    Nice video ! I love this shoe and have mine over 100 also . I just really enjoy going on all kinds of runs and I feel the shoe just wants to go when you get rolling . Midsole is amazing and you really feel it when you change shoes into it . Out sole has been amazing as it seems it hasn’t changed at all . Can’t wait to see what they can do next .

    Great colab! The more I hear about Novablast the more I find it similar to fuel cell propel. Maybe I am wrong but the features apparently are close: squishy midsole, extremely confortable, though not so snappy, durable and great option for easy days and long runs. I had propel, I like it and for me getting Novablast would mean taking propel out of my rotation. Nice job Ed!

    5 months later and I am back rewatching this video on the Novablast which I just hated after about 20+ miles and exchanged the shoe. I got the shoe back in early summer. It started out great for me and was responsive and quite bouncy. Even it being too large, I enjoyed the initial runs. At about the later 20 miles mark my knees always would hurt with this shoe. I wonder if it was the drop as it felt much more than 10mm to me. Fast forward 5 months and I keep thinking perhaps I didn’t really give it a shot. So with Asics having a special today for 50% off site wide for first responder, front line workers and military, I bought the Novablast again for $65 USD in a black upper and lime green midsole color way. It looks rad to me. Shoe retails $130 in 🇺🇸. Excited to go back and give this another shot in 2021.

    Excellent video guys! I really enjoyed it. I'm with Mike on the upper of the Novablast. If Asics had a US size 9.75, I would've bought the shoe. A size 10 had too much room in the toe box and a size 9.5 was too narrow and short. If it weren't for the fitting issues, this would've been my favorite Asics shoe.

I've taken it on long runs, tempo runs, recovery runs and everything in between and it performes every time. But this is just my opinion based on my running. A Novoblast from the past! Well, I got and as you know EDD the version 2 and love it. But being a sucker for a clearance sale and on top of that a 10% discount, I had to roll the dice on a shoe that is only costing me $67 plus tax. I can always use it as a casual shoe if it does not work out for me as the Novoblast 2 has.

    Same question for you and Kofuzi: how do you think the Novablast would do for a flat, road/dirt 100-mile race @8 to 11min/mile? I'm trying to find a race-day shoe for the race and am considering the Novablast for its soft cushioning and roominess. I'm not concerned about the instability. What would be your choice for a 100-miler?

    The upper is absolutely perfect. Perfect width, perfect hight over the toes, perfect padding.
    Asics DONT LISTEN to those people with narrow feet !
    The midsole is perfect EXCEPT the drop is too much. Its 10 mm but should be 6 mm to be perfect and also give it a little more stability.
    The laces sucks, but I changed to fatter laces from an old pair of Brooks.

    Edd, have you seen any specs of the adios Pro?
    I don't know what size (adidas often chooses a US Men's Size 9), but the US currently claims it's 7.9 oz or 224g and an 8.5mm drop -- not bad for a max-cushion shoe. Individual carbon rods replace a single plate -- sandwiched between two layers of LS, Celermesh upper and no-Continental rubber in the outsole is listed in the specs. The lacing system is the most versatile I've seen in an adizero.
    "Not just fast, WTFAST." 🤣🤣🤣
    That $200USD is on the rich side, for me, but it looks the part... even if that stack is bit too disco for me.

    Seems these shoes are best compatible for people with wider feet.
    @EDDBUD, certainly more roomy, compared to the New Balance TC?
    I am choosing between these two. Neutral pronator, quite wide feet, weight currently 67kg, running distances range from 5 to about 20k.
    Asics GT 2000-7 was a complete mismatch with me, all kinds of knee and ankle pains.
    Reebok Floatride Run Fast another mistmatch, blisters on left arch.
    Couldn't find suitable running shoes for over a year now.

      @@amlandutta7006 My feet roll inwards upon landing. I land with the outer side of my feet and roll inwards.
      It seems not to work well with these shoes.

    Hi I am just curious if that's only my pair of novablasts or it's common thing... just bought a pair and a foam at the back of left shoe is definitely wider and longer than in the right one... Maybe someone have the same problem?

    • @EDDBUD
      @EDDBUD  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Weird, mine seem spot on symmetrical :)

    I found the sizing a little too big as well. I really wish I would have purchased a half size down. Overall, I really enjoy the shoe.

      Thanks for sharing! Its an interesting first attempt with the foam i think. 😊👍🏃‍♂️

    Have to knock off points just because you somewhat likened the Novablast to the old Ultraboost, trust me as a avid an runner when I say "Ultraboost is definitely not a good running shoe" in fact one of the worst imo

    • @EDDBUD
      @EDDBUD  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve run loads of miles in boost shoes and they are fine. I ran a half marathon in the new one and was no worse for wear. Remember not all runners want the same things as you in a shoe. Boost is a durable material that some heavier built runners find works exceptionally well for them.

      @@EDDBUD I tried a few earlier versions of the Ultraboost due to the "best running shoe" hype but after a few runs i immediately realised Ultraboost is all hype and not much substance (in my practical running experience), that being said we are now bleesed with many fantastic running shoes on the market even for heavy runner's that leave Ultraboost in the last resort category... Nike Invincible, Hoka Mach 4 or New Balance More v3 are much better options to consider for heavier runner's, I'm considering buying a pair of Novablast 2 for my rotation but overall I appreciate your opinion guys and look forward to more future reviews/collabs

    I had thought the shoe is designed for heavy weight runners such as body builders or American footballers.
