what i like about your videos is that you get things done. not like the "pro youtubers" who make a 50mins video of them taking a car off a trailer and have 3 sponsors.
Rob don’t worry about “too many vans” Personally I get just as much enjoyment watching you both fixing them but with the added bonus that you are putting another useful vehicle back on the road from some fortunate person to help earn her/his living! Well done boys!
Another Chris quote of the day. - “you shouldn’t fall out of bed too often” in reference to pricing up the necessary parts required. Love it 😂🤣👏👏👏👍 Cracking video lads. ✊
Makes me laugh when you find something broken and you say its a shame. Its all the shames and your expertise that keeps you in business. Love the channel.
The voice-over sections, really do add another dimension to your videos. I need to add the camera speaking part, section to mine, lol. Keep up the great work guys
nice van, same as the dispatch & vivaro now, I've done a few of these, most seem to be from northgate, bonnet is aluminium, while you've got the intercooler off, check for oil sitting in the bottom hose, I had a couple rot through the rubbers & give an air leak.
As I watch you guys do your thing, I find I really like watching you guys fix all these boring refrigerator white vans. What I like about it is for the most part, they seem to be designed and built to actually be repairable. It’s pretty amazing how your able to fairly quickly get these apart and back together in a reasonable amount of time and how available replacement parts are and how affordable they are for the most part. Looking forward to the next episode on this van.
Can’t go wrong with an electricians van, often very light usage compared to a lot of other trades. Before my dad could afford brand new ones as a bricky, he would often try to seek them out when they were chopping them in as part ex.
Got one of these but as a Toyota , It’s a proace . Keep the ad blue tank topped up as if it gets to low the van no longer recognises when you too it back up and then Toyota want £1000 for new ad blue tank .
Lovely van. It's great how modern vehicles are put together, where the whole front can be removed after an accident. With very little damage to te important structures underneath. Chris has done a stirling job on those end plates. Top work. 👍
I agree with Jason, explaining what Chris and you are doing clarifies what actions are being performed too a not too mechanical minded fan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep it up (and God Save the King)
That extra space looks vital time to keep an eye out for a crashed auto trans with sat nav. You both really show your talents on this one. Those end caps don’t even need paint LOL Thanks Gentlemen
Got to say after buying a lot of salvage never had car vertical show me photos especially on copart cars, I use one that’s about quarter the price and really does give more accurate information on the damage details including insurer and policy numbers, it recently told me the engine was also u/s on a heavy duty Range Rover when every other hpi was just showing cat N
Hi Rob and Chris, nice van ghis one, light use, low miles. Did well on finding parts quickly, Chris did a brilliant job on the front metalwork in double quick time too.. Alex
I'd recommend that you look at your existing spares from previous projects that share the same engine ie land rover transit etc.alot of generic part bin specials involved 👌
Another cracking video gents.Only 3 and a half years old.I am sure you will get this one back on the road soon.I believe that this van shares the same chassis and components as the Toyota proace
You are rattling through another great vehicle turn round, a great weekend marker for zero to another great van. That should really move on a treat. Knowing where, and how to buy is a huge part of your secret sauce. You show this ingredient every time.
I had the Citroen version of that .did 186000 miles in it . Apart from alternator bracket braking and shredding the AC lines.which was part of a recall. They are lovely vans . much better than the VW transporter i have now. But it's great to see a bit of diversity when repairing vehicles. If its damaged in any way Rob and Chris will. Repair it too a very high standard.
Looks like a nice moderately simple repair. Not sure what it actually is. Chris called it a van, but Rob reckons it might b a loaf....seemed to make a lot of toast anyway. So no mention of bread and butter job or you jammy people...promise. Good luck as always and another super video to watch. Cheers, Bob
Well guys from the the 2 minutes past 10 workshop another lovely project! Good to see plenty of vans guys...Enjoy the rest of your long week end guys....👍👍
A parts van with rear damage would have saved a lot of anxiety over sourcing new parts but I am sure you checked that. Good to see a newish van being repaired. 👍
The only problem with parts vans is getting rid of the dead shell. (Also Rob’s truck is too small to take that size). - I expect the best result is if Rob could find one in a scrap yard and just take what they need…
@@philtucker1224 My US TH-cam repair shop always uses parts vehicles and then sell what is left over to either other people wanting to fix the same car - ie. another parts car or the steel recycle market!
Hello Rob & Chris; so good to be able to watch you both working (fast forward) and have the commentry explaining what is happening! What a good contact you have in the local salvage yard. Chris has done such a good job with the front chassis / framework. Looking forwards to the rest of the repair work to be done. Best wishes from (a wet) Lincolnshire.
