It's kind of been and it seems like when you go to use it it's not going to be solid enough to hold, I would definitely put more sugar in it. The solid coconut oil gives it a better texture! I don't like it to dry like some people make it and I definitely like yours I would just make it a little thicker! But that's your preference you might like it more runny! You should try the solid coconut oil and see if you like the texter! 😁💞💐
I have a question. Body washes first ingredients are usually alway water and water dissolved sugar. I’ve have been making my body scrubs with body wash and I haven’t noticed the sugar dissolve but I’m curious if you have🤔 I haven’t had a sugar scrub sit long enough maybe.
it's been months so hopefully you know this by now, but PLEASE dry out your bowl before adding your ingredients. since you aren't using a preservative in this scrub it is going to mold very quickly because you've introduced water immediately already. also if you're using any type of fragrance oil you have to make sure it's body safe and use it under the max usage rate and it needs to be measured precisely. you can get majorly sued if you use too much and hurt someone. you should be weighing out everything in your recipe and using percents so you're making consistent batches every time and you're using things within the usage rates. i suggested using oz and grams when possible as grams are most specific :)

The fragrance oil I used for the sugar is safe for the body and skin, that’s the first thing I researched on before making this scrub. I will be measuring out my ingredients as well especially the fragrance oil like you suggested. Thank you once again ☺️☺️
Thank you for saying this. German II or optiphen plus would be good preservatives to use in your base before adding sugar. Finding a preservative that works well with your base is best. A lawsuit is the last thing you need and working with preservatives isn't hard at all. Just making a recipe and going off of that
Yeah. I was thinking the same thing. How would you know if the fragrance is at a safe level if you didn’t measure any of the ingredients? Fragrances are typically safe at about 3% but some can be a lot lower than that. You need to check with the company that you bought it from and find out the safe percentage to use it in sugar scrubs.
Also, I’m guessing the pre-made body wash has a preservative. But it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Yeah if you didn't read the bottles shes using say Flavoring Oils not Fragance Oils which means if she didnt add the soap you couldve eaten it if ya wanted lol

Just some friendly advice if you buy a bigger thing of sugar instead of them little ones it will cost you less and they also have 20 lb bags and if you added up you actually save a good amount! 🍭💞🍚💞🍡

We always buy the big bags same with flower. Have it in totes with the oxygen disk. It's part of out food stock. Going to start making our own bread too

Tip: don’t mix the sugar to much it will make it more of a wash then a scrub.when you mix your body was into the sugar I recommend mixing the pigment,oil,and body wash the same time then add it to your sugar. No hate

AMTicide Coconut is a preservative that prevents the growth of yeast and mold highly recommend it!
Hi is there other cheaper preservatives I can buy?
@@yasminalineee make sure to read the preservatives throughly. So you know what phase to add it in! Most of the time you add it in the cool down phase!

Do you add a preservative to your sugar scrub to protect against bacteria and mold forming between use???
The bodywash should already have the preservative in it. She wouldn't need to add more.
@@evettevolker235 she would need to add more because while the body wash already has preservative, it’s only preserving that specific product. When you introduce new ingredients to an already made product/formula with a preservative, you have to add another preservative to protect the new “formula” because it’s a completely new product at that point.

Heyy, I always check the ingredients before purchasing. So yes the fragrances I use for the body scrub is 100% safe for skin, lips and face💓.

An emulsifier like carnauba wax, beeswax or Ewax will do the trick.

All body scrubs have soap. For foaming sugar scrub you need to buy foaming bath butter and whip it up. Hope that helps🤍
All body scrubs do not have soap, yes this is considered a foaming scrub.
Also this is a Goat Milk body wash and water. You need preservative and more sugar to this. And the goat milk product should be on the label too.

whenever your earliest oil goes bad. so if you use coconut oil and avocado and the avocado goes bad in 6 months then that's the shelf life

Why didn't you use a preservative? Bc it's gonna come in contact with water and that will help it not get any mold or bacteria 🤷🏾♀️ I use a whipped foam and it gets bigger as you mix it and I put the same amount of sugar and it comes out kinda thick.
