I'll definitely take a look. I'm getting ready to do my own yard modules so stay tuned. I am modeling the Gulf Coast like you. I'll check out your channel. I'm a bit worried about modeling swamp cypress! Haha. Any tips?

    Thanks for that website!
I found a yard somewhat within my region of future layout that could be quite interesting if I can find enough room for it

Hey Bob great work. I too have used this find about my own facilities. Here is a cool thing to look at, Port of Everett Washington. There are a few things about the entire port area that are real neat. They have a barge served container dock, that is used for Boeing at the extreme south end in Mukilteo, they also have a very small container port for ships, just now getting large gantry cranes, but still has dock cranes that doe they service. They also have an inter model yard, although it serves the trash industry, that is used. It is a really neat look at small operation. Looking forward to this series.

Thanks 👍Drew. Have postponed my Horseshoe curve trip until after the holiday weekend. Give my wife time to heal her broken ankle more as there are 168 steps to the top, and the funicular is not being used due to pandemic. Only open Friday thru Sunday so I want to be there for a Friday with train traffic - not 7/3 when things may be idle. Saw latest duo video. keep 'em coming. Have you considered using a tripod for those? So you can get in the picture?

PK & W RR - wishing for a speedy recovery on her foot. I heard about those steps. They need an incline to take people up and down. 😀 Oops, you mentioned they do have it but it is closed. Duh. Ya, I need to remember to bring the tripod. We have done that before, taking the video while we’re watching. Have a great day, Bob.

Thanks 👍. Using Anyrail for the track plan. Not as intuitive a program as I had hoped. Any advice?

There is a Kansas City Southern yard Rosenberg Yard - 11538 Gin Road, Beasley, TX 77417. It's between Rosenberg and Kendleton. I has both intermodal and vehicles. The intermodal yard is double ended next to a small four track yard and double track main line. It's nicely laid out and could easily be reduced in size, as it is approximately 1 mile. Every time I pass by this yard I consider how nice it would be to model.
Thanks for sharing the intermodal web site. That's good stuff.

Thanks Jeff Hallford I will take a look at that yard! Can't have too much info. I'm using AnyRail (I think) to lay out the trackplan. Any experience with the software you can share? I'm resisting the urge to do it the old fashioned way with paper and pencil and just get to laying track!

@@PKWModelwerx I have the free version of the software so I can only do 50 objects. I am self taught so I am not that proficient. It does keep you honest, meaning you can't on radii or limits that you set.
I don't currently have a space for a model railroad. I'm trying to modify my attic space to accommodate a layout space. I wish I could trade in some of my good looks for some $$$, lol.

There is a TH-camr (Jeremy Brown) that has three Anyrail tutorials. It's a little painful to watch, but I did pick up several tips that will save me time a frustration.

Fair criticism as far as it goes, and I appreciate criticism. But I do think the ideas presented have merit. Why not try creating a few videos yourself and see how easy it is? You might not be so quick to judge. In the mean time, I will do my best to become younger and create more interesting content. And I do thank you for the engagement and watching one of my humble efforts. Good luck with your modeling!
