My DSC alarm started beeping (continuous beep) every Sunday for the past 4 weeks. If I don't enter my master passcode, the burglar alarm goes off and wakes up my entire neighborhood. First few times when this happened, I saw memory 8 and 8 indicates motion detector. My house has a set up to beep when we open any of the windows/doors and we have multiple windows in a 2 story home. How do I diagnose what triggers this issue and why does this alarm goes off only on sundays? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks for your incredibly useful videos! 1. When armed in “stay” mode, without disarming, is there a way to see which were the zones that were bypassed? 2. Related to the above, when I am in armed stay mode, by default, my keypad (5501) shows “bypass”, even though I did not enter any bypassed zones prior to arming. Is this normal? Even disarming and rearming “stay” tells me a zone is bypassed. Not sure if this is a function of arming “stay” with interior motions bypassed, or something else..other peoples keypads when armed stay don’t seem to show bypass Thanks!
Hi. I have a legal suite with its own alarm panel, but it's currently copying the main panel. This suit has 3 zones and main house has 12 zones. Is it possible to separate panels so tenants could have their own alarm and not disturb main?
Yes. It's a bit complicate to explain in text but you can set the pannel and the zones of that section in a second partition. They then will be kinda seperate.
I accidentally threw the connector cable that connects the 12v battery w/ the DSC control panel. Is there a cable that's ready made that I can buy online? I understand that it's F1 terminal on the battery side. which one is on the DSC control panel side?
When I press *1 the screen stays blank, I'll continue by typing in the zone and it's still blank. Not seeing the X-door icon either. What have I done wrong. Using a dsc 5501.
You might have a very old DSC alarm system. Time to upgrade. I don't even mess with anything older than DSC 5555 panels. I don't even think you can get any tech support on panels that old.
Can you help me-- I have a error 6 that shows zones 9 and 16-- even i bypass I cannot arm, and unfortunately I do not have a map (installer did not provide one) batteries on transmitters are good can you help me please !! ??
Which DSC panel is this ? The 1832 you are required to push the star ⭐ following the zone number, a " B " will appear on the lower right hand corner. Or depending on the keypad you have.

It's hard to explain like that on text. You need to proceed by elimination.

When armed to stay mode, only motion sensor will be bypassed. That's it.

You can surely find a new cable but I never shop them. I don't understand the F1 thing?

Try to do master code after *1

great vid! Helped me tons. However, there is no video in the upper right corner for the permanent setting :')
Probably a device error. It's there. Reach the ''i'' on top you will see it.

It's a 1616. Exact same thing as the 1832.
