Agree, he should change the title or add personal preference to the title because most of the game mentions are the game that I already played for a couple of hours maybe 3 but didn't bother playing it again now it's collecting dust on my steam library.
Rise of the Ronin is MUST- PLAY game if you love games with great swordplay. It's the most fun I've had in years; it flows really well, the parrying (counterspark) is SO satisfying, especially when done back to back. And for those that like trophy hunting, the Platinum is pretty easy to get
Nioh 2 is the undisputed king of game combat for me. Monster Hunter close 2nd. both games have weapons that feels AND plays differently from each other.
Personal favourites of mine in terms of gameplay in no particular order Black Myth Wukong Armoured core 6 God of war ragnarok Elden Ring Spider man 2 Ratchet and clank rift apart Sekiro shadows die twice Dragons dogma 2 Warhammer 40k Space marine 2 Cyberpunk 2077
We who are about to die is an early access title on steam that is essentially a must play for anyone who likes a "Gladiator Simulator". Combat resembles that of Mount and Blade with a unique twist and insanely addictive gameplay
I think you shouldn't be able to patent game mechanics. Because something so cool can then never be improved upon or recreated unless the owner does. Some of these are amazing combat ideas.
@@johananj.j8003 nooo brother nooo what he meant was the lack of enemy variety, GoT takes the AC approach of "same 3 enemies, 20 different ways to kill them" meanwhile other games like Sekiro is very very repetitive combat wise but the enemy variety makes the difference "you have the same sword, use it to beat 75 different enemies" Meanwhile some games actually succeeded to thrive in both aspects like Kena Bridge of spirits, it gave you different enemies and the required skills to counter them.
@@coldasice1553By that logic most games in this list are repetitive and shouldn't be in the list. Games always get repetitive for different enemies, unless you're a proper gamer and can adapt to any kind of games. Sekiro is repetitive to a guy who wants combat mastery and GOT can be repetitive to someone expecting enemy mastery. Kena has both, but it doesn't master none, but only saved by its shorter runtime.
@@johananj.j8003 umm nah I'm just explaining what he meant by repetitive.. I respect opinions and know that everyone has their own definition of fun. But I personally think that you feel the freshness of the game more by having to encounter different enemies rather than having you fight the same enemy in 20 different scenarios. That's why Sekiro id GOATed, it gives you the feeling of being OTP and still suck for the longest time possible, meanwhile GoT makes you feel like a war god experiencing new methods to punish the enemy bc after some time you will just autopilot the combat.
I've played most of these games and I definitely approve of all of them!! Special mention to streets of rage 4. Anyone can play it since there's a mobile version as well 😊
Gotta suggest Rogue Legacy 2, a roguelite metroidvania that i can't put it down even after hours. Its just so satisfying and every run requires you to use a different class with different perks and so on. Ive slept on that game for sooo much time.
Elden ring honestly has the same combat that of Dark souls trilogy just many more variety of weapons I'd say Bloodborne or Lies of P would have been a better addition.
Play the middle earth shadow games on second hardest difficulties and find the true nemesis system, that thing is a marvel, too bad wb decided to kill it with patent.
did they patch up "metal gear revengence" ? the perry glitch was sooooooo OP i told my mate i could beat the boss blindfolded, he didn't believe me till i did it in front of him...his mouth dropped hahahahaha i would like to also recommend "bullet storm" and "bayonetta 3" (although you can't go wrong with any of the bayonetta)
a messed up list, gow ragnarok should be puzzle-focused game instead combat and doom is shooting-focused game, you were spent more time doing puzzle solving in gow and shooting in doom
I will never understand why everyone forgets about Shadow of War. Its way better and has a lot bigger and better nemesis system.
Indeed, a considerable improvement over Mordor in terms of combat.
The micro-transactions on launch gave it a bad name, now its addicting as hell with endgame wraith builds 🔥
Agree, he should change the title or add personal preference to the title because most of the game mentions are the game that I already played for a couple of hours maybe 3 but didn't bother playing it again now it's collecting dust on my steam library.
Shadow of War is insanely good.
that's the game that lock achievements through Microtransaction lmao
Mad max 2015, Sleeping dogs 2012
not having nioh 2 on this list is actually criminal. no offense.

