Rob, How do we know when it's time to teardown a Scotty to repair the wood underneath? I just bought a 15 foot Scotty last month just like in this video. It has some water damage but it all original. Only thing missing is a fridge.

I look at all the seams and for traces of water damage around all of the openings.

My 71 Scotty does not have a letter before the vin. I assume that means it was made in Pennsylvania.

A teardrop can be near 500-700 pounds. A 13 foot camper could be 900-1100 pounds. After you check length, then check for interior. Refrigerators, AC, furnace etc. all add weight.

How do you clean paint off the hubs caps? Mine are painted and don’t know how to get it back to original.
