Love it! Thanks for all of the great content. As someone who hunts the same general areas of NH and ME it's super relatable and helps to pass the offseason. Keep 'em coming!
As an avid white tail deer hunter from NW Missouri, and I've killed some really big bucks over the years, one time when I was in the Marines, my best buddy was from the North tip of Maine, a lumberjack to the tee. Anyways he got kilt and I had to take him home from Dover Air Force Base to his parents in Strong ME. I got along very well with his father and brother and after the funeral we hunted whitetails a week. Then his pops called my 1st Seargent and said I have to stay another week. He said OK, so I hunted that two weeks. The hunting was the men's tribute to the strongest man any of us ever knew who had fallen. He was the famed Deer Hunter in that family. Anways, I could not believe how thick those timbers and wood plots were up there. It was like this gigantic wooden tree jungle. Never saw anything like it ever.
Well done no food plots no bait and wait real deer hunting I have hunted this way for 30 years and have taken a lot of wall hangers but if you were hunting over bait you would have your own tv show congratulations
Wicked job on a beauty buck. Thanksgiving day last year in maine was a blast with the fresh snow. Did some dragging myself that day up in Hersey. Congrats!
people dont understand how extremely hard hunting in maine is until they have walked out in our woods. its soooo thick in sooooo many places. my area on the nh line is all mountainous. its exhausting just climbing out in the woods to start hunting. and to see a buck takes either years and years of practice or blind luck
