Sure, of course. But the comparison I make has little to do with the name of the franchise or what monster is present, and more to do with the fact that they're both kaiju movies aiming to convey a more introspective, emotionally-fueled story. In this respect, it's not quite as successful or impactful as that Godzilla analog. Hence, "not exactly Minus One." Still a fun movie, regardless.
As a side note, Netflix does have Cobra Kai which I have rather enjoyed.

Come to think of it, they also have a relatively recent Gamera anime series, too.
