IIRC, it had something to do with her class layout. Believe it or not, she has four different classes, and three of them are centered around military leadership although her total level is only around 6.
Siluri Formes Well many times in dnd certain characters might have traits or skills that give pluses to certain roles. So basically she could have had a recent bonus like, “goblin general” or “chief” that gave her at least a +1 on summoning a goblin army. So like her first set of goblins came from a 5-10 role the new one is her rolling a 20 but also have the plus to just make an op as fuck army.
She rolled a 20, then the dm didn't like it so forced a re roll, and another 20, the dm said, no go, and forced yet another roll... Guess what, another 20... Dm said "fuck it, you get a super goblin army. FML"
My thoughts on Enri's special army summon. The 3 requirements she met were 1. Her leadership attribute was very high. She was acknowledged as a leader by her village, the goblins and the ogres that were far stronger than her. 2. She maxed out the loyalty of her 1st goblin force. She bought gear for them and saw to all their needs. As a result, they would gladly give up their lives to protect her without hesitation. 3. She summoned the 2nd goblin army with the intent of helping her first goblin army. This factor is the most important. The desire to keep her 1st army safe triggered the horn to send it's best possible army because she didn't see the goblins as fodder, but as friends.
Compared to players in the game her leadership levels are pretty low and in the game you couldn't interact with them like you can in the new world. So for those reasons I'd say your first and second requirements are off
@Monty Python I don't see how you could reach such a flawed conclusion. Aside from a guild leader, the average player would have 0 in their leadership attribute. No npc's or monsters would acknowledge them as a leader unless there was a quest or a tamer class, and even that might be temporary. In terms of usage, yes you probably couldn't give them gear but you could make sure their group wasn't wiped out when they were summoned. It's a safe assumption that the old requirement was to keep original goblin army alive for X amount of time without losing any units. Casting healing spells or using healing items would have raised their "trust" stat to the needed levels but they were just goblins so nobody was going to use resources for them.
@Moebius JDX for the leadership thing I say that because in the character sheets the only levels she has are 1 farmer, 1 sargent, 2 commander, 2 general. and from looking at other characters sheets the common classes seem to max out at 15 the mid tier classes seem to max out at 10 and the high tier ones seem to max out at 5 so even if general was a high tier class she has less than half the total levels for it. And I could be wrong but it seems like you need to max out lower tiered classes before getting the better ones. And I say seems because it looks that way on most of them but its not specifically stated I don't think

the 3 conditions for summoning goblin army: Level of threat: The more danger the user is in, the larger army it would summon Level of command: The more capable the user is, more diverse army. Level of loyalty: If the previous army is still alive upon the time of usage, the army would hold more capable inviduals (redcap and strategist) 5000 enemies, 5000 goblins. As the previous army was still alive and completely loyal, they got more capable inviduals with the redcap and strategist. and diverse army requires greater understanding of art of war, which Enri herself does not have in certainty, but as she has others helping her (Commander goblin, adventurer, alchemist and so on), she practically is leader with commanding capability far beyond normal leader. This is my own take on this.
Reigo J Good theory that would probably explained why there were so many of these because in the actual game you need to have some previous goblin alive but since they are so weak they would probably all die off before you can use the next one
It would make more sense if 1) blow first horn and don't lose any goblin for x amount of time 2) Be a leader (chieftain) and lead an army 3) have a level in commanding or general class
i believe the horn hold some contradiction in iggdrasil system. Your "level of loyalty" could also be seen as "relationship with the goblin faction" where a relationship above neutral would prompt more goblins to answer the call, but to obtain the horn you have to loot it on goblin therefore reducing your relationship with them below neutral. Enri didnt got that problem since she didnt needed to kill goblins to obtain the horn but in addition to that she kept good relation with goblins even calling them by name. Enri first horn probably had the effect of a "neutral" relationship and spawned a small amount of average goblins like in Iggdrasil but the second horn was more potent due to Enri having improved the relationship to a higher level.
we know that there is atleast 3 conditions to be met from the novel, which is where I based these 3 conditions. Loyalty with trough faction system is sensible option via game system, but that is not exactly something we can measure by overlord standards, which made me divide it into this order. No one in game of yggdrasil would even consider summoning 20 or so level 5-10 gobs after reaching areas where enemies are above level 20, so level of threat becomes viable option here for one condition, as in game world great numbers is rarer than in world of overlord. the level of command is something that would normally in game be tied to specific job, but in overlord world it can be measured in multiple ways without that specific job being necessary, and commanders vassals are something that counts towards ones ability to lead in more "lenient" system of overlord

