Which is a shame because the Ball did great on OYW as a stationary artillery on the back lines and a midrange scout. But Zaku taking a penalty was hilarious though! I'd prefer ignore that scene of the Ball K and many others plot armor bs from 08th MS Team...
For me, the canniness depends on the pilot. If they suck, then you have huge advantage of winning even if you're piloting a GM. If you're fighting Char, you have no chance of winning regardless of what mobile suit you're using.
If I can get my hand on either Pale Rider Space Type or better yet the Todesritter, I would gladly go against Char in either his signature Zaku II Commander type or the Zaku HiMobility Type.
@@ap_trial666 he never got the high mobility, he got a gelgoog and then the zeong. Which the gel google had similar preformance so your not missing much.
@@zfi447 or any other ace zeon pilot. Amuro became an equal in skill to char and was able to beat superior suits like the Zeong in the 78-3, a 2 upgraded with magnetic coating.

GM have slightly better spec than zaku, it just in feds side ms is still new for their pilots. But remember at the end of OYW zeon not in better position either as their advanced ms, Gelgoog was handled to inexperienced young pilot which made zeon cannot turn the situation into their favor at the A Bao A Qu.
Zaku: definitely not a threat if you know what your doing Dom: very fast, keep on your toes and stay mobile, you got this Gogg: very durable armor, it has an advantage in the water, be careful. Gouf: it’s has a heat rod, so fighting this unit is going to hurt a lot Char’s custom: don’t be afraid of the unit, be afraid of the one piloting it, they don’t call char the red comet for nothing. Char’s z’gok: it’s an underwater unit, you are going to have a serious problem if your fighting underwater with char! Char’s Gelgoog: this is going to be a very challenging fight, the Gelgoog is zeon’s answer to the Gundam, and with char as the pilot, this battle will be challenging! Zeong: this isn’t good, the zeong is a newtype machine, it’s waist, mouth, and fingers have mega particle cannons, if you take out the body you still have to take out the head! Elemeth: not as bad as the zeong, but you are going have some severe hallucinations.
I'd invert Dom and Gogg positions. Gogg is a monster, but very limited by lacking mobility and its reactor melts after long periods out water. On other hand, Dom outspeeds any MS and has one of best armors. Also, one shot from 360mm bazooka is dangerous even for luna titanium alloy.
And there are scarier opponents out there, especially alternate settings. Notably the Destroy Gundam, the meta hate child of the Big Zam and the Psycho Gundam.
The Destroy didn't get a great representation, specifically because of how the confrontation played out. Not to mention, my hatred for Shin distracted me from all but the Freedom.

Dom can easily dodge anything meanwhile gelgoog's blaster is very fast and powerful that can destroy you anytime but guncannon and guntank were the mvp when it come's to those two (from my experienc)
You know i find char just a little more spooky ever since i was told by my friend the only thing custom about Chars Mobile suits are the fact that it has a different paint job he’s just that good-

Considering he doesn't even wear a flight suit 90% of the time to compensate for these high G turns, it's likely his psychic powers are strong enough that he can keep himself from blacking out through sheer will.
It’s not just a paint job. Zeon mobile suits have their thrust limiters capped at 80%, Char had his removed. The reason they call him the red comet is because he’s full throttling the afterburners
One time I had a really cool dream once where I was piloting a custom RGM mobile suit fighting some kind of Zaku variant in a sky battle. Like it was a fun dream. Mine also had something called a Psycho Field which I wrote down immediatly after and added some stuff to it, which then sparked my idea for the RGM-500 Stardust. Extremely maneuverable, full 360 view, railgun tech, beam resistant armor, plasma edged cutting blade, and the ability to create a psycho field which was basically like a particle field that disrupted beam weaponry and shields. So the RGM-500 Stadust is basically made to be like a counter to the extreme beam tech of distant UC.
I want a Mr Incredible becomes uncanny meme but with these options: 1. You have to fight a Zeon Ace 2. You meet this Char Clone 3. You have to fight this Gundam Villain (UC edition) 4. You have to fight this Gundam Villain (AU edition)

