The noise is best visible on a Desktop Monitor. I was shooting with the Lumix S5IIX camera and ISO 3200 to make it more prominent. If possible, I recommend shooting with ISO 640 to get even better image quality.
Great video! But I'm probably stupid, but I don't understand what you're doing on the Lumix to achieve less noise in V-log 🙈 I still have a big problem with it, that my videos are quite noisy even when I use dual iso.. so what do I have to do? Thank you very much for the answer. 🙂
Thank you 🙏. ETTR is overexposed footage, to get rid of the noise. Try to overexpose with at least two stops, and your footage will be much cleaner 🌟 🎥 I will come up with more videos explaining V-Log footage. Have a great day 🤩 greetings to Czech Republic 🇨🇿 🎬🎥
How come you didn’t do iso 4000 which was it 2nd native? I found the shadows very noisy on Lumix S5iiX but this makes a lot more sense as to why. Do you know of a chart like Blackmagic for this camera that shows the dynamic range for low and high light dynamic range? If not I wish lumix had one 😇. Great short and informative video!
Thank you for your feedback🙏 I agree that the second base ISO is much cleaner. ✅ The use of ISO 3200 is meant to help demonstrate the noise floor. It was quite challenging to make the noise visible with TH-cam compression😉 The DR of the Lumix5IIX outstanding ✅🎥🎬
@@christianwmeyer So 2-3 stops over seems to get the best final image and DR... that's very helpful. I recently switched to Lumix from Black Magic, got me an S9 and this comes in handy! I'm starting to learn more about the metering mode too. Thanks!
Very helpful, thanks!
Merci beaucoup Stéphane, I watched some of your short films, and they are very well done 🎥🎬✅
@@christianwmeyer thank you for your kind words! Very encouraging!! 🍿🍿🍿
Great content, keep it coming
Thank you, Michael. This is just the beginning 😉🎥🎬

@@christianwmeyer Would you say over exposing by 4 stops is the best way to avoid the noise?
Also where would you set the zebras for in vlog?
@@rw3452the balance is between 2-3.
I use the spot meter for ETTR.
@ in the brightest areas I assume 👍. Thanks for the response 🎉
@@rw3452Yes, that is correct. Please give it a try and let us know how your tests went.
What is your personal favorite?
I use to balance between ETTR 2-3 and utilize the spot meter, which is extremely helpful on LUMIX cameras. 🎥 ✅

@@lfcruzsierra Hi Luis, thanks for writing and I’m glad you like your LUMIX Camera 🎥
Which NLE do you use?
I hope DaVinci Resolve 😉
@@christianwmeyer Yes, I'm a Davinci Resolve user! Tried your method today on a shoot.
That‘s awesome 🤩🎥🎬