And because Enri immediately integrated the first troop into the community, the human workers are already accustomed to working with the goblins and goblins in turn are accustomed to coordinating with the human laborers. And this has as much to do with Enri's nature as it does with the nature of the goblins themselves. Founding a human militia from the surviving townsfolk and using the skills the goblins brought to train them, was essentially Enri's decision. But it means between having the goblins work during down time and having a fresh supply of human workers eventually moving in, she'll be able to grow enough food to pay back the loan and then some.
I think the reason why Enri could summon the army was because she actually FRIENDED the goblis, almost like you earn reputation in WoW she earned max reputation with her Goblins and thus unlocked this new bigger, better, badder, smellier Goblin army. :)
Maybe a part of it was keeping the first batch alive for so long. Generally they were probably used in game as temporary spear catchers or joke monsters quickly killed off because they are noobie levels, but if you summon the first batch, keep them alive long enough, it unlocks the next level of the horn because you showed you can command goblins and keep them alive. I want field marshall enri to show up eventually with a 15k strong goblin army that starts at level 50. :p
PetarBlade Štrok what about the Dragon Council (several lvl 100 meaning on max lvl), Beastmen Horde‘s Leader has a lvl 100 (so one player possibly?) and the Elven Army is stated to be able to invade all human countries, needing the Dragons to stop them (The Elven King is hinted at lvl 100 and his rape child might be powerful and working for the Slane theocracy but his Army seems to be implied to be able to just roll over human armies (which makes sense if the Elven King is also a player and had the time to lvl up and equip his armies over centuries even without npcs like Ains has). It seems to me Slane Theocracy has the Black Scripture and thats it, but 4 of them got rekt and 2 killed by Shalltear alone, without the World level item she would have rekt them easy, leaving Zetsumei as their one Trump Card, but the other Armies I mentioned are all implied to be (some even several) times stronger. I mean logically speaking in a world where you can gain strength by lvling up, longer lived races like Elves and Dragons will be eventually god like (max) even without inherent racial superiority. One of the reasons Zetsumei is so strong would be (I guess) because she is long lived (she‘s older than the council giving her orders) apart from possibly being the child of a Player (and max lvl) and a New Worlder.
Richard Lloyd where are you getting this information? Not even the dragon lords are even near level 100 and those are the strongest beings on the continent. The oh and the elven kingdom is getting rekt by the slane theocracy and they only got the shitty black scripture. I highly doubt that the elves have a level 100. The king himself is only around 70-80
- Rxpe - no they cant rival nazarick, no army has several lvl 100s other than ainz. Level 100 is completely unheard of in the new world and the whole point is that nazarick has the only lvl 100s so its super easy for him to beat the rest of the continent into submission.

Did you notice, that the Goblin Strategist is modelled after Zhuge Liang the greatest strategist in chinese history from the era of the three kingdoms. Thinking that this strategist's skills might also be modelled after him could mean that he's a ridiculously good strategist. About Enri, is it possible that she has a commanding voice similar to Demiurge? She unconciously used it in the beginning of the season to compel her goblins to duck and dodge an attack. Also a fun fact: The voice actor of Beta also voices Miyako, the club advisor in Hanebado. The woman who got the team their coach.
Demiurge's skill "Command Mantra" lets him command lifeforms below lv 40 and it's a skill. Enri's on the other hand only works on her goblins because she summoned them herself

Each part compensates for the shortcomings of the others, however if one part fails like let's say the Divine casters are killed there's no spare casters to take up the healing of not only the army but any of the casters that survive as well and that's just initial damage. From there it'd cause a chain reaction of failure amongst their ranks and worse if they can retreat and recover it could lead to disertion or worse rebellion.
Strong enemies : we have finally cornered Ains Oal Goan into his fortress and slain every soldier under his command including floor guardians, he has currently locked himself into the treasury but it's under teleport lockdown and it's only a matter of time until he either surrenders or we manage to break that door, either way there's nothing he can do, we can hear him crying and mumbling something inside his treasury, he must know the end is near. Ains : ....I wonder how much it would cost me to summon a world boss from yggdrasyl.....Maybe i'll just make do with a raid boss?...maybe 2-3 maximum.... NO NO momon you can't be stingy now there are ways to get money back come on you can do this, let's summon a world boss, you can use him to plunder places!!!!.....But still it's very expensive... If I have to speculate in the requirement needed to summon a most powerful army of goblin based on the anime, yes I would agree that it might be her Command skill, but I also think it might be that she also rose her 'Reputation' with the faction 'Goblins' by befriending the other goblins.
Yes i also think the Goblin's horn work in a Faction based system, or she could have unlocked a rare job when commanding her first goblin squad, the Goblin General or something like that.

You don't come to Overlord for good CGI (which is doesn't have) or even sporadic moments of sakuga (which it does have). You come to it for great characters and writing.
Hey I agree the CGI was complete trash.....BUT.....if it keeps cost down enough to where we can get the entire light novel series, I will grin and bear it happily. I am here for the Characters and story. I dread the day that this series comes to an end
While we all love to see the entire series, some of us have the mentality of: "if is going to done, it better be done right because there won't be a second chance." in this case, this episode quality is disgraceful.
I don't really get it, I think goblins were made alright, could be in higher resolution, less blurry but as far as animation and general look they were fine. They are goblins after all, don't have to differ in look as much as humans do. I still think that in this season the worst cgi award goes to emperor's carriage driver, he just looked so stiff and unnatural.

