I experienced the same thing about 9 hours ago in California, total darkness around 3am. It happens every 24 hours here, so not sure what the big deal is.
Can I sue if the eclipse makes me go blind?

@@gloriawells5531 the eclipse glasses the dude is wearing. They’re completely dark
I wish it was a full eclipse. But it was cool. First life time I ever seen one in my life.
I’m on the south side of Chicago, it barely got dark or lasted long. I was driving and momentarily I noticed a difference. I guess all the hype was for tourism and money 🙄
A big distraction
A Chicago eclipse
😊😊😊
I dont wanna hear that paper glasses are safer than actual sunglasses... Im not wasting money
they’re bc solar eclipse glasses are literally for uv rays and solar rays….sunglasses just basically but an orange filter over light to make it dimmer it is not the same thing. A girl looked up at the eclipse with sunglasses and a day later she couldn’t see anything but black shapes and the shape of the eclipse was burned into her retina but believe what you want it’s not like those glasses have been around for ages and have always been the safest thing to use 😂
@@pixieparradoxx I looked up at it briefly with sunglasses on. My eyes are fine, should I be worried for the next day?
@@CalebWilliams2030 i honestly don’t know i’m not a professional and the video i saw on that could’ve easily been fakes but the paper glasses have always been the standard way to look at them and i don’t see why that would be a thing if they didn’t actually do something different than sunglasses. The paper glasses are actually made to look directly at the sun which you’re never supposed to do even if there isn’t an eclipse and sunglasses are not made to look directly at the sun they’re made to lessen the harshness of the light from the sun. So i imagine they don’t do the same thing. But you might be fine, i wouldn’t really know….
@@pixieparradoxx I’m fine today fyi. I just think the eclipse was made a big deal, even though in Chicago, I barely noticed it.
My goodness, making this sound like NO ONE ever saw an eclipse before. Just get the proper glasses and go.
