Hey Ethan, if worse comes to worse, you can prime the wood with Zinsser oil based primer. This is a great primer for indoor/ outdoor use. I used this before re glazing wooden windows to keep the wood from absorbing the linseed oil from the putty. I then primed it again after glazing to allow the latex to adhere to the putty and to seal the putty . You'll be able to topcoat with a good exterior latex paint after you prime it and it will hold up for years and years.
Really appreciate your videos I look forward for them all week. Your shop tools and machines are so impressive! Also your so knowledgeable to use the machines the proper way. Nice job on the Jack very cool Jack . Have a good weekend. I’m looking forward for cutting wheat videos.
Thanks for the video Ethan, keep up the good work, its pretty cool to see the manure spreader being built from the frame up, hopefully you can get the paint situated, I had to put my dog to sleep the other day, vshe was 13, it was a difficult thing to do but it was time, my dog is in a better place now, I know how you felt when you had to put your other dog to sleep
Well, good luck with the paint situation. I don't know that much about wood paints, but the oil based paints use different color codes than water based paints? I would've thought one could get it scanned to get a color and get it matched somehow regardless of the type of paint. Guess not.
Martin Senour is a Sherwin Williams brand, pretty sure they only make an automotive line sold through Napa now. There is a raw material shortage for paint right now so it might be tough to get certain paint bases

The government is afraid somebody's cattle might get too close to the spreader and eat a paint chip. Gotta ban all that shit from humanity and animals Farm Boy. Keep on farmin!! Get that wheat this week while the weather is good.
I love to whach you. Some time I learn things, thank you for that.

Oil base is being phased out bc of regulation. It can’t even be sold in certain states anymore from what I’ve been finding.
Great video and great work 😀👍I hope the weather will give you a chance to cut some wheat 👍👍
Thanks.
Thanks for the great video 👍🇺🇸
Thanks
Awww Ethan you should paint the frame while it’s all apart!!!
Give me 3 more months of summer and I’ll get right on it.

That’s exactly what’s happening to. Regulation is forcing them to get away from oil base because of “environmental concerns”. Stupid.
Grease is the word!
When u go to re bild then I can put snap Riggs in plase of the carder keys that way u cood put u a geese fitting in
Maybe
go to TSC and put a new jack on it.
Why? There is nothing wrong with the factory jack.
Gonna be spreading democratic promises all over the country side lol
For sure
Darn spellcheck........ Ethan
No worries. 😂
Auto parts store that makes car paint
You didn’t pay any attention did you. I need an exterior oil based wood paint. Not automotive which isn’t going to be oil based anyhow.......
could have done a grease zerk if you changed it to an E-clip. but its already done and it worked for 50 years without grease.
That was my thought.