well i'm not on a "hate cgi" side, i think overlord uses cgi in an amazing way, only for characters that don't really have any personality or importance to the show. To be honest you, beneveza are in the side i don't understand at all, you're not on "hate cgi" side neither on "i'm fine cuz it's not THAT bad/cuz it cuts costs", you are trying to tell me that this adds character as a game theme? Are you serious? We are not talking about old warcraft times; Yggdrasil was supposed to be full VR game, something from the future and this kind of game would have absolutely astonishing graphics making you feel like you're in the fantasy world, not in the game. Your point saying it adds character does not make any kind of sense.
I usually don't mind it, but the goblin models were so bad lol. I mean really really bad. The difference between 2D goblins and their 3D version is so night and day, it just does NOT blend in together at all. I usually to mind the CGI, but in this episode, it was very noticeable because of how bad the goblin models looked. (Also the animation in some moments looked really amateurish to down right terrible). I hope we won't have CGI of this quality in the next episode because this one felt really Off from me.
It's hard to draw or even animate large crowds. That's why most manga or anime (especially in older ones) just had "blobs" in the background. I think people might be too critical about something that was very hard for the studio to animate on their budget. Though honestly the CGI didn't bother me in the least. I thought it was well done, all things considered.
Jarkoer Can't really agree. Honestly CGI does not bother me when we have large shots of armies or even single shots of some creatures like skeletons or ogres. So most of the time, the CGI in Overlord does not bother me at all. But my biggest issue with the episode is how much they use CGI in close-up shots. Clearly those CGI models are not detailed enough for such close shots. They are meant for large battle scenes. The Armored gobs were ok. But the moment you see their faces... It's just too noticeable.
Goblin Redcaps are level 45. In comparison, Death Knights are Lv 35, Soul Eaters are Lv 40, Entoma is Lv 50. So yeah, those "13 Redcaps" are only outclassed by legendary heroes (Fluder, Evil Eye, etc) in the new world.
Yeh but i think Death Knight's Defense is Level 45 but the Readcaps' are way better Attackers I guess but then again since Ainz can basically shit out Death Knights at will it'd be interesting to see how he reacts when he sees the Readcaps in action

You're wrong. Enri's army is the strongest when considering Human armies. The actual tier of armies goes like this: 1. Nazarick 2. Dragon Council (The only army besides Nazarick, that has several Level 100 characters. If all the Dragon Lords gather though. It could equal Nazarick in power. Since all Dragon Lords are Level 100. But currently only 2 Dragon Lords are leading the council, the others are roaming the world.) 3. Great Beastmen Horde (Their leader is Level 100 but has yet to appear, but Ainz and Co. are destroying their subordinates and subjects. And Demiurge is very interested in making the Great Beastmen Horde join the forces of Nazarick.) 4. Elven Army (although it could be higher, since it has been stated that if they decided to invade the human realms, the only ones that could stop them are the Dragon Lords. Their King is Level 100, it is hinted it could be a player. Since he gave the Slaine Theocracy a Rubix Cube.) 5. The Demonic Army. (This is the personal army of Demiurge, that he leads under the name of Jaldabaoth. Goes to show you how powerful Nazarick is, that a secondary army enters the top 5.) 6. Dragon Kingdom's Army 7. Black Scripture. 8. Enri's army. So Enri's army enters the top 10. But by no means it is top 3.
It stated in the LN, that Enri's army is part of the top 3 armies in the content, I think the oder armies you mentioned are not in the continent Ainz is.

I wonder if now that Enri is a General of a powerful Goblin Army if Ainz will include her and her forces in any future conquests. Like will he invest in her ability to command and actually make her one of his Generals? Like how Ainz tried to level up his warrior stats in the fight against Foresight, he would have her train further in the Commander Skill.

@@denesmiltenyi9508 Exactly. Ainz doesn't need to worry about the village anymore after this, but it's not in Enri's mind to invade another country/city. She just hate war, after all she had gone through, and she's only fighting back. But Carne village is right now one of the strongest power in the whole world, by some luck and commandment training. If it is actually the commandment stat which enable this, considering Enri's facts, she mostly got her increase by commanding day after day, not necessarily through lot's of battle. She will progress even further, considering she has now like 100 times more people to command.
Thought about Enri are simple, she a survivor who tries to maintain a strong front of an inspirational leader for both the villagers and her younger sister after surviving the aftermath due to Aniz intervention from the first season. Now as it reaches the third season the first group of Goblins summoned is doing what they can to make sure she stays in charge, win's the man she loves while keeping her safe of all threats. Now after blowing that Horn not only does she get a new group of Goblins to lead her very own Demiurge in the form of that Goblin strategist as well. After watching this twice Chibi Its official, Enri Emmott and her little sister Nemu are now members of Nazarick as the Daughters of the Bone Daddy. Oh and on a different note... The First prince got what was coming due to his strategic ideas for Carnes Vilage.
I honestly didn't expect much from enri. I mean when ainz saved her I was like "cool he saved a girl from from getting killed in front of her little sister " but that was it I didn't expect this much from her but it's pretty cool unexpected but cool.

These are my thoughts on the three requirements for the goblin army. Title, blessing, and tamerskil. When Enri accepted the title of village chief, she also got the title of war chief since she already had a small goblin army under her. War chief in goblin culture is second only to goblin king, so that gave her the title to be able to handle a much larger army. Blessing of the god of creation is second as the god favors those who accept all life as precious regardless of form, which Enri already does by treating the goblins under her command as normal people, and takes the time to talk with and understand each one. Finally the tamer skill, which she might have as a hidden talent, alows Enri to make a quick bond with "feral" monsters. This is how she was able to make a contract with wild goblins who where not summoned by the horn, as well as the wild ogres and potentially trolls later on. Again this is just my theory on it with my understanding of D&D campaigns, which overlord is based on.

I thought that she would summon some more goblins to get slaughtered and then lupusregina would barbecue the rest of the forces when they engaged the alchemist.
I was pretty sure she was going to summon a bigger stronger goblin army than the original one but I didn't expect that big of an army. As they kept introducing more squads I was like "WTF there's more?". Feel kinda sorry for Enri, she's being thrust into a very different life with this move but at least she's actually alive. Hopefully she'll manage to put everything in somewhat of a functioning order soon enough.

