As my life experience continues to grow, the more I’m adamant that one of the keys to a good life is emotional mastery. This can make or break a single day, which ultimately culminate to our lives.

I completely agree. We can't always decide how life goes, but we can always decide how we respond to it.

Nietzsche said the same thing. Going on walks alone he would cry but not of sadness of happiness cause he could summon his emotions whenever.

I agree. As a young child I had great difficulty with my emotions getting out of control. I got into a lot of fist fights. Unfortunately I always won. This fact made it even more difficult to change but, I was miserable and scared by myself.
The feeling of not being in control is very disconcerting and can be very frightening as well.
I finally decided that since fighting made me no new friends and a bunch of enemies I had to change my ways.
Interestingly I found a mentor type figure in Mr. Spock from Star Trek.
I eventually was able to wrest control away from the darker angels of my nature and find peace in an otherwise turbulent world.
God played the primary role in my transformation. I feel it's necessary to acknowledge a higher power whatever that may mean to the person trying to change.
I'm fairly happy with the man I've become and wholeheartedly wish great things for every single one of my brothers and sisters on planet earth.

From where I'm sitting, reading and hearing these words can be very satisfying and pleasant, Philosophy requires action, or what use is it, My Two Cents!

    • @OrionPhilosophy

The Stoics talked about the same thing, philosophy with no action is worth very little 👍

That is true but, before the action must come the idea.

This is why we Journal every day. And put the day up for review at the end of the day. Per Seneca.

You have no idea how much this has helped me. I’m 15 and have been in quarantine with little social interaction since March of 2020. I adjusted well and had no issues. Now that I’m in a school with 2,000 loud kids and constant drama, I’ve hard a hard time keeping my balance. This is what keeps me resolute

"You're a God walking around mortal men"--- thats how I felt with these weapons of logic and reasoning. Not caring about outcome, but effort put forth into noble deed. Focusing on only what I can influence and control in my Life and with the accord of nature. I see you happy and problem free, true Stoics move forward young Warrior!!🙏🏽👍🏽👊🏽😎

Make friends with solid people, stay away from the bad ones for trouble always comes their way. If you make just one great friend then you will be a lucky man. Consider reading the book How to win friends and influence people. It never gets old and is so simple but absolutely true. It is common sense but common sense is not common. You will be amazed if you follow only a few of the suggestions, they work immediately and without fail. You can get used copy online delivered for $4 I have bought many copies and given the copies away. I always keep one for me;) read often and it will pay dividends/)

Think of how young minds would be properly molded if teachings like this were mandatory throughout basic school. But a society that truly empowers its people cannot control them.

To everyone who is experiencing a difficult situation:
To shoot an arrow you have to pull it backwards.
So when life drags you back with some troubles, it means it's going to launch into something better.
