Honestly this doesn’t look bad. I think the sections in the back of each side need more slightly cover, either soft or hard. And the light tank bush line absolutely needs some hard cover so lights don’t die as soon as you go from one bush to another

Funny - this last ver we have of Airfield, they added all the rocks and such, which seems to be a trend with the Devs. They did the same with Mountain Pass, where the last change was adding more rocks and semi-hulldowns and a new bushes here and there. Like you said, RR, they changed it SO much, the map needs to be rename. GG WG! o0

Kind of hated the old map, but not as bad as Empires Border because of amount of map that is unplayable, and Ensk which I feel is only good for low tiers or HTs at higher tiers. In general, most maps need to be made larger due to how fast vehicles have become and view range has enlarged on most tanks.
I think they need to create some new maps instead of just reworking what is likely one of the least popular maps in the game. I agree with everyone else who has said that this just looks flatter and more open (read "faster"), and that just makes for more boring games. I do like the idea of increasing the usable space, and I'm looking forward to the rework of Ensk for that reason, but I'm pretty sure this will continue to be one of the more blocked maps in the game.
Everytime a map is reworked, it always looks good at first but always feels so barren. each map has less greenery, always flat, always linear invisible walls everywhere so you can’t just climb up anything it’s like they dropped you on an arena rather than making you feel like you and 29 other people rolled up on that area for a decisive battle. Doesn’t really promote much dynamic gameplay. Each map almost always 50% of the map is used for corridor battles and the other 50% is barely used for anything. In short there’s no life on the maps anymore and maps feels small nowadays, WG should also expand their maps, 1.5km2 for tier 10’s 1.25km2 for tier 9’s 1km2 for tier 8’s 800m2 for tier 7’s and minus 50m2 for each tier below.
@@spit782because maps especially open maps for tier 9 is starting to feel small too with the introductions of faster tanks. light tanks, it can spot enemies less than a minute into the game, mediums should have a bit more wiggle room to flank around, TD’s could position better. but with WG making everymap linear and corridor like, it’s just going end up the way it is now, just takes a while to drive there. But i know WG will never do that tho, the more the corridor maps are the more tanks could start slinging shells, and with the hulldown meta tanks will fire premium ammo guaranteed.
wot really need's new maps in rotation charkov, minsk, staliningrad were removed... and seeing this it might just as well be another seperate desert map from sand river...
That "UFO" is a sphere for light and reflection of the map. I made hangars in the past and found those "ufos" there as well.

Typical, every time wg rework the map they make it worse. This will be another flat and boring map.