Well he gave those horns, provided the defensive wall, provided food and wellfare for the village, made the Alchemists move to the village Provided the sword and many more. It's a domino effect part of the 10,000 year plan of Ainz.

red caps are strong enough to give CZ2128 Delta a hard time. Since she is the weakest of the Battle Maids. Of course, to make up for her low level, she holds the highest number of 9th Tier items. So she would still end up winning. But just a small glimpse of how strong the Red Caps are.

I really feel like the cgi hurt the impact badly for the show, atleast in this episode in specific. In the light novel, they describe the goblin warriors as looking so impressive and well polished/equipt that they were putting the elites of another country to shame. Enri in the LN was absolutely terrified of the Red Caps since they always seemed to be almost predatory in their expressions. Other than that, my only other complaint is that their numbers feel like they are off in by a factor of 10. 5000 people is a lot of people and it just felt like 500 people there in the fight. The impressiveness of the goblins holding their own in the fight until the reinforcements shows up just lost its luster. The soldiers were in awe of their ability to fight on and cut through their ranks, even at such an overwhelming disadvantage. For anyone looking to see what this should have felt like, I'd highly recommend reading the novels to get that full punch of epic.
When i first looked at overlord i dropped it because i thought it was just another isekai and first dropped it, but then i went back to it, i loved it so much and now i think back how the hell did i drop it?
Gotta blame other bad isekais for ruining the genre, usually low budget 13 episode animes that dont do anything for the industry except ruin the light novels its adapted from.
youjo senki has one of the best manga styles ive seen, even better then one punch man (not ones) , and amazing story , even as good as berzerk manga or comparable in quality not art
Also, for anybody who is not 3 kingdom or Dynasty Warrios fan, the strategist goblin was basically based on real life Chinese strategist Zhuge Liang, The Prime minister of the Shu kingdong, military strategy. He's one of the best strategists in China at this time (together with Pang Tong, Fa Zheng, Xu Shu, and Guo Jia.) Liu Bei (Emperor of Shu) had to visit his cottage like 3 time to get him to work for him. If the goblin strategist shared the same talent as Zhuge Liang, maybe even the Carne Village technology could also improve as well aside from military strength. He could teach Enri how to govern and military strategies as well.
there is one problem with this train of thought. Her relationship with the "new" summoned goblins is very much like Ainz's relationship with the guardians, no matter what or how small a act, it was all according to plan. The goblin strategist will be unable to see fault in anything she does, and thus be unable to teach her anything. Before you say what if she asks him to teach her, He will most likely refuses saying "How could I possibly teach the honorable General." Mind you the old goblins did not place her in that high regard, they muddled in her romantic relationships as a example. but most and maybe all of her interactions moving forward, will be with the redcaps and strategist/leaders of the platoons/corps not the old summons because they are relieved of guarding by the redcaps, and placed in the main army or moved into a separate platoon/squadron.

However from what i read, the Goblin General Horn has a low chance to summon it's true potential and if i remember correctly only a few Yggdrasil players ever managed to get lucky enough. The theorycrafting is that the chances are raised based on players stats or affinity with goblins. Oh yeah i forgot to mention that when the guards at the gate appraised the Horn when Enri visited E-Rantal; in the novel the magic caster fell back in fear of what he saw in the horn which Enri did not understand why. The light novel goes into quite a lot of detail describing how powerful the horn really is.
In the LN it stated that it has 3 conditions to summon an army but it did not reveal what those 3 conditions were. And lemme correct you, the LN didnt state that the players uncover the low chances to summon an army through that horn, they just refered to it as a minor expendable item and pretty useless by Yggdrasil's standards.
I got a little theory of my own, the item is called "Horn of the Goblin General" The 3 conditions I believe what Enri has established among the 1st batch of Goblins 1. Trust 2. Respect 3. Honor As the current goblins view her as the Chief/General, she fulfilled the "General" title of the Horn while summoning with the 2nd horn. Also, I may have read wrongly but it did state people of Yggdrasil normally used the items as a sacrifice in getting away or making them fight to their deaths.
It did say how enri was able to summon those goblin, she was a true goblin general. Which is why she could use it to its fullest. I think it was in the wn

For the goblin horn it probably required previous use of the item and keeping the goblins alive for a certain amount of time and having the command skill. You probably got a bigger army the longer you kept them alive and the more quests you went on and were victorious in or perhaps the more exp the first goblin army or maybe just the captain of said army got. That;s how i would have designed that item if i were to put it into a game like that. It is a powerful effect and the requirements are extremely unlikely to be met in a game world setting where they are likely considered by most to be disposable and a commander job would not be taken by every single player.

Also I read too that Enri now being the Chief of the village played a role in her summoning the large army. In the Novel the Red Caps only killed the soldiers that where with him, Beta had the thrill for the hunt and let him run, so that she could transform and hunt him down. Hopefully we will see that all next episode. They better animate her transformation.

I love your video keep up the good work. Last night I had to re-watch the episode twice. Because it was so good. I also have a theory on items getting that world. If you play DND before and you know about Flavor text. Some flavor text usually have lower or spells on them that can't be implemented inside a game. In this instance the item description and the flavor text was one and the same. Since bone Daddy was giving it away because it was considered a trash item. He didn't expect the flavor text to come to life. Now phone Daddy also mentioned that when they use it only a few goblins came out. I think the prerequisites for the horn goes as follows. A person that uses the horn cannot be of a commanding level that is higher than General. I believe the second requirement was the user had to be of a leadership position. The last prerequisite is that the horn can only be used as a means of Defense. With prerequisites like these would pamper any high-level being from actually fully unlocking the horn. Meaning that even though it was an event item it was considered a world-class item in a sense to a low-level player or NPC. In a player versus player world this item with totally and only benefit a low-level player just started playing. We all know that the maid enjoys killing humans. I haven't read the light novel when I'm saying this but I believe that she killed the Prince in order to get more chances to kill more humans. All of this was done outside of Bone Daddy's orders. Does anyone agree?