Yes bro
Yep. Nioh and nioh 2 have the best combat of any 3rd person game out there
Nioh 2 is amazing
Yep, Editor didn’t try Nioh 2, only explanation
Man I just came here to say Nioh 2 too. It is the peak of 3D melee combat in gaming for me.
VERY Honorable Mention: *Nier:Automata*
We all know it's not combat focused by any means.. it's just is GOATed that everything looks solid
Nah, the combat system sucks actually, specially the stagger system, it just made me sick and I did not continue the game after a few hours...
Same with me. Got weird motion sickness from it and couldn't continue. Which is a shame because everyone seems to love it so much@@smie9032
I would gladly play that game if it is not anime styled
Not at all
Dying Light. The parkour and combat mixed together feels so satisfying along with the animation.
Personal favourites of mine in terms of gameplay in no particular order
Black Myth Wukong
Armoured core 6
God of war ragnarok
Elden Ring
Spider man 2
Ratchet and clank rift apart
Sekiro shadows die twice
Dragons dogma 2
Warhammer 40k Space marine 2
Cyberpunk 2077
Addicting combat!! Gladiator Begins for PSP comes to mind. Most addicting game I have ever played.
Appreciate your efforts. Nice to see a different list for a change.
I hope sunset overdrive comes to ps5, that game deserves so much love
Try Returnal if you haven’t already… an all-timer !
We who are about to die is an early access title on steam that is essentially a must play for anyone who likes a "Gladiator Simulator". Combat resembles that of Mount and Blade with a unique twist and insanely addictive gameplay
The Shadow of Mordor mechanic was not copied because it was patented )
Fantastic list of games.
Special shout out for including Sunset Overdrive!
Batman Arkham City / Knight 🫳🎤
Mad Max, Midnight Fight Express, For Honor, Godfall. Just to name a few not on this list
Your writing is excellent. Good stuff!
If y'all like Sunset Overdrive. Y'all love Gori Cuddly Carnage!
I think you shouldn't be able to patent game mechanics. Because something so cool can then never be improved upon or recreated unless the owner does. Some of these are amazing combat ideas.
Great list, though I'd probably include Ghost of Tsushima as well
Don't take me wrong but the combat became so much repatative
@@himanshupandey8771That's pretty much every game in this list. And repetition and loop has always been part of gaming to be honest.

Nier Automata and Final Fantasy XVI should've at least been honorable mentions

I would also say Severed Steele. It is amazing.
Good list, Sunset Overdrive and Sifu are amazing.
ARMORED CORE 6, best combat ever
Ultrakill mentioned, liked

theres a new game that uses Sifu as inspiration but its more street style fighters. kinda like raid redemption. it looks awesome
Excellent list man. Immediate sub. Remnant 2 is one of the best games I've ever played.
all of these are awesome
however Assassin's creed 3 and Ghost of tsushima are my personal faves : D
Darktide would be gucci
One of my favorites is Returnal.
Its basically third person contra but i love it
if it’s not a shooter i do love melee or fighting games. love blade and sorcery for vr and chivalry 2 on console.
Where is "Sleeping Dogs"?
brrruhhh the KING and RULER of this REALM of COMBAT would like a word...NIOH 1/2 stands above all. no contest.
The combat system of Chivalry is mostly Mount & Blade though, isn't it?
Great job. Love your videos
Three words
GORI CUDDLY CARNAGE
Ghost of tsushima
Bro you are awesome. Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
That’s a great list but I think you could have mentioned Armored Core 6 as well 🖖
can`t believe you skipped For Honor
I don't see Returnal here. For those who are looking for exceptional combat based games, check Returnal out. The list is good tho.
can't believe darktide is not on the list :/
Helldivers 2, Nioh 2, Elden Ring all have combat focused experiences that trump their rivals on here
Elden ring honestly has the same combat that of Dark souls trilogy just many more variety of weapons I'd say Bloodborne or Lies of P would have been a better addition.
@@darkestprince1756 I disagree, the mounted combat and extra ashes of war make elden ring stand out. Bloodborne is good too though

He didn't know how to play as Doom Guy 22:06
doom eternal totally deserve no. 1 position
Mad max should be here
Sleeping dogs should have made the list
Facts!
Urban Reign on ps2
The Reason we dont see another Nemessis system is because WB has patented it.
you forgot madmax
Level 999 on Sekiro XD
Vermintide 2 and Darktide both better than Space Marine2.
why " for honor" is not in the list ?
Good list. Remnant 2 is my current favorite game of all time. I’m gonna have to go back and try that LOTR game again.
I was able to put them all down, just saying !
Black Myth Wukong
Black myth Wukong
No Bayonetta ?
did they patch up "metal gear revengence" ? the perry glitch was sooooooo OP i told my mate i could beat the boss blindfolded, he didn't believe me till i did it in front of him...his mouth dropped hahahahaha
i would like to also recommend "bullet storm" and "bayonetta 3" (although you can't go wrong with any of the bayonetta)
Arkham city and knight
hi fi rush is "almost cartoony"....?
Risk of Rain 2 😌
Why does dude sound like fextra?
Lies of P!!!
Batman Arkham Knight
a messed up list, gow ragnarok should be puzzle-focused game instead combat and doom is shooting-focused game, you were spent more time doing puzzle solving in gow and shooting in doom

The Horizon series has superb combat too

Not having nioh 2 on here makes this whole video absolute poo.
Addictive*
Where the f**k is arkham knight/city/origins
Bro go the worst gameplay in doom eternal
Garbage list lmao. Nioh 2 has THE best combat system in terms of variety, depth, and challenge
I'm disliking the video since you didn't include Cars 2
Respectfully the new god of war games combat is boring as hell.
Respectfully, you should move the fuck on..
doom no.1 realy? lol