In case you are forced to fight him then keep your distance and don't let him engage you in melee combat, he is the master at mobile suit cqc. Just use what experience and what is available to you to survive, you maybe don't managed to kill him but at least you can survive the encounter
Ehh the Dom's generally scarier than the Gogg, sure the Gogg's got Zeon's first beam weapons but it's slow. It was only a real threat since Amuro only had the mace and vulcans at the time.
Great video. As a (not skilled) veteran of video game Gundam Federation VS Zeon, GM was my main vehicle. A few words: Fighting a Zaku II: not as easy as it seems. His 120mm gun can rack up much damage over time, when GM’s beam spray gun has limited amount of ammo and a rather long reload time. A GM newbie usually get killed either due to 1. Used up all the shots then get wrecked during reload or 2. Attempt to CQC then get wrecked - GM’s beam Saber CQC movements are simply too clumsy for newbies. Time the shots wisely; a Zaku II will not last more than 3 full hits by the beam gun.
Fighting a DOM: learn their action patterns, keep distance,, time boost to evade rocket shots. Once you learned their actions patterns, you can reliably place a beam on a DOM right before he fires a rocket.
Gogg and Gouf: Easy. Keep your distance, cheese then with your beam shots. In close range, don’t pull out the light saber, GM is slowest in CQC; just give them a beam shot then get away
Gelgoog: at long range space combat, it is actually better to stay still at first, facing the direction of enemy. Gelgoog’s beam rifle shot is a bit slower,. See the beam, side step once, return a shot .
I mean I guess you would have a hard time fighting them but it's the combination between the Mobile Suit and Operator/Pilot that you should be more afraid of. H3ck a lot of them are sometimes Physics...who somehow could do a lot of things like see the future, operate systems that are hard to operate, go full Ultra Instinct on there opponents, and etc...
Honestly, as just some no-named feddie, I'm lucky if a stiff breeze doesn't knock out my squad. The federation gets mopped in like every fight they don't initiate.
There was a scene at the Jaburo base attack when the Gundam destroys some ships. Although there is still the same kind of funky combat music, it felt kinda like a horror movie. Suddenly the Gundam dissapears from enemy's sight and it destroys the enemies while they don't know what is happening. There are some beams that appear before they explode, but for a moment I didn't know if it was the beam rifle or the beam sword at full speed. Then the Gundam appears in front of the ship's captain and uses the swords to destroy weak spots, and before dying he says "the white devil" (or white monster, I don't know about translations). At that point of the series, Amuro was a straight killing machine and his newtype habilities were developing faster. So I started imagining what I would feel if I was a Zeon soldier piloting a Zaku, and the mere thought of seeing a single mobile suit destroying a whole army of mechas and even some ships with an hability beyond human made me feel terrified. Then there is a similar scene with Lalah destroying ships without them knowing what just happened, but there it really is a horror movie scene, especially with that eerie, strange and unsettling sound effect. It is a curious parallelism of how the first fully-fledged newtypes can feel above human to normal humans and how scary their superiority can be

And there are scarier opponents out there, especially alternate settings. Notably the Destroy Gundam, the meta hate child of the Big Zam and the Psycho Gundam.
The Destroy didn't get a great representation, specifically because of how the confrontation played out.

The Gelgoog has a better gun and armor, but almost all GMs carry beam weapons too, so both of them one shot eachother

Dom can easily dodge anything meanwhile gelgoog's blaster is very fast and powerful that can destroy you anytime but guncannon and guntank were the mvp when it come's to those two (from my experienc)

You know i find char just a little more spooky ever since i was told by my friend the only thing custom about Chars Mobile suits are the fact that it has a different paint job

It’s not just a paint job. Zeon mobile suits have their thrust limiters capped at 80%, Char had his removed. The reason they call him the red comet is because he’s full throttling the afterburners

One time I had a really cool dream once where I was piloting a custom RGM mobile suit fighting some kind of Zaku variant in a sky battle. Like it was a fun dream. Mine also had something called a Psycho Field which I wrote down immediatly after and added some stuff to it, which then sparked my idea for the RGM-500 Stardust. Extremely maneuverable, full 360 view, railgun tech, beam resistant armor, plasma edged cutting blade, and the ability to create a psycho field which was basically like a particle field that disrupted beam weaponry and shields. So the RGM-500 Stadust is basically made to be like a counter to the extreme beam tech of distant UC.
Psycho Field is Canon to Gundam BTW. A lot of mobile armors have it.

In case you are forced to fight him then keep your distance and don't let him engage you in melee combat, he is the master at mobile suit cqc. Just use what experience and what is available to you to survive, you maybe don't managed to kill him but at least you can survive the encounter

As a (not skilled) veteran of video game Gundam Federation VS Zeon, GM was my main vehicle. A few words:
Fighting a Zaku II: not as easy as it seems. His 120mm gun can rack up much damage over time, when GM’s beam spray gun has limited amount of ammo and a rather long reload time. A GM newbie usually get killed either due to 1. Used up all the shots then get wrecked during reload or 2. Attempt to CQC then get wrecked - GM’s beam Saber CQC movements are simply too clumsy for newbies. Time the shots wisely; a Zaku II will not last more than 3 full hits by the beam gun.
Fighting a DOM: learn their action patterns, keep distance,, time boost to evade rocket shots. Once you learned their actions patterns, you can reliably place a beam on a DOM right before he fires a rocket.
Gogg and Gouf: Easy. Keep your distance, cheese then with your beam shots. In close range, don’t pull out the light saber, GM is slowest in CQC; just give them a beam shot then get away
Char’s custom Zaku: he is not invincible. Don’t get into close quarters, keep shooting.
Gelgoog: at long range space combat, it is actually better to stay still at first, facing the direction of enemy. Gelgoog’s beam rifle shot is a bit slower,. See the beam, side step once, return a shot .

There was a scene at the Jaburo base attack when the Gundam destroys some ships. Although there is still the same kind of funky combat music, it felt kinda like a horror movie.
Suddenly the Gundam dissapears from enemy's sight and it destroys the enemies while they don't know what is happening. There are some beams that appear before they explode, but for a moment I didn't know if it was the beam rifle or the beam sword at full speed.
Then the Gundam appears in front of the ship's captain and uses the swords to destroy weak spots, and before dying he says "the white devil" (or white monster, I don't know about translations).
At that point of the series, Amuro was a straight killing machine and his newtype habilities were developing faster. So I started imagining what I would feel if I was a Zeon soldier piloting a Zaku, and the mere thought of seeing a single mobile suit destroying a whole army of mechas and even some ships with an hability beyond human made me feel terrified.
Then there is a similar scene with Lalah destroying ships without them knowing what just happened, but there it really is a horror movie scene, especially with that eerie, strange and unsettling sound effect.
It is a curious parallelism of how the first fully-fledged newtypes can feel above human to normal humans and how scary their superiority can be
The nightmare one should just be a picture of all the MCs. Especially the likes of Amuro or Kamille.
