My personal head canon for Toxi is that he's literally just Bizzaro but Optimus Prime He thinks he's the real Optimus, but he's a flawed clone, and his "Matrix" is radio active
I saw the reveal of the new one based on the Legacy figure and I keep alternating on whether I want it or not. It's a cool colour scheme, but I've already got the Scourge repaint of it and I could get a different upcoming Leader Class instead. They know how to keep interest at Hasbro
If they did a main line Toxitron, what would Megatron be Captain Planet? Environmental shattered glass universe? Imagine Megatron with that blue face and green helmet lol.
I really hope they make one off of the Legacy Laser Prime mold, it would be the most fitting. Would be a day 1 purchase (i assume it would be a Pulse thing)
They kinda lost their plot on this character. The only reason he was a repaint of Optimus Prime was because Laser Prime came with a tanker, it fits the whole toxic waste theme. But now he's just a modern truck that's leaking goo and looks like Optimus Prime for no reason. I don't like it. There's already too many evil Optimus clones. There's no reason this Toxic Avenger homage needs to be an Optimus repaint.
I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I think he's supposed to be another one of Shockwave's victims who was made to look like Prime, and following a few scuffles became part of the Wreckers. Personally, I like the idea of a Prime lookalike who's feared because of his constantly leaking toxic ooze, but is still a good bot at heart. A hero with the same brutality as bayverse prime.
Reason CW Tox has the same head as PotP Nemesis is because Hasbro planned to use that head for a CW Nemesis, but then Takara made Grand Scourge. So they let FunPub use it.
