Some pals have some similarities for pokemon, but theres other that from Digimon, and MH. FYI pokemon does not own the rights to a fire breathing dragon...
I’d say theres a 50/50 chance, at best, that Nintendo find anything worth bringing up in a lawsuit. My problem with the similarities is that, I think the developers could make some great designs if they really wanted to
it's really annoying how every game in the monster catching genre HAS to be associated with pokemon. palworld is it's own game, it's open-world, it has crafting, bosses, guns and even it's own lore. my point is that Palworld has many things unrelated to the monster catching genre and that's what sets it apart from games like pokemon.
Nintendo owns Pokemon, but it doesn't own Pokemon's artstyle. Calling Palworld lazy because it succeded at replicating Pokemon's artstyle is weird, considering it's meant to be a parody
Thats just the thing; Palworld is a pretty amazing game, and each part of it is unique to some degree. Even alot of the Pals have interesting designs. I call it lazy because I think they have more than enough creativity to make the Pals unique to Palworld; maybe even to have mascots that rival Pikachu
Even as a kid, the new games will feel a little watered down. Today’s kids are smarter than we were, but the new games are still dumbed down and nerfed
Theres quite a few issues here. You say its mostly cpmplete yet developers have stated its *Maybe 60%. Its barely half way done. The glotches are an issue but for early access and for $30 when AAA games are releasing games with $100 ultra editions that are nearly unplayable, buggy, aweful gameplay loop, crap art design, etc. Pal worl overcomes all that with a crack like gameplay loop. Tbh im wondering if youve played the game beyond the first boss if that.
I agree with you for the most part; Although the developers assure us that theres alot to be done for the final game, it depends on whether alot of the UI or animations are placeholders. Im sure they’ll be able to fix it all before the official release, but I simply dont know what they consider ‘final’ from the existing elements. And although the glitches are WAY better than what we’ve gotten from AAA games, I still dont want to ignore when glitches are a problem. For context; Lords of the Fallen was made by a very small studio with little expectations, but even then, every channel including here, acknowledged the issues that were making it difficult to enjoy playing. The glitches dont completely ruin the game, but if theres a genuine problem, then we should acknowledge it. Being Early Access, Palworld is beating most other games this year. The issues we see right now, simply mean that Palworld is staying on top without reaching its final form. Once the finalized version is released, Palworld may as well be a GOTY contendor. I hope I could give my view thoroughly and i’m glad that viewers like can give such deep feedback. Thanks for watching!
I do think Palworld uses ideas from alot of different games, and its a pretty good mix. The Pokemon comparison only comes up more often because of the similar designs, which end reminding people a bit too much about pokemon. Things like Digimon have a unique enough design, but Palworld LOOKS a bit more like Pokemon. Its just a side effect of presentation. My point for comparing it so much is only for the potential lawsuit; if it turns out that Nintendo have no case, then Palworld will continue to grow without any further worries
It’s mixed up enough elements to set itself apart. But what would be your opinion on the way it handled using those elements from other games? i.e Is it fine as long as the overall game is different, or do you think it went a little too far with the way it repurposed assets and ideas? Just wanted to hear your individual opinion about it
My comment I typed didnt post for some reason. I like the inspired amalgamation of concepts both artistically and mechanically but no 1:1 rip of anything. The pals are (some of them), oddly similar to Pokémon. However, this is so different that I still love my Pokémon games and collecting. Won't stop me from playing Pokémon.
@@michaelthomashill, that is exactly the point I was hoping to get out. As you mentioned; A good amalgamation, but nothing 1:1. The slight similarity to Pokemon isnt a problem, but to me, its a little disappointing
I like the game it’s very fun yet I can’t believe the Pokémon and Nintendo community’s want to beat there competition just by suing them just because there stuff better then them and there to lazy to make a better game.
Theres a lot that Pokemon can learn from Palworld, simply by hearing what the fans like so much about it compared to Pokemon. We can only hope they actually learn a lesson for their next game
Not every pocket monster game is Pokémon. It’s like saying digimon or yokai watch are ripping off Pokémon when Pokémon has ripped off both series a couple times. Palworld is entire its own franchise and needs to be treated as such. I’m tired of Pokémon fans whining about the similarities.
Although it’s technically different, you cant really ignore the similarities to several games. Not all of it is a lawsuit, but its just noticeable. Kind of like how Genshin Impact reused so many ideas from Breath of the Wild; it may not be illegal, but it feels uninspired. I only have an issue with the designs because I think Palworld can do so much better
@@Altaz-Review hopefully palworld will be accepted like genshin eventually. BOTW fans utterly despised the existence of genshin when it first came out so hopefully palworld will get accepted too.
@@hunterkline7972Palworld definitely has that potential. Once they iron out the last little issues, it’ll be hard to write off Palworld as “just a copy”

Exactly. Pokémon fans need to quit whining about the similarities. It is entirely its own franchise separate from Pokémon.
@@hunterkline7972 yeah and even IF it is copied, who cares? the game is fun so who cares if they took inspiration from pokemon?
@@Voipy exactly all that matters is they made a game that’s fun and people actually enjoy. That’s better than Pokémon can do.

Copyright infringement isn't my problem. Palworld is fun and I'm going to play it.
As much as I’d like to agree, the only fear is that Nintendo doesn’t allow Fun if it’s not from Nintendo itself
