I own a forth gen Camaro, stalled auto also and I’m not gonna be biased about this. The better setup won...period. It’s hard to beat a stalled automatic car in the street that can hook decent and run up top. Converter cars are more forgiving out the hole even when you spin. Both cars spun a good ways the Camaro got it together faster. Once the cobra got in high gear he was pulling but it was too late. With similar power a stick car will almost always mph better up top.

LS4.8 Frank the race was won right off the line. The Camaro had the better reaction time. They both spun. The mustang spun worse. That opened up the gap wider. You can clearly see how unsettled the car got 60-100ft out. Check out the view from the Camaro camera facing backwards. It also shows the mustang letting off first. I’m not taking anything from the Camaro either it’s quick. I’m a forth gen owner. This is the fun of street racing lol. Having a better setup can level the playing field against a more powerful car was my point.

Why does everyone blame the car for winning or losing the car plays a big part but it the driver can't handle the power. Both driver's should have got tires that can handle that HP and TQ and get them sticky. Cars only take you so far you need to be able to run it otherwise wise it's just a wast I'd say put on some nice sticky tires and post another race and see what happens. And before it starts I am a mustang guy for one reason I have been around them my whole life but let's be honest the only good mustangs (excluding 66-70) 01 Cobra after recall, 03 04 cobra, 13-14 coyote, and the 13-14 gt500. Especially ls engines with a factory ecu are a piece of cake , they are so many tunes floating around on the interwebs, just plug one in ,richen up the fuel map , run safe timing and tweak it from there . If you pop a piston or bend a rod ,there's another 4.8 laying in some junkyard for another $400 .
