Glad I could help! I'm planning another video on how to use these telescopes with a section dedicated to this motor. Unfortunately, the clouds keep telling me no!

I liked your video, it helped me with several doubts. I bought this engine, it will arrive next Thursday. I subscribed to the channel, I'm from Brazil.
I do have same set-up and working excellently. The only one bug in motor drive is ... "I am living in Northern hemisphere, but I have to swith Southern hemisphere in this motor drive" Else works perfect....
Did you install it on the opposite side? You probably like to use your right hand to manually adjust but with the motor you use left side for the flexible knob. (But you won't need it as you release the clutch and move everything by hand instead when motor is installed.)
Hi Sir I have a doubt regarding the RA Motor How do the speed of the motor drive be maintained with the object so that the object is in centre As depending on from how far the object is from south/north pole star, the speed varies....
Recien compré ese telescopio, espero que con 30 segundos de exposición sea suficiente para mostrarme las galaxias, no necesito fotos tan nitidas, solo ver su estructura.
Im actually looking to buy this exact telescope for begginer observation and astrophotography. Could you elaborate a bit more on the pros and cons of the motor as well as its limitations regarding astrophotography? Is there any other telescope near this price range that you think is more worth it?
For beginner observation I believe the 130eq-md is a great scope. The motor keeps planets in the eyepiece which makes it easier to show to other people. Also when taking video (planetary pictures are best when you use a video with a program like Registax or Autostakkart) the motor can make your videos much longer. As for the other pictures (Orion Nebula, Pleiades, Andromeda), they took HOURS of tuning the motor, and finding the targets. Keep in mind that the ring nebula is the only picture that I had the camera attached to the telescope! The other pictures were made by removing the telescope tube, and using 1/4"-20 threaded piggyback adapter on the telescope rings. Effectively using the telescope mount/motor as a makeshift star-tracker. For deep sky photography, I'd recommend saving a few more dollars and getting the Nextstar 4se, as it has the wedge mount to eliminate the alt-az induced field rotation. And it will track the sky more precisely without having to constantly adjust it.
What a very wonderful and interesting video. Please I've been searching the whole internet about this Motor Drive. Please sir can you make a video about it trying to photograph Deep Sky Objects like Messier 51 please I'm selling my telescopes just to try this method and this Motor Drive .. please sir that would be very helpful I swear. Please a video showing this telescope using this Motor Drive tracking M51 through the telescope and thank you so much
Yessss i was looking for this video. Thanks for the information

what piggyback mount do you use for attaching your camera on top of Celestron Astromaster?
I have the same setup, telescope and motor. But when I attach the motor, it wont move the actual telescope. Can you tell me why?

My Motor runs not so fast like yours even if i turn on the wheel. Did you prepare it?
Hello, you can use slow motion RA Knob when motor is attached to telescope?
Using the slow motion RA knob is NOT possible while the motor is attached to the telescope.
