There's kind of a renaissance of sorts here in the american fire service currently where a lot of the younger guys are "getting back to the basics" of sorts and I would say a lot of it is making for better firefighters here, putting more focus on training and actually being good at our job. On the other hand some of the traditionalism of it all is a bit regressive as it tends to look down on progression and technology regardless of its merit/benefit. I'm curious about the o-bundel that y'all are using, is it like what we call the "Cleveland" load here? Basically a 100' (or metric equivalent for you) in a circular fashion bundled with the nozzle in the middle?
The fact that you play the Pixies almost completely makes up for the fact that you should not play music in the first place. Great video. Pixies rule. Don't play music.
So it's a flat load with extra steps. The only additional perk is you can bring the extra hose that's usually bundled up by the engine, closer to the door. But to me it just seems like more ways to fuck it up
Call it accordion forward and v-split with no mention of Fields and the Nozzle Forward cadre? At least you changed “coil prop” to just coil. Not a bad video, otherwise.
Always appreciate a good training video but lose the music or at least use something instrumental (no lyrics); it's distracting while trying to listen to the instructor. Thanks!

How complicated does pulling a hose line have to be? This is like the 14 minute video on how to deal with your helmet chin strap.
