A Daesang isn’t just an award, it’s the GRAND award. Artist/Album of the year would be considered Daesangs. In an award show, they announce the daesangs last. It the type of awards that make artist cry if they win it and theres usually dramatic music during the winning speech and EVERYTHING. Yeah it’s a pretty big deal.
The ones that gives hate bts the most are exols (fans of exo) blinks (fans of blackpink) and Vips (fans of bigbang), yes im pointing fingers so that if you find an exo or any other of that fandom of these that ask you to react to their faves stuff youll remember this and see why kpop community is so toxic, those fandoms many times use the victim card so im telling you so you dont trust them, not all are bad fans but the bad ones are really hypocrite people, so be aware of that. Army also have bad fans but we havent done anything like they used to do and still do sometimes to our group, they have humilliated BTS and army every chance thet get and attack us just for breathing. Also the daesang are like the biggest thing in korea, not like a grammy but is really big and usually only big 3 companies (SM, YG and the other) got them, thats why when BTS started getting them (not being part of the big 3, a group from a small company for the first time take them from those 3) they got a lot of hate frome those company fans exols, vips and blinks are fans from those companies. *sorry if i have grammar mistakes, im not a native english speaker*

I suggest after watching "Ddang" you check out DKDKTV's explanation video where he explains the meanings behind what the song is saying. Actually, DKDKTV did an awesome job of explaining "Idol" as well. Like you, I read the comments (especially in reaction videos) to learn more details about something I've watched. Twitter is vicious. Most of the hate comes from exo-ls and there are many threads containing comments with 1K+ likes to 15K on Twitter with targeted hate towards BTS.
I saw a thread with 50k likes where kpopies started downgrading bts every single archievment by saying their favs did it first or shit like that it was started by a vip but exols helped blowing it up😔

I just rewatched it and noticed how often they switched to the fans!! It was kinda annoying because while they were performing and doing their amazing choreography, it was missed because a group of people singing were on the screen instead 😭 I honestly did not even notice at first because I feel like a lot of american concerts that are broadcasted do that.

I hate that thing still today. EXO is undoubtedly a great group of artists. But they were from one of biggest companies. So their company have the power to spread their music and popularity. Winning a daesang was kinda easy ( in comparison with BTS,I am not disrespecting their efforts and talent). Haters also helped BTS gaining attention. They spread so much hate that people who didnt know that there is something called BTS existed got to know about them and became an ARMY 🤣 🤣

For the most part, the hate comes from the fans rather than the groups itself. The main group that BTS rivals are actually pretty close to one another but the fan bases just have heat between them. This is between BTS and EXO, but we don't like mentioning the name because we have nothing against EXO nor the fanbase in general. But there has been some tension between the people who try to put one of the other downs. Edit: Also, I really hope you didn't actually break your computer for this reaction.
The Mexinese Family Overrall, ARMYs are nice, but there are few people who claim to be fans and follow BTS message but they can be rude and disrespectful and those are the people who have given the ARMY fan base a bad reputation in the kpop community.
While there were a lot of comments from Exo-l's please keep in mind that not every Exo-l or Nctzen is like those people. As an ARMY who sees people often generalizing our fandom because of a few bad eggs on Twitter, (I stg Twitter's just a place that the worst people go to vent these days it's kind of sad.) I think it's good to remember not to judge certain fandoms based on the handful of shitty people in them. I know some lovely Exo-l's who actually acknowledge BTS' achievements, and although they have a picky taste in music they're very respectful of other groups and never put them down. I just think it's good to extend that courtesy onto others.

The thing about BBMA's camera work was because it looked like they just wanted to show how many fans BTS had, and just wanted the attention because of numbers (since we're so many, that's a lot of audience), not because BTS is talented as hell. That pissed us off really bad. It was a disrespect against their hard work, BBMA's stage didn't even deserve to have such humble boys there, and they were so grateful and happy anyways. I really love them for that.

Yes, there is a certain fandom we have a really hard time with & there are a few other fandoms that tag along in the hate. Fandoms mostly from the big 3 (which no longer exist as of late). There has been a lot of pain in our fandom for many years & we never cared if it was us they were hurting, as long as it never reached the boys, but it always did, which hurt us even more. The boys knew we were hurting which hurt them & we knew they were hurting which hurt us. 2 or 3 years ago as they were talking to us on vlive they said "you can hate us, but you can't hate our ARMY", & we reciprocated with "you can hate us, but you can't hate Bangtan". Eventually at 2017 MAMA, in RM's acceptance speech he said "Thank you to Army we're no longer sad or in pain, we're confident & proud". They continuously tell us (a lot more recently) to trust them & that it's us & them no matter if anybody likes them or their music bc as long as ARMY like it & continue to stay by their side they're happy & can go on. We've struggled together, we've made things happen together, we've become happy together and now we just continue on together as always bc this bond is too unique, too connected to never not be BTS & ARMY. I always say, as much as ARMY love BTS, BTS love ARMY just as much 💜 You have no idea how many times they tell us "I miss you, I wanted to come share my feelings" "I've had some drinks & I can't stop thinking of you" "I can't sleep & thought I should come chat till I fall asleep" "I love you" & they mean it all, we're not delulus, the majority of us are grown adults with careers, you can't fake being genuine & humble. We'll all grow old but we'll always keep each other in our hearts bc of what we've done for each other. DAE = Big SANG = Award. So a Daesang is the grand prize usually for main categories like Song/Album/Artist of the year. And there are multiple music award events in Korea/Asia such as Melon Music Awards (MMA), MAMA, KMA etc etc etc. and each award show has a Daesang at the end.

