    I’m working at my first spa and I’m scared of taking on bad habits, especially with not having client forms to look through. I ask all my questions in the treatment room and sometimes forget to write notes on all my clients due to the short time gap I have before my next. Idk what to do I don’t feel professional and my boss isn’t the best mentor. I’m so busy I can’t keep up with my studies. Any tips for what I could do? Especially for continuing studies now that I’m not in school idk where to start.

      Super exciting that you’re now working at your first SPA ! Getting it all down takes time! Several questions to unpack here. What system are you guys using? What products are you using and why do you not have Client forms? AS for continuing education, I really encourage you to Start with a dive deep into your product manual and your product line. This is the best form of education, knowing exactly what you’re using, and the best way that it can be utilized. It helps in your education to clients as well as in your treatment room. shoot us a message on IG. Happy to offer advice to help.

    Good point on the microneedling. Many never ask that question.

    How do you determine the thickness of skin? I appreciate your videos so much

      Thank you so much! We LOVE creating them. I am so glad that they are so helpful! Great Question; One of the best ways to perform a skin thickness assessment is the pinch test. Gently squeeze and "pinch" the skin near the jawbone area. It's not exact unless done by biopsy, however, it will give you a gauge to work with either thick or thin with good or poor elasticity. I will make a video example of the how I judge the thickness our social page @candwaestheticcourses. Thank you for the question!

      @@candwskincourses I did have a quick question…what’s the easiest way for you to tell if someone has thicker skin? Is it mostly in feel? Or exposed blood vessels? I wish they taught skin analysis better in school. I just want to be sure I understand.

    I have a question, if the client has dry rosacea skin, would a light weight calming moisturizer be better or a more intense moisturizer?
    Thank you for this great topic!

      Put me down for intense..I questioned this yesterday, and. I used lightweight Tuel on super dry skin with rosacea, and it sucked it right up, and she I felt I ripped her off.

      I felt I ripped her off, I mean.

      It really depends on the line and how they formulate the product as well as skin type. In Epionce for example, they utilize Medical Barrier Cream or the Renewal Calming for exasperated Rosacea which are very heavy moisturizers, very emollient. If not inflamed they are utilizing a lighter moisturizer based on skin type, texture and skin goals. We hope this answers your question. Thank you so much for watching. Stay TUNED this would be a GREAT topic for a Video!

    I was glad to learn that the chest neck and face should all be treated the same. I sometimes wonder how to treat different parts of my skin from sunburns and wonder if you have a video about sunburn treatment specifically?

    • @candwskincourses
      @candwskincourses  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the GREAT Question! Yes, I will definitely do some research and make a video about preventing and treating sunburns. It's the perfect time of year to talk about preventing sun damage. It is SUCH an important topic.