Concerning S3E11, all I need to say is, it's never really covered in the light novel what Ainz is doing between the time he arrives at the front lines till the time he summons the Dark Young. I could totally see him being curious about what the kingdom is doing while his immediate attention is elsewhere and he decides to watch the village massacre.

nope, hidden conditions. one of them being you must have commander job level 2. Enri got this when she became village chief and leader of the first goblin brigade + trolls + forest goblins and the defeat of the troll a few episodes back. think of her as a character that sucks by itself but gives big buffs to part.
Ainz can summon unlimited death knights and any nocromanci troop upto lvl70. After lvl 70 he can summon one per day or can spend his exp to summon lvl 70,80,90 troops
Side note I'm former military when I retired I was a captain and my very last job was leading and march group of 120 men down down a 3 mile road for a kid who was very sick this was as the request of the make your wish foundation and it was this occasion that tought me that even the most simple formation is hell to keep orderly that being said that show's the training these goblins have and although yes it is a anime we are talking about US service men who train non-stop for this

Well many times in dnd certain characters might have traits or skills that give pluses to certain roles.
So basically she could have had a recent bonus like, “goblin general” or “chief” that gave her at least a +1 on summoning a goblin army.
So like her first set of goblins came from a 5-10 role the new one is her rolling a 20 but also have the plus to just make an op as fuck army.
She rolled a 20, then the dm didn't like it so forced a re roll, and another 20, the dm said, no go, and forced yet another roll... Guess what, another 20... Dm said "fuck it, you get a super goblin army. FML"

My thoughts on Enri's special army summon. The 3 requirements she met were 1. Her leadership attribute was very high. She was acknowledged as a leader by her village, the goblins and the ogres that were far stronger than her. 2. She maxed out the loyalty of her 1st goblin force. She bought gear for them and saw to all their needs. As a result, they would gladly give up their lives to protect her without hesitation. 3. She summoned the 2nd goblin army with the intent of helping her first goblin army. This factor is the most important. The desire to keep her 1st army safe triggered the horn to send it's best possible army because she didn't see the goblins as fodder, but as friends.

Compared to players in the game her leadership levels are pretty low and in the game you couldn't interact with them like you can in the new world. So for those reasons I'd say your first and second requirements are off
@Monty Python I don't see how you could reach such a flawed conclusion. Aside from a guild leader, the average player would have 0 in their leadership attribute. No npc's or monsters would acknowledge them as a leader unless there was a quest or a tamer class, and even that might be temporary. In terms of usage, yes you probably couldn't give them gear but you could make sure their group wasn't wiped out when they were summoned. It's a safe assumption that the old requirement was to keep original goblin army alive for X amount of time without losing any units. Casting healing spells or using healing items would have raised their "trust" stat to the needed levels but they were just goblins so nobody was going to use resources for them.
@Moebius JDX for the leadership thing I say that because in the character sheets the only levels she has are 1 farmer, 1 sargent, 2 commander, 2 general. and from looking at other characters sheets the common classes seem to max out at 15 the mid tier classes seem to max out at 10 and the high tier ones seem to max out at 5 so even if general was a high tier class she has less than half the total levels for it. And I could be wrong but it seems like you need to max out lower tiered classes before getting the better ones. And I say seems because it looks that way on most of them but its not specifically stated I don't think

the 3 conditions for summoning goblin army:
Level of threat: The more danger the user is in, the larger army it would summon
Level of command: The more capable the user is, more diverse army.
Level of loyalty: If the previous army is still alive upon the time of usage, the army would hold more capable inviduals (redcap and strategist)
5000 enemies, 5000 goblins.
As the previous army was still alive and completely loyal, they got more capable inviduals with the redcap and strategist.
and diverse army requires greater understanding of art of war, which Enri herself does not have in certainty, but as she has others helping her (Commander goblin, adventurer, alchemist and so on), she practically is leader with commanding capability far beyond normal leader.
This is my own take on this.

i believe the horn hold some contradiction in iggdrasil system.
Your "level of loyalty" could also be seen as "relationship with the goblin faction" where a relationship above neutral would prompt more goblins to answer the call, but to obtain the horn you have to loot it on goblin therefore reducing your relationship with them below neutral.
Enri didnt got that problem since she didnt needed to kill goblins to obtain the horn but in addition to that she kept good relation with goblins even calling them by name.
Enri first horn probably had the effect of a "neutral" relationship and spawned a small amount of average goblins like in Iggdrasil but the second horn was more potent due to Enri having improved the relationship to a higher level.
we know that there is atleast 3 conditions to be met from the novel, which is where I based these 3 conditions. Loyalty with trough faction system is sensible option via game system, but that is not exactly something we can measure by overlord standards, which made me divide it into this order.
No one in game of yggdrasil would even consider summoning 20 or so level 5-10 gobs after reaching areas where enemies are above level 20, so level of threat becomes viable option here for one condition, as in game world great numbers is rarer than in world of overlord.
the level of command is something that would normally in game be tied to specific job, but in overlord world it can be measured in multiple ways without that specific job being necessary, and commanders vassals are something that counts towards ones ability to lead in more "lenient" system of overlord

Founding a human militia from the surviving townsfolk and using the skills the goblins brought to train them, was essentially Enri's decision. But it means between having the goblins work during down time and having a fresh supply of human workers eventually moving in, she'll be able to grow enough food to pay back the loan and then some.

