I feel like a lot of the "beefs" and rivalries between the female artists in the 80s and 90s were created by the media and the men in their respective camps, if you notice most of them didnt really meet until years later into their career. I think the divide was created to manipulate them and make sure they wouldnt talk, compare contracts, salaries, etc.. and become too opinionated.
The industry has been doing that for years. If anyone has the time The Feud is a great show about that topic. Bette Davis and Joan Crawford were pitted against each other for years. Sad part is that they could have had a great friendship if not for the messiness of the industry.

You need information before the crime took place to understand why it happened and how it happened.
