I had to translate this to Russian using Google Translate.
I live in England, Britain, and I’ve always had it with spaghetti or pasta. However, Beef Stroganoff is a Russian dish, so I will make it with mashed potatoes. It also makes sense, as potatoes are packed with calories and so better for the colder weather. I also think that I will enjoy it more with mashed potatoes.
      Thank you for the information.
Я живу в Англии, Британия, и у меня всегда были спагетти или макароны. Однако Бефстроганов - русское блюдо, поэтому я буду делать его с картофельным пюре. American citizens and their forefathers came to our shores from every country on the face of the earth. Each brought with them their national recipes which when broken down , regionally, locally and finally their families' home dishes. We are a huge nation that borders two oceans and a large Gulf of Mexico. We've been very blessed from sea to shining sea and when it all comes down to the simple fact that Americans believe that it all begins at the hearth of our homes loving God, our family and neighbors.

Any beef stroganoff I have ever had was good. Also, the beef was in smaller pieces and cooked till fall apart tender before adding the pasta and the sauce. It was also seasoned with salt and pepper. I got the impression the beef they were trying was a little tough. If so, not a particulary impressive dish for them. They are so polite, but you can almost always tell when they are just not into a dish, (no matter how polite they are), they are not constantly tasting and commenting while taking little bites and leaving most of it on the plate. A good food test if the beef was tender.

The original Russian dish was usually served over a kind of dumpling, similar to a German spaetzle. The dough is very close to a pasta or noodle dough and is cooked in boiling water or broth.
I'm sure when the dish gained popularity over the years and around the world, dried egg noodles were probably the closest and most convenient substitute. The Russians also serve it over potatoes, so I suppose just like all of us, they use whatever they happen to like and/or have in abundance at the time they're making it! ☺️

I would have to say that these gentlemen are eating a more varied palate than anyone on the planet! From every origin and culinary genre, they are trying things for the first time that most of us take for granted. But most of us also eat the same rotation of foods because they are readily available and have become our "favorites". How many times have we watched them try a totally foreign dish and we mutter to ourselves "oh, yeah, I have that all the time". These guys, 90% of this is all new, and they obviously love the whole experience.

For an easy Stroganoff recipe for those on the go. Get a roast. Put in slow cooker with can of cream of mushroom soup, and Packet of dried onion soup. You may add sliced fresh mushrooms also. If you are busy in the morning, make the night before and place in fridge. In the morning, put on crockpot heat and let cook all day. When you get home you can prepare your egg noodles. Pull your roast out and shred it with forks. When it is shredded up, throw back in crock pot. Toss in some sour cream. Make sure there is enough sour cream. When done your noodles should be ready. Drain your noodles. Place noodles on plate and add as much meat sauce as you like. I also like to top with shredded parmesan. When done, make sure you have plenty of noodles and mix them with meat sauce. This you can refrigerate and eat as wanted, just microwave it. It will be great for lunch or a second meal. Enjoy.

I love beef stroganoff! It's a great wintertime comfort food. I like to make mine with very wide, flat pappardelle noodles, cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, chives, extra mushrooms, and put in some ranch dressing seasoning powder for a bit of extra tanginess and flavor. 🤤

I can't remember have they tried borscht, I like beef borscht best but their is a vegetarian recipe for it too. I think they would like it served with sour cream and Russian rye bread . Maybe you could have them try it sometime. Also pierogi and stuffed cabbage rolls Polish style. Shepards pie would be a good one for them to try too.

How about a pasta tutorial series?
For each video, show them a video of one national pasta tradition. All the pasta forms of Italy, explaining common sauces and side dishes.
Then China in the same way. Indonesia. Japan.
There are even Greek noodles - they look like rice.
There are noodles made of potatoes: Italian gnocchi and German Schupfnudeln.
Dumplings use pasta dough as well: Jiaozi, pelmeni, ravioli, Maultaschen etc.
After reacting to the information in the videos, you can let them vote which pasta dish they get to try in the next video.
I recommend Italian black sepia pasta with shrimps and cherry tomatoes, fried in olive oil with a little bit of balsamic vinegar. Or Southeast Asian glass noodles with vegetables and chicken. Or Maultaschen - they'll love those. It's a lump of meat with some spices and vegetable pieces inside a giant ravioli, cooked in broth. They were originally only eaten during the Catholic lent, when meat was forbidden for 40 days. But the Suabians, who created them, thought, that God couldn't see them eating meat, if they hid it in a pasta dough husk.