I think the reason why Enri could summon the army was because she actually FRIENDED the goblis, almost like you earn reputation in WoW she earned max reputation with her Goblins and thus unlocked this new bigger, better, badder, smellier Goblin army. :)

Maybe a part of it was keeping the first batch alive for so long. Generally they were probably used in game as temporary spear catchers or joke monsters quickly killed off because they are noobie levels, but if you summon the first batch, keep them alive long enough, it unlocks the next level of the horn because you showed you can command goblins and keep them alive. I want field marshall enri to show up eventually with a 15k strong goblin army that starts at level 50. :p

PetarBlade Štrok what about the Dragon Council (several lvl 100 meaning on max lvl), Beastmen Horde‘s Leader has a lvl 100 (so one player possibly?) and the Elven Army is stated to be able to invade all human countries, needing the Dragons to stop them (The Elven King is hinted at lvl 100 and his rape child might be powerful and working for the Slane theocracy but his Army seems to be implied to be able to just roll over human armies (which makes sense if the Elven King is also a player and had the time to lvl up and equip his armies over centuries even without npcs like Ains has). It seems to me Slane Theocracy has the Black Scripture and thats it, but 4 of them got rekt and 2 killed by Shalltear alone, without the World level item she would have rekt them easy, leaving Zetsumei as their one Trump Card, but the other Armies I mentioned are all implied to be (some even several) times stronger. I mean logically speaking in a world where you can gain strength by lvling up, longer lived races like Elves and Dragons will be eventually god like (max) even without inherent racial superiority. One of the reasons Zetsumei is so strong would be (I guess) because she is long lived (she‘s older than the council giving her orders) apart from possibly being the child of a Player (and max lvl) and a New Worlder.

Did you notice, that the Goblin Strategist is modelled after Zhuge Liang the greatest strategist in chinese history from the era of the three kingdoms. Thinking that this strategist's skills might also be modelled after him could mean that he's a ridiculously good strategist.
About Enri, is it possible that she has a commanding voice similar to Demiurge? She unconciously used it in the beginning of the season to compel her goblins to duck and dodge an attack.
Also a fun fact: The voice actor of Beta also voices Miyako, the club advisor in Hanebado. The woman who got the team their coach.
Demiurge's skill "Command Mantra" lets him command lifeforms below lv 40 and it's a skill. Enri's on the other hand only works on her goblins because she summoned them herself

Each part compensates for the shortcomings of the others, however if one part fails like let's say the Divine casters are killed there's no spare casters to take up the healing of not only the army but any of the casters that survive as well and that's just initial damage. From there it'd cause a chain reaction of failure amongst their ranks and worse if they can retreat and recover it could lead to disertion or worse rebellion.

Strong enemies : we have finally cornered Ains Oal Goan into his fortress and slain every soldier under his command including floor guardians, he has currently locked himself into the treasury but it's under teleport lockdown and it's only a matter of time until he either surrenders or we manage to break that door, either way there's nothing he can do, we can hear him crying and mumbling something inside his treasury, he must know the end is near.

If I have to speculate in the requirement needed to summon a most powerful army of goblin based on the anime, yes I would agree that it might be her Command skill, but I also think it might be that she also rose her 'Reputation' with the faction 'Goblins' by befriending the other goblins.

I don't really get it, I think goblins were made alright, could be in higher resolution, less blurry but as far as animation and general look they were fine. They are goblins after all, don't have to differ in look as much as humans do. I still think that in this season the worst cgi award goes to emperor's carriage driver, he just looked so stiff and unnatural.

like its supposedly a game world wich kinda fits the theme of the odd cgi but its fine honestly,
well i'm not on a "hate cgi" side, i think overlord uses cgi in an amazing way, only for characters that don't really have any personality or importance to the show. To be honest you, beneveza are in the side i don't understand at all, you're not on "hate cgi" side neither on "i'm fine cuz it's not THAT bad/cuz it cuts costs", you are trying to tell me that this adds character as a game theme? Are you serious? We are not talking about old warcraft times; Yggdrasil was supposed to be full VR game, something from the future and this kind of game would have absolutely astonishing graphics making you feel like you're in the fantasy world, not in the game. Your point saying it adds character does not make any kind of sense.
Here's my theory on how Enri summoned them.

Req 2: Command Skill
Req 3: Must be at War
the cgi doesn't bother me. it doesn't even cross my mind when im watching. maybe its just me
the cg only bothered me when the bombardment goblins showed up. They looked pretty artificial compared to their organic surroundings.
I usually don't mind it, but the goblin models were so bad lol. I mean really really bad. The difference between 2D goblins and their 3D version is so night and day, it just does NOT blend in together at all.
I usually to mind the CGI, but in this episode, it was very noticeable because of how bad the goblin models looked. (Also the animation in some moments looked really amateurish to down right terrible).
I hope we won't have CGI of this quality in the next episode because this one felt really Off from me.

