Unfortunately, this channel has been demonetized by TH-cam for the third time and therefore the Game Movie Vault has been closed. It was fun for over 10 years but I can no longer afford to spend the time to make these videos without being reimbursed by TH-cam. Did not expect Richard Divizio to do double-duty as Shang Tsung at the ending. Was not able to recognize him until recently.
In the outtakes, you can see Quan Chi's actor sitting on his throne and repeating that same line in a mocking tone. I like to imagine it's canon that Quan Chi actually did that.

In my opinion, this is the most underrated story of the game. I want this story to be remade as a miniseries.

This while also showing a Scorpion story and then them being manipulated by Quan Chi to kill each other would be siiiick

Both the 2021 movie and MK1 are too obsessed with making Bi-Han a bad guy unfortunately, this old story has long been thrown away, they could’ve leveraged it with Noob in MK11 but they didn’t even bother.

I still never understood why so many people make fun of this quote. I mean scorpion is clearly implying that, unlike other beings in the nether realm, subzero's soul is still intact hence he can still die while the others are already dead and hence cannot be killed again.

Only in the sense of 'I LIVE here' he may have had ambitions beyond being a simple ninja (I do not care what he says, Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu are NINJA Clans, albeit of different nations) AND canonically he did kill Scorpion.
The evil in his soul may have been but small compared to most everyone else, but it was THERE. His death only ensured he fell to evil as Noob Saibot, in the new timeline he had never truly been tested as the one in THIS timeline, so his ambitions ran almost unchecked. No significant fuck up to humble him or anything like that.
Facts
It's a shame that controls and level design for this game are so awkward because artistically speaking it has so much personality that it hurts it's so underrated. These cutscenes are fucking amazing, They are sooo 90s, it's magic.
It makes sense tho like the controls how else are you going to fight pressing r2 to turn was good

It’s Rich Divizio, a true MK legend. He was Kano in MK 1 & 3, and Baraka in MK 2.

A shame to see Bi Hans character so disastrously misrepresented in MK1. Bi Han was always an efficient, pragmatic assassin loyal to the Lin Kuei. Now he's an anti hero edge lord who makes the most irrational decisions.

Yeah, me too. You can tell they wanted to expand the franchise not just story wise but in different types of gaming as well. I hope one day they will remake and give top notch graphics like in the new God of War series.

The line delivery and production value made it feel like a hardcore scene was just around the corner. Blocking was like a stage play. Sounds like an early TH-camr with a Full Sail education under their bell and access to mid equipment. It was both ahead and behind the times.
if they officially remade these with fully explicit, passionate hardcore scenes added in, i'll bankrupt myself buying mk1 dlc

It looks like a chinese B-movie from the 70's. The "Quan Chi" dude is the same one who's portrayed Kano in MK1 and Shang Tsung at the end of this video... Richard Divizio.
He probably portrayed every single random enemy you face in the game as well.

@@CoolGobyFish The MK1 comic says Bi Han resides somewhere in China. And says he's part of the Lin Kuei, a clan of Chinese ninja-type assassins. It was just the actor who portrayed him that was white.
In Kuai Liang's MK2 ending, it shows him unmasked and he's clearly an Asian man.
In Mythologies, it's explicitly stated their father is from China.
This game was the best. Shows how much experiences Bi-Han was. Beated both shinnok and quan chi.
I think this isn't Bi-Han. I think this is Kuai Liang (The Good Sub-Zero, who is now Scorpion in MK1)

Well written Sub-Zero, that was able to beat most of the Shaolin, four elementals, living and undead Scorpion, Quan Chi AND SHINNOK, some back to back, after it was made canon that he would be the first original MK character to die in the Tournament. As for character, it also confirms he knew of Quan Chi’s massacre but never said shit lol
I know he hated Scorpion anyway but like…this doesn’t make him well written, he’s just overpowered 😂
In fact this story doesn’t make any sense partially for those reasons.

It is, Sub Zero told him the first time he said it never to call him that, Quan Chi knew that it pissed Sub Zero off, but more than that he calls him a ninja even to Sareena with nobody else around so its clear he uses it for any Asian assassin, which is racism.

Two. Kano wasnt in Mk2 but Divizio played Baraka in that game. Also Kabal in Mk3
