I'll definitely make an effort to do a tutorial on this as it has been requested a lot! Hopefully I'll be able to get one released soon for you Daniel :)
Hi Kayleigh and thank´s for sharing your knowledge! I´ve seen a lot of tutorials for skinretouching and colorgrading and one thing they all have in common is that it´s focused on one or a few images. I would like to see if there is a way to work with a bigger amount of images when it comes to skintone and colorgrading / correction? I´m shooting a lot of images for e-commerce , both in studio and in natural light. I do a basic whitbalance for my rawfiles but then i find it very difficult to get a natural and a professional look in the final result. It´s impossible for me to work with every image to long when I often have around 100 similar images that all needs to be fixed. I understand if it´s an impossible mission to get a nice result in a short time, but maybe you have some ideas. Thanks anyway :-)
Hi Kristoffer! Thanks for watching :) I absolutely know of couple of potential techniques that you could use in this situation, (I also used to do a lot of ecommerce retouching!) It's actually a fabulous idea for some videos that I hadn't thought to do a tutorial on before, so I'll definitely put it on my requests list and create some tutorials for e-comm skin retouching! 😊
Haha! I did consider it but figured I'd try to keep this tutorial contained to colour grading and skin retouching 😁 I use a Dell XPS PC currently, I believe the specs are 512GB SSD, 2TB HDD , i7 core, 16GB RAM. I also have a Microsoft surface book for travelling. 🙂
Hello. I saw a video from you where you color graded using the black and white adjustment layers (which was genius). Do you still use that method now your using C1?
I do! 😊 It depends on the photo shoot, however I usually prefer to use the b&w layers for colour grading on studio images. (Not natural light as much) Having said that, sometimes I still also apply them in PS after doing a basic colour grade in Capture One to add more definition to the skin tone. 🙂
CEO of saying "little bit" hahaha all love. Thank you for this video!
Stunning! So impressed!
loved the result! i just couldn't see what was going on at times but i absolutely love your work!
Thank you so much for sharing! You’re the best.
Very interesting! thank you! And I love that you didn't overretouche it.
The dodge and burn procedure can be done in C1 as well, with separate layer masks. Why do you prefer PS instead?
I'd love to see you do a tutorial on someone with some acne as I really struggle with this and your tips are really helpful!
