Two things to note about North Sentinel island: The natives were quite friendly when first contacted, there’s even footage of them wading into the water to greet researches, however shortly after massive numbers of them died from diseases and it was then they became extremely hostile. Lastly, the missionary who was killed by them actually returned back to the island a second time after being scared away and let to leave the first time he showed up; this is usually the trend for people who enter the island, they get run off the first time they trespass, although there have been exceptions. Best to just leave them be.
I believe (and hope I don’t get it mixed up with another place) that one time when some tornado or a flood or something was approaching or had already hit, a helicopter came in to deliver supplies but they ended up not because they kept on getting spears throws at the helicopter
An interesting fact about the North Sentinel Island tribe is that for ages they technologically lived in a Stone Age due to the lack of any minerals on their island they could use... Till recently. In the last half a century (don't remember the exact date) a massive ship crashed on the island's shore. While the people on the ship were rescued by the Navy in the end, the ship itself was never recovered and the Sentinels realised they couldn't repurpose it. During recent sightings of Sentinels, they were spotted using steel tools and weapons using steel from the ship. Some of those tools were probably melted down, meaning that Sentinels learnt how to smelt steel to give in new uses.
Someone has to be dropping fresh genetic meat off on the island every so often. If they have been on the island for over 60,000 years they would have killed their own people off from inbreeding by now.
imagine they advance completely and we literally get to watch how humans evolve and they end up expanding to nearby islands and making city's within the next few hundred years
2:43 i would like to mention that he was also warned by the tribe themselves, TWICE. they had shot at him 2 other times before successfully killing him. if someone shooting arrows at you doesn't tell you "LEAVE ME ALONE, DO NOT COME CLOSE" well enough, then nothing will. bro knew full well what he was getting into and still tried to convert them after all these warnings and knowing that the tribe kills outsiders.

An interesting piece of information about the Snake Island in Brazil: During the military dominated regime in the 1960's, the military would send prisoners, usually consisting of university students who spoke up about the oppression of freedom in the country, to the island. Many students would be lost, some showing up dead. I was watching this video in my kitchen when my mother heard the snake island part and told me that a relative of ours had actually survived their ordeal on the island, coming home extremely skinny, weak, and extremely bruised.
