I'm with you when I was catholic I questioned all the time I would read the new testament and I believed in Jesus but I felt something was off. Went to catholic high school and battled the teachers in religion class but I had no access to this...maybe I wasn't ready then as this knowledge has always been here but when I found it it truly felt like home❤
To better contextualize and understand this book, I would suggest to get familiar with the basics of Physics, Chemistry, Neurology *, Psychology, then read (or listen the audio book) of "The Kybalion", and only after that, this version of "The Hermetica". * 1. Function of Cerebellum and Brain stem in relationship to instinctual behavior, 2. Function of right hemisphere processing non quantifiable information (colors, textures, sound, scents, etc) and outputting the analysis as feelings. 3. Function of left hemisphere processing quantifiable information (meaning of words, math, other sciences, cause and effect, etc) and outputting the analysis as thoughts. 4. Function of the pre-frontal cortex, to suppress and/or regulate our instincts and feeling by balancing them out, against our thoughts in order to adapt them to our social norms.

Media labels him a liar who took from the popular dark fantasy author I forget his name and he never went to Egypt he said he astral planed the knowledge...you know I need to revisit this again as I found the info murky at best. There’s just one big fundamental flaw in this that keeps persisting. Again.. it’s written by interpretation.. and there is a bias. True knowledge comes from within. But this is someone else’s experience rewritten by others who did not have the original experience. There is fundamental truth in this, but also a flaw.
