just saying, that the Hoeneß Family is bigger than Uli Hoeneß. And Sebastian is actually the son of Dieter Hoeneß also a great figure in German football and the brother of Uli Hoeneß. Which makes Uli Hoeneß the uncle of Sebastian. Cheers and nice topic with a lot of interesting points!
Dieter Hoeneß is also amongst the legends circle in stuttgart and was player as well as manager back in the days. The Hoeneß family is not only rooted heavily at Bayern but also Stuttgart, which both sets of fans often hesitate to admit.
Great analysis man, you pretty much summed up every little detail about vfb stuttgarts success from an objective point of view. We definitely are less efficient without Guirassy, but if you look at our last 3 bundesliga games, you'll notice that he isn't the sole reason we're 3rd.
An additional aspect to VfB Stuttgarts performance are the fans. With other traditional clubs with huge fanbases like Hamburg SV, Schalke 04, Hannover SV and Hertha Berlin SC being stuck in second divison, a lot of teams with smaller fanbases like the recently established RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim as well as some smaller clubs with small stadiums like Heidenheim or Darmstadt have taken their place. Thus, a lot of the away games the VfB Stuttgart fans are much louder and more enthusiastic than the fans of the other club, making the players feel well suported which gives them a lot of courage even on enemy ground. If you have the chance, just watch the next game against Hoffenheim, which is aprox 1 1/2 hours away from Stuttgart by car. The Hoffenheim stadium hasn´t been sold out in ages (expect for the Bayern Munich games), but this Saturday it is and the VfB fan-scene bought a lot of the seats which are supposed for Hoffenheim fans. Gonna be amazing.
It is insane to see how the VFB manages to nurture talents like Mittelstädt. They got this guy from Hertha BSC for "just" 500k €, and dont forget Enzo Millot (and Jamie Leweling who just scored 2 last 2 games!) who literally never played last season and was on the reserve or was substituted in only in the last 5 minutes, and now he is in the starting 11 every game and is doing fantastic.
You got a little excited there breaking down the forward runs lol, great video and analysis man, I'm from Stuttgart and I still can't believe what I'm seeing on the pitch every week, Sebastian Hoeneß is a god
Nice1 Ollie and big cheers from a german VfB supporter! Just stumbled over this video and that's also how I discovered your channel. Nice to see us being covered and the topic. Also very well put together and worked out regarding our tactics, roles of our players in the system. Really enjoyable watch! Best :)
Thanks for your Report, however I have to correct, Sebastian Hoeneß' father is Dieter Hoeneß who is also a German football legend playing vfb Stuttgart and Bayern München. Ulli Hoeneß is Sebastian's uncle
Firstly, Ollie, commiserations on Everton getting knocked out of the FA cup yesterday. The scrambled goal in the 96th minute led to the disaster. Stuttgart´s results haven´t been too good lately. In their last six matches, they´ve lost three, drawn one and won two. They´re currently third in the table on 37 points, with Bayern on 47 and Bayer LEV on 49. Fourth and fifth are Leipzig and Dortmund, both on 33, so it´ll be an interesting battle for third place in the course of the season. Staying with German football, what do you think of the idea of Alonso, current manager of Bayer LEV, coming to Liverpool ? I bet that Klopp will get (or has already got ) the German National Team Manger job. He´ll be a perfect fit to lead them into the next World Cup. Much less stress for him and a huge motivating factor for this struggling team under Nagelsmann. What are your thoughts ?
Don’t think that would work in his system, he would buy that clinical finisher to play alongside nkunku. Jackson doesn’t have that clinical aspect that he needs to start in a hoeneb side
@@olliecopland i think hes going to stay, they will probably play EL or CL next year and Hoeness can gain some experience to be Bayern coach after next

Yeah not great on the Everton front. Xabi seems the obvious option, but someone like Nagelsmann or even Marco Rose could be interesting shouts.
