I installed mine by myself in about 3 hours start to finish. You can just use a thick rag over the headlight to set the inner fairing on while you mount it. That gives you some clearance between the fairing and the headlight housing. Once you get the bolts in and loosely fit everything, you can go around and tighten all the bolts. I had to make some fine adjustments but it's fairly simple to do. I really like the fairing and having a radio to listen to while riding.
I have 1999 Vulcan Nomad, it came with all parts & bolts to install it using factory windshield mount. The video was awesome to help give some pointers for install. I just had to cut open speaker holes and deck opening a lil bit more. then had it painted. She's riding in style now. Thanks for video again.

Law Abiding biker every time I here or read it I’m like oh man im not a abiding the law without out a license buuuut I’m good now I got my license now so I am law abiding biker baby!
I just got mine installed in one afternoon, taking my time and getting it done right. I then took a couple hours to get the radio and speakers installed and wired up. Some small adjustments are needed to get it centered on the headlight. I also decided to move my headlight out a couple inches (made my own headlight extender instead of paying for one) The fairing fits good, looks good and seems to be good quality. I'll probably end up with lower faring wind deflectors because I noticed with the batwing fairing on my other bike, I will more than likely need them to prevent the wind updraft from around the fairing. So for about $300 invested, I have a great faring with a great sound system!! Can't beat that.

A scrap piece of 3/16 or 1/4" aluminum (T6 is what I use) will make a headlight extender and/or Pair Valve blockoffs. Sabre saw with orbital action and plenty of WD40.... then sand and polish.
I have that fairing is quality built, but the mounts between the fork tubes on the triple trees are too weak and the fairing moves when I hit bumps, which isn't good. I don't think it's good for the stereo and eventually the fairing itself will start to crack by the bolt holes. I am going to lengthen the brackets and mount the faring directly to the fork tubes with clamps instead.
Appreciate the video, got my reckless fairing for the x, same brackets & instructions dont say which side sis which but your video kept me on track, tyvm

Quick question: I have the same fairing but empty shell on my 06’ Roadstar. The top part of the fairing shakes a lot when lots of wind on highway. I’m thinking of putting extra brackets attached maybe from the handle bars to make the top part stiffer. Any suggestions how I could tackle that? Thx and love the show. 👍
I'm going thru the comments looking for an answer to this exact question myself. I've looked up stabilizing brackets for batwing fairing and the options for my 2006 Honda VTX1300C are limited at best. Everything is made for Harley
I have the same bike in a 2002. I have the same faring, but only the outer shell. Had to take it off after a year due to the batwing being pushed I into my resivoirs on my handle bars. I also checked the brackets. They were tight. Maybe I need different brackets, but I used the ones that were supplied by Memphis Shades. Ideas?
Did you or would you recommend using any type of caulking or anything, especially along the windshield to keep moisture out? It rains more over here in Olympia than in Yakima.
I love how the Stealth Batwing looks. Great job!!! I have a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500 and I can't find the U-Shaped Brackets anywhere? I've literally have spent all morning looking for these. if that came from usatrailer they dont include the mount bracket now they have hose clamps. stopped me from ordering it because i wont mount anything with hose clamps.
I got the one from US Trailer for my 300 VTX and it did come with mounting brackets just like the ones on this video. I didn't want the model that uses the form mount hose clamps. It just looks tacky to me. Mine fit perfect.
Hey I have a 2018 shadow phantom VTX 750 and that mounting bracket looks like it will fit can somebody please send a link for the bracket and the fairing I can’t find but please help.
@@adampatrick3858 no never found one I used the Memphis shade one I had already I’m still looking for one it fits ok I would like it to fit a little better
Did that fairing come with the holes pre drilled for the plates that bolt to the bracket to mount the fairing? How did you measure to get the holes the same if you drilled? I have a usa-biker bat wing, way different than the one you installed, radio is bigger than double din radio, speaker holes are odd size, so I need to make a few tweeks.
Reno Raines i have a usa biker fairing that I just bought as well and I am having the same problem. 5 inch speaker holes and no pre drilled holes. If it came with the holes predrilled it seems like it would be a breeze but if you have to drill your own then don't mess up. Lol BTW the big space for the cd player is for you to buy there waterproof cover that you install first so your cd player will fit snug. Im having the same problems you are. So keep me posted as to what you do about them.

Jason Dwyer you can make your own by clamping stainless steel sheet metal or chrome bands around the forks then bolting the bands to the fairing mounting bracket or make your own with steel plate.

if that came from usatrailer they dont include the mount bracket now they have hose clamps. stopped me from ordering it because i wont mount anything with hose clamps.
I got the one from US Trailer for my 300 VTX and it did come with mounting brackets just like the ones on this video. I didn't want the model that uses the form mount hose clamps. It just looks tacky to me. Mine fit perfect.
Will a light bar work with this faring?
+Andy P Hard to answer that question. There are so many light bars out there.
can you make a video showing how to install a batwing fairing made by tsukayu on a Honda shadow 750 aero
We've always got tons of videos in the works. Make sure you're subscribed. We'll put it on the list

what is name of the company for the fairing
Looks nice
Hey I have a 2018 shadow phantom VTX 750 and that mounting bracket looks like it will fit can somebody please send a link for the bracket and the fairing I can’t find but please help.
Did u ever find the bracket, i am currently looking
Did you ever figure this out? I'm dealing with the holes in my custom setup now any tips?
@@mitchellhulin7568 you ever figure it out
where can I get those mounting brackets??
The owner of the bike got the kit off of Ebay.

Jason Dwyer you can make your own by clamping stainless steel sheet metal or chrome bands around the forks then bolting the bands to the fairing mounting bracket or make your own with steel plate.
