    We do not smile artificially "keep smiling" with a smile glued to our lips. We smile naturally when we have a reason.
    We have a saying about laughing like an idiot into the cheese

      Surely, I didn’t mean that at all. I meant that you guys are friendly. :)
      like if you go to Belarus, you may feel that people are so stressed, not friendly, poker face, and if you ask first directions, for instance, a lot of them wouldn’t be nice and polite, unfortunately

    About English in Poland, for younger generation it’s second language, for older it’s not.
    In bigger cities you’ll easily communicate in English. But, if you want to live here longer than year, you’ll need to learn Polish at some point, for even small talk in vegetables store, or when you’ll need to buy tickets etc.

    You surprised me by saying that people in Belarus don't clean after their dogs. As I've seen also on YT, its capital Minsk has the reputation of a very clean city, am I wrong on this? About the weather - trust me, Poles aged above 40 can remember times when it was much colder here. Especially the last ten years (2014-2023) have been (in general terms) as warm as they've never been, at least in the last ca 300 years of weather observations here. Climate warming is going crazy in Poland. The most recent example - temperatures at 27-28 degrees Celsius in Warsaw (8-9 April this year, in the shade) until now were unthinkable this early in the season (historically they did occur a few times in late April). The most recent old-style blizzard occured here in... 2014. Many people are feeling that this country has somehow moved southwards! 😎

      Thanks for your comment! :)
      yes, its quite clean on the main streets, but in the neighbourhoods, honestly, not really. And its a big problem that people are not used to clean after dogs, its becoming more popular, but still, many ppl dont even think of it. Another problem is that ppl do leave trash on the streets (cigarets, chewing gums, empty bottles, etc). Unfortunately, its the way it is.
      Speaking of weather, we've only been here for almost 2 years and it means we were lucky to meet great weather :)

    In Wroclaw and Poznan older people speak rather German thn English. It used to be (after Russian) next foreign language. Now it changed and every pupil learn English as first one.

    I guess you don't speak belorusian ,because bielorusian is so similar to polish that you wouldn't have to learn longer than 6 months to speak fluently.
    Everybody at school learns English,so everybody understands but to speak you have to travel to foreign countries and practice a little bit. Education in Warsaw is the best in Poland,so probably this is the reason for people speaking better English than elsewhere.

    • @irinaabroadvlog
      @irinaabroadvlog  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are right :) We did live in Taiwan for more than 11 years, so I had a lot of English and Chinese practice there. I was learning Polish for 4 months, then I had a break and learnt it from the communication. Now i have plans to continue because I have some time for that finally:)
