Cherie, you absolutely nailed the review of Delta of Venus...it really is the most sophisticated fruity perfume I've smelled. Antoine Lie is amazing and great idea about doing a video based on perfumers. I've got a 1 ml dabber sample of Hibiscus Mahajad from Luckyscent from 2 years ago that I still use, it's soooo strong. 😄

I just added Anamcara to my collection and I’m so happy with it ! Very beautiful fragrance.

I would never have considered myself a fruity perfume person either, but I've surprised myself this year with some of my purchases. Cockatiel by Zooligist has been one of my favorite new additions and most worn fragrances of the fall. It's a dusted powdery raspberry and I adore it. A more tropical / summery option would be Chameleon which I also have and enjoy. I would say most of my fruit perfumes would be stone fruits like plum and peach and in more classic compositions. I just happen to be wearing Cartier La Panthere today, funny enough. I have Anamcara and really enjoy it, and i have a sample of Delta of Venus that I am waiting till summer to try again. I like it, but i really want to smell it in summer. Thanks for the video! 1,000,000 views is huge!

I love your earrings, lol; I think I have already commented on them. They really bring out your blue eyes. I always thought it interesting when fragrance channels say that a strong perfume in summer will choke you out, but I thought in the Middle East it was very hot, and they wear much stronger perfumes there. I figured it was either a cultural preference or the fact a stronger perfume would hold up better in heat and not burn off as fast? As for Delta of Venus, I have wanted to try that one for a while. Do you think it resembles Calyx at all, if you have ever worn that one? I have vintage and current formulas and don't want to have too similar of a perfume since my collection is large. oxJulia

Ahh that’s a very good point about wearing strong perfumes in the heat! I guess it comes down to whether you feel overwhelmed by certain scent profiles. I suppose a lot of us just prefer fresher and lighter notes in the heat which naturally burn off quickly and require re-application. But I say if you can handle the heavier notes in the heat, go for it! 🤩 I personally have been wearing Ambers as the weather has warmed up this year and I’m loving it!
I have not tried Calyx I’m afraid so I can’t tell you if they are similar 😬

I feel the same about fruity fragrances, it’s only last year I started to come around to them. I have Delta of Venus and I LOVE it, which surprised me because I’m not into green notes.

Interesting about the change in perception on the Olibere. 🤔 Haven't tried anything from them but I see that their Le Jardin line seems to get decent reviews. Incidentally, I'm not sure if it's the lighting, but your eyes are so radiant and lustrous in this vid Cherie that my heart almost stopped. 😳😍 My goodness. Great takes all around!

Oh wow thank you! I’m not sure either, must have been a good day! Haha
I wore the Olibere today actually and it smelled as it always had, spicy and floral with some subtle fruity sweetness. Someone said it has a noticeable clove note and I agree but it feels very soft and well balanced in here. I reckon it smelled odd because I had been smelling so many sweet fruity things beforehand. 😂

I like fruity perfumes on days my stomach does not feel 100%. Can't stand ambers or woods on those days weirdly. Barenia from Hermes is the last fruity one I tried and it's such a tangy one! Still making up my mind if I like or just drawn to it because it's such a weird, unusual scent.

My favorite mango is Fleur de Lait by Miu Miu. First summer it was just ok but the second summer I pulled it out, it had gotten so much better! I got so much more mango and coconut but in a delicate way. One of my favorite fruity perfume is Sunset Hour from Goldfield and Banks. ❤

Totally agree with your description of Eris DoV. I discovered that one this year as well and it was immediate love for me. Mango has been a tough one for me, i love the idea of it but most perfumes don't seem to get it right for me. That is until, Stephan Humbert Lucas' Mango Kiss...only issue with that one is performance for it's price...it lasts maybe 4hrs. I'm going to try Fragrance World's Tropical Kiss and see if that is the awesome dupe it rumored to be. I'm also curious about Miu Miu Fleur de Lait but thats hard to get in the US

Hi Cherie, if Paradis Lointains smells medicinal for you it's probably because of cloves. It's a very significant note. I have Des Clous Pour Une Pelure Serge Lutens and it smells sometimes medicinal to me.

Yes it’s interesting it’s never smelled that way to me in the years I’ve had it but again I think it was amped up because I had been smelling a bunch of sweet things and then suddenly it didn’t seem as sweet anymore

Hi Cherie ❤ I did not like fruity perfumes much but I must say in the past year things changed and some are really nice to me 😂 especially if it’s ripe or jam like 😅 I noticed what many call cat piss fruit I like😂

Hi Chérie! It was an instant strong dislike with Ajayeb and I sold my bottle right away! 😅😂 Juice is one I can’t make my mind on… Milk will always be my favorite from this brand.

This question has nothing to do with fruity fragrances:) Curious to know your thoughts on Papillon fragrances specifically Hera, and Bengale Rouge. They have recently come on my radar and I have ordered decants of both.

Bengals Rouge is still one of my favourite ambers! Hera is gorgeous but it’s hard to get in Australia.

When I had received Ajayeb Dubai I just smelled cypriol, something other bitter and fake sweetener. Gave it to my husband and I quite like it on him:-)
