Rick is an absolute master at his craft! One heck of an achievement. Another beautiful day on the track with a perfect ending. Congrats on a great buck Rick! Looking forward to breaking the 200lb mark for the first time, one day soon!
Great buck Rick!!! Clearly one of the most successful deer hunters in the Northeast!!!! I don’t like these labels best deer hunter ever but for the way your hunting and where you live I would think it safe to say there’s nobody better. There’s a few equals but nobody better!!!!
How sweet it is to be able go track ‘em, with the Maine locals, and not get cold and wet feet, doing it. Haven’t hunted Maine in years, but these videos, sure put fire under my azz. Thanks for getting my pulse an awakening. Amazing video quality
You hit a home run with this video. Very impressed with the way you told the story, the quality of the video - every aspect of it. Amazing how it came together - you even got the kill shot. I’m sure there was a lot of time spent on editing etc making it a top notch watch. Rick’s a natural story teller who knows the things to include to keep it informative and entertaining through out.
"He's a slammah for sure!" I just love that accent. I grew up in Maine. But I met a girl and she's worked on making me lose it for coming up on 30 years now. It still comes out after a few beers though 😂. Congratulations on a heck of an animal.
Great buck!!! Im originally from Arizona and have taken multiple mule deer and one coues deer out there. I now live in milford maine and still trying to learn how to hunt these big Eastern whitetails here. Im gonna give it another shot this year.
“I gotta get him across that beaver 🦫 Bog! That ought to be fun” 😂 nothing like dragging a northern Maine Slammer! Congrats Rick! Beauty of a Buck! And what a great hunt!
What a great video! Excellent hunting but also a great presentation of the whole scene. I appreciate the extra footage of cleaning and sitting down to eat a bite. All that is part of it. I always enjoy seeing the real thing. Congratulations on a great hunt!
Great video. Not so much music- just the way it really is. Gutting the deer then having a sandwich next to the pile is classic. I hunted northwest Maine 1988-2018 and got a few but not nearly as successful as you are. I love learning more from the pros. Im only 63 and still love deer hunting best. Maybe a few more northern hunts in the snow before I call it quits for the big woods
Nice job Rick on your hunt...You always make it an adventure. I just love North woods. There's truly nothing like it hunting in the Big Woods of Northern Maine and Canada. That's what it's all about. Love your videos too Rick. Thank you for sharing your adventures. I've learned a lot from you and the Benoit's.😊
Congratulations Rick. Another year in the books. Really enjoy your content; coming along on the hunt with you, and learning bits of wisdom. TY for sharing with us.
I appreciate the fact that you know the work is done! Most people shoot a buck like that and rush to get it out! Obviously you’ve had more of those days than most. Appreciate the animal and the day! That’s what tracking is all about! The kill is the smallest part of the experience!👍🏻👍🏻
Man it doesn't get any better than that . Congratulations Rick !! Hoping you had some help getting him out . I will be watching this vid a few times for sure .
When Rick says "he's a good one" ... I pay attention ..... Congrats on your 45th 200 patch buck. I can't wait until i can tag along next year, hoping that you connect with your 46th.
Great hunting. Nice to see someone who hunts the way it should be. Recognizing tracks, observant of what the animal is eating, stalking til it is found and making a good shot within range. Very well done sir and good on you. Now that’s real hunting skill. Not plugging away at 500, 700 or 900 yards like other TH-cam “hunters” do.
Hunters use different tactics depending on deer density, terrain, etc. if you tried to track deer in PA you would get no where. There are a million hunters and a million deer. If you tried to track in Texas it’s desert, it’s just different in each geographic location man
I have that same hat, been wearing it for season for many years. Congrats on a real nice buck on a bluebird day! We didn’t see much snow during Michigans deer season either
As an Ontario big woods deer hunter, I appreciate these videos and have a deep respect for the guys that produce them. Congratulations on a successful hunt and for tagging out on a brute, well done sir! By the way, what type of camera do you use to film your hunts, GoPro??
I guess it’s just where you’re from but I’m in Idaho and nobody Ive ever known in my 50 years of hunting has ever really cared about how much the buck they got weighs. I guess if you can’t brag about the size of the rack, you can claim it weighs 200 lbs. and have something to brag about.

Congratulations Rick. Perfect day in the woods.
Thank you for taking the time and sharing your hunt on video 👍

I appreciate the end when dressing the buck out. Keeping it real.

Great hunt by one of the best. Love watching Rick and Hal Blood track and kill big bucks in the big woods.
Legend this man is..
Got to film the drag out to show all the work that goes into getting a big deer out of the big woods.

Love hearing about Ricks successes. It does make me wanna get out there and keep trying. I’m new to tracking and I have a lot to learn.
Great Video, thanks for sharing

Sorry that you didn't connect but you had a good tracking job
How its done. Love it
Did he already have lead in him when you made the shot by the beaver pond?
As an Ontario big woods deer hunter, I appreciate these videos and have a deep respect for the guys that produce them. Congratulations on a successful hunt and for tagging out on a brute, well done sir! By the way, what type of camera do you use to film your hunts, GoPro??
Congratulations Rick that’s a nice 8 pointer that’s going to be fun dragging him out from that bog but that’s the name of the game take it all in
This is how Rick is different from other hunters, usually when you gut a deer you lay them flat on their back and I’d take my watch off and he didn’t.
At first it looked like you were taking a bite out of the hart! I have actually seen some one do that
Passed up 30 buck tracks this morning lol
Rick you’re the fucking man
Where do you get that pack? Congrats on the buck 🎉
Large packs temporarily out of stock, small packs are available: www.bigwoodsbucks.com/
Well done! How much did he weigh in the end???

Great video! Congrats Rick. Your a killer thats for sure.
That stuff on the tree is called chaga.
🙏🇺🇸❤️🩹🇺🇸🙏
your bullets are noisy, but i guess that works
I guess it’s just where you’re from but I’m in Idaho and nobody Ive ever known in my 50 years of hunting has ever really cared about how much the buck they got weighs.
I guess if you can’t brag about the size of the rack, you can claim it weighs 200 lbs. and have something to brag about.
Traditionally it’s been the opposite in New England-all about the weight, not the horns
Small buck, compared to what you usally shoot , I like how your endorsing 😂 own products
Show me 45 patches
Yeah
I have to work for a living
Can’t spend my life playing in the woods
7:33 why couldn’t he run away 🤔
30 buck tracks hmmmm I’ll sell you a desert in Florida if you believe it
