    Had the same issue, I used electrical tape to keep it in place and worked like new. Really simple fix.

      Where did you put the tape, on the mat or on the machine?

    Thank you, this helped me load and align without the mat on a roll on my Cameo 3.

    Mine is doing same thing but the o-rings in the center of the roller had dry rotted. They just crumbled off. That I guess is why mine began cutting off track. I don't know what the fix for it is. I've looked around but haven't found the o-rings for it.

    I just got the cameo 3 last week I used it 4 times on the 4th run my entire mat turned at a huge almost 45 degrees the right corner was literally at the right wall of the cutter not sure if it was the type of paper (foil card stock) but right away my 1st instinct was to check the Right Roller as well. Being new I thought perhaps I didn’t lock it but now I’m wondering if it’s just a flaw they need to work on in general.

      Did you manage to resolve the problem? The roller has multiple parts and I'd advice having material on the mat under the thicker part on the far ends of the rollers. Those parts are intended for moving the mat.
      Another factor might be just like you said: a problem with the machine not locking in properly. I haven't heard about such problems before but I am not an expert.

      Mine just started doing the exact same thing on the right side also, using the 12" X 24" mat, and by the time it gets to the second design, the mat is almost sideways. Cameo 3

      @@thomasnoppers2366 Well it only worked for a day and then my mat started moving again. Figured that after 6 years my original silhouette Cameo (earlier model than yours in the vid) had just had enough. Ordered a Cameo 4 and hopefully it will arrive this week

      @@charmainebanfield3153 Aww oh no! I hope the new one is splendid! If not then maybe t is about the cutting mat? Maybe try your old mat on your new cameo and see how that goes.

    I can see in the video that the white lever on the right end of you machine is not straight up. It is turned toward you. make sure it is straight up and down. This is the lever that holds that roller down.

    I think one side gets stuck and slowly goes off track overtime. You may want to look more into it.

    • @thomasnoppers2366
      @thomasnoppers2366  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Derek. How would it get stuck though?

    • @MyCraftyMind4U
      @MyCraftyMind4U 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Derek Dye I do think the left has a tighter grip on the mat as it is not the side that lifts up but my cameo 3 is brand new & I have a major issue see my earlier comment for more details. Not a good thing.

    • @thomasnoppers2366

      I solved it! Cleaned the rollers with with a tweezer and alcohol. The grease on the rollers caused decreased its grip which slowly caused the mat to go off track when moving.

      EDIT: Solved it! Cleaned the rollers (also the iron one below) with with a tweezer and alcohol. The grease on the rollers caused decreased its grip which slowly caused the mat to go off track when moving. Just apply some alcohol on the metal roller and rub off the dirty stuff.

    It looks like you have some kind of sticky stuck to your rollers.. that will cause that problem.

    Hi. I have a question for my cameo 3. Whenever it finishes the cutting of logo at the end its always has stray cut. Like a diagonal one. How do i fix it?

    Mine is off after a horrible paper jam. Now it cuts 2 inches below the top of the mat. Which messes up my cutting for anything. I lose 2 inches! Grrrrr!

      I never worked with vinyl so not an expert. But you could have a mat that in not adhesie/sticky enough anymore. I usually make it sticky again with spray-glue.

      Ive been trying to figure out why my stickers always cut off to the right and i see you use the sticky glue to restick your mats and i do as well and the rollers do get dirty and the roller to the right moves alot as well. I think it is cheaply made as well. I have never had so many issues like i do now. Its so frustrating. Im trying to figure this out as well. I heard it could be the lighting as well so close the lid and i also heard to make sure your printer and your cameo says the same size paper like both 8.5 x11 and not A-4 and 8.5 x 11, if that makes sence. Hope this helps and i will try what you said as well. My rollers are dirty but it mostly happens when i cut stickers.
