I was there that day. Montjeu and El Condor Pasa were outstanding looking horses, in a class field in the paddock they really stood out and what a display they put on. I'd had a bit of ante post on Monty so was a happy man that day. Their quality is evident by the gap to the 4th placed.
Visually the greatest racehorse for me, you could argue Frankel but Frankel beat absolutely nothing until he beat St Nicholas Abbey with a very good performance.
He beat horses that barely won another race between them all. average time, getting ginned down towards the finish line by let's be honest....grp 3 horses

@garyhill294 Totally agree. That they mention Frankel and not any other horse tells you everything you need to know.
Can,t think of a flat racing horse, maybe Nijinsky under lester, that was a better true champion!!!!!!