Nice van, shame about all the airbags! Plastic everywhere, nightmare. Coming together very quickly though. Chris’s skill with the dozer soon sorted the chassis legs 👍🇬🇧😎
Rob, you really need a bigger van like the Peugeot. If you're doing a high mileage then you'll be sat in the same gear for mile after mile, no point in an automatic and practicality is key to any van.
Another good potential moneymaker. Needed some of Chris' magic touch, parts are mostly cheap, as a commercial you don't have to be as fussy as with a similar age car on fixing minor scratches and bits. Now some trades guy will get a good van for a decent price.
Come on Rob you know it makes sense to keep,it just look how tight fitting the new bumper in the back of your van, great bit of salvage make a cracking motor for you 😂
A pug van hits the salvage rebuilds workshop in a sorry state 😂 no doubt you pair of magicians will get it looking happy again 😅, Rob the star drive bolts you always talk about are called TORX head bolts 😂😂, fantastic voice over yet again, well done 👏, see you in the next video.
Favourite on these is when they get hit the rad goes back and snaps the feed pipe off the clutch slave cylinder and they are a right pain to replace..Plus i hope you found the AC was "degassed" in accident and you didnt release it into the atmosphere.
Good morning Rob and Cris, nice looking van and you both cracked on with the repairs. Eddie, as always comes up trumps with the parts. The voice overs are really good and it is nice that they are helping Kevin out. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged
Rob it sounds like your keeping this one😂... had one of these from new on 69 plate....so unreliable went into limp mode three times before i even reached a thousand miles.... gave me a bad back too.... got rid ren months ago.... backs much better....
Love channel, just wondered why you did,nt seperate shipping containers to make garage parking, or place to work when workshop full.just needs a roof from each container ,doubling storage space.ian campbell ,cumbria.cheers lads.
Might be wrong but isn’t the plastic part including the plug at the back of alternator called charge regulator? They sell them separately so no need to replace whole alternator. And Chris don’t mess around. Bish bash bosh-done, Rob where is my parts 🤣
You gotta get the chassis end plates dead on on the top mounts for the front panel otherwise nothing will line up either you will have either the bonnet sat on top of the bumper or you can check the oil without opening the bonnet.
Mate - if Chris ever says something is hard, us mere mortals should run away fast lol. I am used to seeing the videos from the guys now with cars (and vans!!) that look like they should be scrapped and a few videos later, they look like new. Truly masters at what they do - great teamwork.
I'm chuffed to see this! These are superb vans, I'm on my third. They drive really well, are comfortable and outstanding value for money, a big advance over the previous model.
We get loads of these in, just for info, even though the fronts are different between the peugeot, citroen and vauxhall vans, the lower bumper (textured bit) is the same part number on all 3 vans 😉
A nice van Gents. Though the sparks didn't have it long and that is why Chris didn't find any money! It is good that the airbag kit is just the top half, could have been even more money so a bonus there. Overall as I say it is looking good and Chris got the caps straight. Have a good holiday weekend Rob and Chris. 👍👍
That's a nice van,it's great the chassis legs are not bent,a bummer about the alternator, but I'd say their is plenty of them around, can't wait to see the next video, keep them coming Lads!!👍🇮🇪
Chris and Rob ,another great video . allot different to the 2014 I use drive as a E7 taxi i notice the battery is under the bonnet, the 2014 expert the battery is under a flap by the drivers seat .It will look good when it's finished .Take care I see you in the next video. You have to make the most of the easy one's as you never no if the next will bite you in the arse lol. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing it completed 👍
Brilliant video, they are getting such an enjoyable watch, really liking the voiceover work, a really nice van that, its tempting I can see but automatics are brilliant these days, I have a Mondeo Vignale estate auto and I love it, don't ever want to go back to manual

I quite like the time lapse commentary. It's better than the music
Being an electricians van, I thought there wouldn't be any coins just £10 and £20 notes in every door pocket just floating around like tissues

Hi Rob, really like your over talking on timelapse because I am blind. I still get to know what you are doing on the video 8:33
Don’t know what you have done but the sound, volume and quality, is best ever on this video. Cracking. Thank you.
You guys crack me up, love the "layed" back attitude Chris has...lol
He's still smiling with no change...😅
Quick tip- use a wall paper steamer on the graphics, I did it last week, unbelievably quick and easy
That’s a good tip.
Remember when Chris wouldn’t say anything… now he’s got his own mic. Fantastic video!

I'm sparky too and drive the auto version of this over here in NZ. They are a flying machine even when loaded.
You can buy the alternator bit. Called a voltage regulator and the broken plastic bits should have a number on it if you push them together.
Keep the van content coming guys, I find it interesting
Sometimes more than the cars 👏👌🏻