It's hard to draw or even animate large crowds. That's why most manga or anime (especially in older ones) just had "blobs" in the background. I think people might be too critical about something that was very hard for the studio to animate on their budget. Though honestly the CGI didn't bother me in the least. I thought it was well done, all things considered.
Jarkoer Can't really agree. Honestly CGI does not bother me when we have large shots of armies or even single shots of some creatures like skeletons or ogres. So most of the time, the CGI in Overlord does not bother me at all.
But my biggest issue with the episode is how much they use CGI in close-up shots. Clearly those CGI models are not detailed enough for such close shots. They are meant for large battle scenes. The Armored gobs were ok. But the moment you see their faces... It's just too noticeable.
I like the idea of enri being considered as bone daddy's daughter.

Goblin Redcaps are level 45. In comparison, Death Knights are Lv 35, Soul Eaters are Lv 40, Entoma is Lv 50. So yeah, those "13 Redcaps" are only outclassed by legendary heroes (Fluder, Evil Eye, etc) in the new world.
Yeh but i think Death Knight's Defense is Level 45 but the Readcaps' are way better Attackers I guess but then again since Ainz can basically shit out Death Knights at will it'd be interesting to see how he reacts when he sees the Readcaps in action

You're wrong. Enri's army is the strongest when considering Human armies.
The actual tier of armies goes like this:
1. Nazarick
2. Dragon Council (The only army besides Nazarick, that has several Level 100 characters. If all the Dragon Lords gather though. It could equal Nazarick in power. Since all Dragon Lords are Level 100. But currently only 2 Dragon Lords are leading the council, the others are roaming the world.)
3. Great Beastmen Horde (Their leader is Level 100 but has yet to appear, but Ainz and Co. are destroying their subordinates and subjects. And Demiurge is very interested in making the Great Beastmen Horde join the forces of Nazarick.)
4. Elven Army (although it could be higher, since it has been stated that if they decided to invade the human realms, the only ones that could stop them are the Dragon Lords. Their King is Level 100, it is hinted it could be a player. Since he gave the Slaine Theocracy a Rubix Cube.)
5. The Demonic Army. (This is the personal army of Demiurge, that he leads under the name of Jaldabaoth. Goes to show you how powerful Nazarick is, that a secondary army enters the top 5.)
6. Dragon Kingdom's Army
7. Black Scripture.
8. Enri's army.
So Enri's army enters the top 10. But by no means it is top 3.

She just hate war, after all she had gone through, and she's only fighting back. But Carne village is right now one of the strongest power in the whole world, by some luck and commandment training.
If it is actually the commandment stat which enable this, considering Enri's facts, she mostly got her increase by commanding day after day, not necessarily through lot's of battle. She will progress even further, considering she has now like 100 times more people to command.

Thought about Enri are simple, she a survivor who tries to maintain a strong front of an inspirational leader for both the villagers and her younger sister after surviving the aftermath due to Aniz intervention from the first season. Now as it reaches the third season the first group of Goblins summoned is doing what they can to make sure she stays in charge, win's the man she loves while keeping her safe of all threats.
Now after blowing that Horn not only does she get a new group of Goblins to lead her very own Demiurge in the form of that Goblin strategist as well.
After watching this twice Chibi Its official, Enri Emmott and her little sister Nemu are now members of Nazarick as the Daughters of the Bone Daddy.
Oh and on a different note... The First prince got what was coming due to his strategic ideas for Carnes Vilage.

These are my thoughts on the three requirements for the goblin army. Title, blessing, and tamerskil.
When Enri accepted the title of village chief, she also got the title of war chief since she already had a small goblin army under her. War chief in goblin culture is second only to goblin king, so that gave her the title to be able to handle a much larger army.
Blessing of the god of creation is second as the god favors those who accept all life as precious regardless of form, which Enri already does by treating the goblins under her command as normal people, and takes the time to talk with and understand each one.
Finally the tamer skill, which she might have as a hidden talent, alows Enri to make a quick bond with "feral" monsters. This is how she was able to make a contract with wild goblins who where not summoned by the horn, as well as the wild ogres and potentially trolls later on.
Again this is just my theory on it with my understanding of D&D campaigns, which overlord is based on.

I was pretty sure she was going to summon a bigger stronger goblin army than the original one but I didn't expect that big of an army.
As they kept introducing more squads I was like "WTF there's more?".
Feel kinda sorry for Enri, she's being thrust into a very different life with this move but at least she's actually alive. Hopefully she'll manage to put everything in somewhat of a functioning order soon enough.

I really feel like the cgi hurt the impact badly for the show, atleast in this episode in specific. In the light novel, they describe the goblin warriors as looking so impressive and well polished/equipt that they were putting the elites of another country to shame. Enri in the LN was absolutely terrified of the Red Caps since they always seemed to be almost predatory in their expressions. Other than that, my only other complaint is that their numbers feel like they are off in by a factor of 10. 5000 people is a lot of people and it just felt like 500 people there in the fight. The impressiveness of the goblins holding their own in the fight until the reinforcements shows up just lost its luster. The soldiers were in awe of their ability to fight on and cut through their ranks, even at such an overwhelming disadvantage. For anyone looking to see what this should have felt like, I'd highly recommend reading the novels to get that full punch of epic.

