Although it's distant, that looks definitely a Black Leopard. The body length, long tail and sheer speed of it. No other animal in Britain moves like that!.

@@theceo678yearsago5 Hasbara troll/bot account, there is no way a domestic cat can travel across a field at the speed of a big cat like a cougar or a leopard. Stop gaslighting and trying to insult peoples intelligence and common sense.
Of course we wouldn't. They are still scared/wary of humans and are very elusive. They mainly live in forests/woodland which are not visited frequently by humans. They are more active from dusk to dawn. They can live and adapt (fur colour) to live in any climate. Their is plenty of food (rabbits, rodents, fish, deer, sheep) for them to hunt and eat. Even in countries where people 'accept' that they live sightings are rare. I'm shocked at how dumbed down people are in this country and won't believe things unless it's in the 'news' They are definitely here (how many were released into the wild following the 1976 act) are breeding, are very territorial and that's why sightings are becoming more common.
I know there are probably thousands of rabbits living in my local park. Just because I don't see them often (saw a few over the years but only when getting dark) doesn't mean that they aren't there.

More likely to be a Greyhound. Too fast for a Panther.
Black Leopards are incredibly fast over that sort of distance. I have seen one run at speed and it would beat a Greyhound.
Dogs run in a more linear fashion. This one had that classic cat like bounding movement to it.
It wasn’t a puma. They aren’t black. It did appear to be a large cat of that body shape though.
It was a panther (a black version of a leopard) same cat.
