One of the best driving analysis/kart behavior explanations on TH-cam. A valuable tool to take to track and apply to 1 turn, 1 section or your overall driving approach on 1 or repeated sessions. Excellent tool to help break apart and identify issues with; kart behavior, racing line and/or driving technique. Especially helpful for beginner to intermediate drivers who may not even know how to state their driving questions. This breakdown works great as a stand alone tool or in helping drivers understand their own coaches input. Thanks so much for putting this together and sharing it. It met my beginner/intermediate needs more than any I've seen on TH-cam. Excellent.

Extremely informative. My stepson and I are getting into karting, and are really trying to understand racecraft, racing lines, and how to handle consecutive corners.

I assume following the optimal racing line is better than driving under the rubber most times If you’re going against worse drivers

on my karting place there is a 3 consecutive flat out corners ( left right right) after the left its about 20m to the flat right but on the left of the track there it is very bumpy. after the first right there is about 40-50m of straight. how should i take this section? i currently am taking the first left later to tuck to the right side a little more for the first flat right then running a little wide on the exit of that and taking a normal apex on the next right as it leads to a straightaway

Really tough to say, would need to see what the track layout looks like, but in general you want to optimize the straight after a complex of corners when they are closely spaced like that. So sacrifice your line in the complex to get the best run possible at the end of the complex down the straight. Sounds like you have the right idea!