Also, for anybody who is not 3 kingdom or Dynasty Warrios fan, the strategist goblin was basically based on real life Chinese strategist Zhuge Liang, The Prime minister of the Shu kingdong, military strategy. He's one of the best strategists in China at this time (together with Pang Tong, Fa Zheng, Xu Shu, and Guo Jia.) Liu Bei (Emperor of Shu) had to visit his cottage like 3 time to get him to work for him. If the goblin strategist shared the same talent as Zhuge Liang, maybe even the Carne Village technology could also improve as well aside from military strength. He could teach Enri how to govern and military strategies as well.
there is one problem with this train of thought. Her relationship with the "new" summoned goblins is very much like Ainz's relationship with the guardians, no matter what or how small a act, it was all according to plan. The goblin strategist will be unable to see fault in anything she does, and thus be unable to teach her anything. Before you say what if she asks him to teach her, He will most likely refuses saying "How could I possibly teach the honorable General." Mind you the old goblins did not place her in that high regard, they muddled in her romantic relationships as a example. but most and maybe all of her interactions moving forward, will be with the redcaps and strategist/leaders of the platoons/corps not the old summons because they are relieved of guarding by the redcaps, and placed in the main army or moved into a separate platoon/squadron.

At 6:38 you said that in the light novel it didn't explain how the goblin army was summoned. However from what i read, the Goblin General Horn has a low chance to summon it's true potential and if i remember correctly only a few Yggdrasil players ever managed to get lucky enough. The theorycrafting is that the chances are raised based on players stats or affinity with goblins.
Oh yeah i forgot to mention that when the guards at the gate appraised the Horn when Enri visited E-Rantal; in the novel the magic caster fell back in fear of what he saw in the horn which Enri did not understand why. The light novel goes into quite a lot of detail describing how powerful the horn really is.
In the LN it stated that it has 3 conditions to summon an army but it did not reveal what those 3 conditions were. And lemme correct you, the LN didnt state that the players uncover the low chances to summon an army through that horn, they just refered to it as a minor expendable item and pretty useless by Yggdrasil's standards.

The 3 conditions I believe what Enri has established among the 1st batch of Goblins

As the current goblins view her as the Chief/General, she fulfilled the "General" title of the Horn while summoning with the 2nd horn.
Also, I may have read wrongly but it did state people of Yggdrasil normally used the items as a sacrifice in getting away or making them fight to their deaths.

For the goblin horn it probably required previous use of the item and keeping the goblins alive for a certain amount of time and having the command skill. You probably got a bigger army the longer you kept them alive and the more quests you went on and were victorious in or perhaps the more exp the first goblin army
or maybe just the captain of said army got. That;s how i would have designed that item if i were to put it into a game like that. It is a powerful effect and the requirements are extremely unlikely to be met in a game world setting where they are likely considered by most to be disposable and a commander job would not be taken by every single player.

Wow so surprised they didn't show her transformation at the end. Hopefully we will see it next episode. Also I read too that Enri now being the Chief of the village played a role in her summoning the large army. In the Novel the Red Caps only killed the soldiers that where with him, Beta had the thrill for the hunt and let him run, so that she could transform and hunt him down. Hopefully we will see that all next episode. They better animate her transformation.

I love your video keep up the good work. Last night I had to re-watch the episode twice. Because it was so good. I also have a theory on items getting that world. If you play DND before and you know about Flavor text. Some flavor text usually have lower or spells on them that can't be implemented inside a game. In this instance the item description and the flavor text was one and the same. Since bone Daddy was giving it away because it was considered a trash item. He didn't expect the flavor text to come to life. Now phone Daddy also mentioned that when they use it only a few goblins came out. I think the prerequisites for the horn goes as follows. A person that uses the horn cannot be of a commanding level that is higher than General. I believe the second requirement was the user had to be of a leadership position. The last prerequisite is that the horn can only be used as a means of Defense. With prerequisites like these would pamper any high-level being from actually fully unlocking the horn. Meaning that even though it was an event item it was considered a world-class item in a sense to a low-level player or NPC. In a player versus player world this item with totally and only benefit a low-level player just started playing. We all know that the maid enjoys killing humans. I haven't read the light novel when I'm saying this but I believe that she killed the Prince in order to get more chances to kill more humans. All of this was done outside of Bone Daddy's orders. Does anyone agree?

Concerning S3E11, all I need to say is, it's never really covered in the light novel what Ainz is doing between the time he arrives at the front lines till the time he summons the Dark Young. I could totally see him being curious about what the kingdom is doing while his immediate attention is elsewhere and he decides to watch the village massacre.

Two things that I felt disappointed by. When Enri blew the second horn I was expecting something like a fog horn, loud and proud to signal something huge is on it's way. I also really wanted to see anime Lupusregina in werewolf form.

Or maybe the two horns that Ainz gave to Enri has different rarity tiers, the other horn is ( Uncommon or Common Horn of Goblin) since Ainz said is a trash item. The second horn maybe ( Legenday, Mythical and Epic Quality Horn of Goblin "General:) since the goblin is so large of 5,000 units. Well it's just my opinion since I play MMORPG for very long time and experince.
Ainz has detect, a skill that shows item info, so he would know the item rarity and stats but not secret/hidden effects an item does
All horn of goblin general got the "artifact" quality, which means they got unique effects that are always the same (with hidden conditions)
nope, hidden conditions. one of them being you must have commander job level 2. Enri got this when she became village chief and leader of the first goblin brigade + trolls + forest goblins and the defeat of the troll a few episodes back.
think of her as a character that sucks by itself but gives big buffs to part.
Ainz can summon unlimited death knights and any nocromanci troop upto lvl70. After lvl 70 he can summon one per day or can spend his exp to summon lvl 70,80,90 troops
Side note I'm former military when I retired I was a captain and my very last job was leading and march group of 120 men down down a 3 mile road for a kid who was very sick this was as the request of the make your wish foundation and it was this occasion that tought me that even the most simple formation is hell to keep orderly that being said that show's the training these goblins have and although yes it is a anime we are talking about US service men who train non-stop for this
