I appreciate your openness about this topic and how spontaneous and unscripted this is. Btw, the moments where you have both your hands off the steering wheel makes me anxious.
I spent 28 years in the USAF as a fighter pilot. I didn't make any money and drive an 11 year old Buick I like. I have a couple of watches I like. I didn't do it for the money. I only have my soul to take with me to heaven (I hope! Lol)
28 years as a fighter pilot! First off, badass. I was USAF as well. Many people don't realize how impressive it is to be a fighter pilot (I was not). But dude...you must have been at least a full bird Colonel after that time! Maybe even a Brig. Gen...you made money...
It’s not how much you make it’s how much you spend. Also , driving sports cars with alacrity is the next best thing to flying a fighter. And for the doubting Thomases I have the bona fides. Do what makes you happy. Merika!
I agree. I am far from free of bad choices, and their outcomes. Reading the Poem 'If' by Kipling at a young age helped put these issues into perspective. "Treat triumph and disaster as the imposters they are". Modern science shows this same need. To accept our circumstances, and work within them. Free energy, flow, acceptance, mindfulness...
The way to truly get better in life is to learn from the bad decisions you make and not to repeat them. Great rant and nice to hear someone real speaking the truth. Thanks.
Nice ride. Thanks for taking us along! You're absolutely on point with your 3 points. And there is no such thing as only good decisions. Without darkness, there is no light.
I couldn't agree more and this is coming from a 53 yr old guy who's made a crap ton of bad decision's. It's all in how your handle the outcome of those decision's. Some I've learned from and some I'm still learning from.
Huh, I could have written the exact same thing. Totally agree with you, how one handles and learns from it. One should have a growth mindset, not fixed.
A book I read in college called "The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life by Erving Goffman, talks about how we all play roles to those around us, we are any given time, Parent, child, friend, enemy colleague, etc, even an influencer and we all only show that part of us that the other person needs to see. He called that our "Frontstage self" and the Backstage Self is our true reality, that almost nobody gets to see. The danger is if we spend so much time being something/ someone to everyone else we lose sight of our Backstage self.
Hey man, you're on point. I just started my journey on TH-cam with my 996. To your point on making decisions and keeping true to ones self: I'm going to sell my Batman and 40mm Submariner to pay for an s2000. How's that for: "Be true to yourself and follow your dreams." - me
I deal with so many people who think they are ready for a promotion because they haven't gotten into any problems or made any mistakes when in reality is because they simply avoided making though/risky decisions that actually should have been made. You absolutely nailed it.
Thank you for sharing your insight, your heart and your soul with us. We are all human. We are successful and we make mistakes. We learn from our mistakes (hopefully) and we bask in our successes. I look forward each day to hear your perspectives. Continue to rock on friend.
Absolutely correct, nobody makes good decisions all the time. Hindsight is 20/20, and it's easy to point out what you could (or perhaps should) have done differently. Fact is, you didn't, and you ended up with a different result from what you wanted-- and you're going to have to deal with that. And even if you don't make a mistake, you can still end up with an unfavorable outcome. It just happens. That's life.
Please start every video with the starting of the car! Yes, air-cooled 911 RULE!!! And finally, one of your best videos. The reality of social media...I've read several stories of SMers burning out, crashing, quiting, etc. due to the self-imposed high demands and the runaway effect SM can have. Jory, videos every day (I, too, caught the irony, LOL), dude, take a break when you need to, we'll still be here for ya as we don't want you to throw yer hands up and quit one day.
Good video, man. Well said. I think struggle is somehow programmed into everyone’s life. The only variance is the degree of struggle. Decisions MUST be made hehe
Nice video T3 I have been thinking about the decisions things for many years now that life is series of a mixed between good and bad decisions, but that is why life is wonderful. People are easily influenced and more often than not didn't think critically about the thing they see on the internet. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and perspectives on the topic.
Life's made with decisions. We learn from bad ones and feel joyful with good ones. I think every nice life is made with a mixture of both. What's that nice chill song?
Okay so something that my Sharp eyes caught is I noticed you have what I call catback exhaust on your subie and I noticed you also have catback exhaust on your Porsche I would say that you like having four pipes at the back of your vehicle... And I know the sound is phenomenal
Love back to you. Also love the new channel. But the episode about the driving shoes was too pedestrian. (Yes pun intended). As a proud owner of some Piloti spider S-1’s they are shoes for driving. How much they help you depends on how much help you need.

Solid words. It’s not just social media either, we all put on fronts for the outside world. Don’t compare your insides with other people outsides.

Always be cautious of the life somebody shows you.
