I've had to record my singing in Audacity, first and then edit in music maker. Because when I tried to record each track separately in music maker, the above track would spill into the other track and it would sound horrible. Is there a way to keep it from doing that in the future? I use Musicmaker 2015.

With musicmaker Premium 2013 I could work in the 'externe audit' to give my vocals less 'noise' and make my vocal sound clear. But in the musicmaker 2014 I can not find this link to the externe audit'. Do you know how I can make my vocals clear and without no noise in the backround?
What microphone do you use? It sounds pretty clear for the most part.

how do you make a vocal recording in an even volume? Like some parts of the song is low or gets too loud. How do I correct that? What EQ do I use?
Healingmassage100 you need to normalize the audio. That way it balances out the volume dips and such.

+MJSweetHeart3 I have never used magix for that kind of operation. Only idea I can think of is setting your output on your computer to the headphones and having it play while recording. Should be an option in the record menu.

@MJSweetHeart3 if you want to hear your vocals live while you record you will need a interface I promise you its worth it in the long run

For my basic audio recordings i use Cooleditpro 2, its not bad but it has a habit of crashing so i hit the save button often :-)
You can get some better options in mastering section. There are some presets available to survive at least.

I used the CAD for the longest, Great USB mic. But I learned the hard way that some of these programs aren't compatible with them, I ended up investing in an MXL 990, a UR-22 and a Presonus TubePre v2.
Gorgeous sound now with all of that. I can be a bit pricey, but there are certainly cheaper options.
I'm not sure if there is a way to get them to work together, but I was never able to and neither was my friend.
Compare that beautiful, elegant, and simple Music Maker Premium 16 (2010) user interface of 13 years ago too todays Music Maker Premium 2023.
MMP 2010 had 96kHz audio recording while MMP 2023 only has 48kHz max audio recording.