There's usually a daesang for best artist, best song, and best album. bts has won best artist for three years in a row, and they were the first group not from one of the big 3 companies to do so. You should react to mama 2016 where they perform blood sweat & tears and fire, but you should watch fire mv first. Regardless of who specifically the haters are... at this point of BTS's career it is IRRELEVANT to know. BTS has done something phenomenal to the MUSIC INDUSTRY. Less focus on the haters more on celebrating achievements and giving more support to our boys.
Ok, so basically it started out with one fan base not liking bts. And that, plus a lot of other unfair treatment made ARMY very defensive. Which started to piss other fanbases off. So, it was kinda ARMY against all at one point. Now it's mostly the 'toxic fans ' that argue since the fanbases on all sides have calmed down, but sometimes others do still get annoyed with ARMY because of army being too enthusiastic, new army not knowing anything about k-pop and just claiming random stuff, and other people just assuming k-pop means BTS and gangnamstyle. Also, deasangs (pretty sure I misspelled that) are major awards. They are mostly artist of the year, song of the year etc.

The ‘bangtan subs’ channel is a channel that was made by fans who thankfully upload the bangtan bombs with subs) Bighit does not copyright official bts content like the things I listed above because they see reaction videos as a chance to get feedback from fans and bts enjoys watching them in their free time. They might claim any money you get from reacting to bts’ music since under copyright laws, the music rightfully belongs to bts but they won’t take down the video and your channel won’t get a strike :)

kpop fans are a joke for us 😂 its literally bts and army vs all of them😂😂😂 kpop fans are mad at bts because they outsold their favorites groups (in every aspect) but since their debut bts have been hated by kpop fan community and kpop fans always bullied army (when it was a small fandom) everything changed after 2015 when bts fame started rising very fast and after 2016 army stop being quiet and started to clap back to haters shut them their mouths up , after army started protecting bts from antis kpop fans started saying army is the most toxic fandom and even " kicked us from kpop fan community along with bts " 😂😂😂 that was hilarious army even help to trend their hashtags on Twitter since we don't care about them and we take over the hashtag in a funny way we troll them 😅😂, army only supports bts and we only have each other (bts and army had been each others support since the beginning ) while others trend hate hastaghs against them 😢 bts did not have brother groups in their agency until this year (a few days ago they debuted ) other companies debut 2 or 3 groups at year so their artists support each other, when army saw bts interactions with their brother group (both under big hit) army's heart broke because we realice how lonely they feel in that industry during their debut years💔 and they always showed admiration for artists from other companies and nobody talked to them, no even once,😢 💔and they (the artists, the media, and some koreans. ignored them for some years) this is because of the influence of big companies they have control of the media, bts did not gain many fans soon after their debut because they were cut off from award shows or were not invited to entertainment programs they did not get enough exposure many of us (army's) knew about them 3/4 years after their debut ...😫💔
Simply put, daesang is the grand prize of an award show. The highest ones of the other awards presented at the show. Some has 3 (artist of the year, song, album) you got the gist
Daesang (grand prize) is basically an award such as Artist of the year or song of the year, it's an important one and Bts got a lot of hate for winning them since 2016 because other fandoms didn't think they were "deserving" enough, there was a lot of hate that affected them personally and they talked about it through some songs. But the important thing is that bts aren't bitter about it, they believe that because it was so hard they now have all this support. They are the most humble artists you'll even meet. And to be honest ALL kpop fans want their group to have western validation, even their faves stated that they want western validation, they might not say it but they want it. They wouldn't otherwise have all those collaborations with western artists, or aim for a billboard spot. Bts doesn't really have a competition among the kpop scene at this point, their competition are the artists in the west, BTS took second place on the IFPI’s top ten, surpassing ed Sheeran ,Post Malone, Eminem and other mainstream artists. Oh and we don't like that bbams live performance because their camera work was horrible, they kept showing the crowd and missed a lot of great dance moves, you'll notice that the way America films and the way Korea award shows film are so different. In Korea they are used to filming kpop groups with choreography and they know how to capture their dance moves but at the same time they focus on their facial expressions as well, the emotion showed through facial expression are important as well. We don't appreciate them showing the crowd.
They sold out Wembley twice in under 2 hours for both days,the first day 250k armys were waiting in the queue to buy tickets for the wembley stadium concert, they really sold out 150k (only 150k compares to 180k because seats behind the stage were not allowed to be sold) tickets as a korean band doing a concert in the UK, their impact wow.
A daesang is basically like a grammy for kpop idols. I, to be honest, think that most, NOT ALL, exo and blackpink fans hate on army’s and BTS the most, but that doesn’t mean all of them do. I’ve met some really nice exo-ls in my life, but I’ve run into more haters than nice people, sadly. :( Please don’t declare anyone enemies, though! The big3 companies are YG, SK, and JYP.

A Daesang isn’t just an award, it’s the GRAND award. Artist/Album of the year would be considered Daesangs. In an award show, they announce the daesangs last. It the type of awards that make artist cry if they win it and theres usually dramatic music during the winning speech and EVERYTHING. Yeah it’s a pretty big deal.
The ones that gives hate bts the most are exols (fans of exo) blinks (fans of blackpink) and Vips (fans of bigbang), yes im pointing fingers so that if you find an exo or any other of that fandom of these that ask you to react to their faves stuff youll remember this and see why kpop community is so toxic, those fandoms many times use the victim card so im telling you so you dont trust them, not all are bad fans but the bad ones are really hypocrite people, so be aware of that.

Thank you for this video 💜 Honestly, ARMYs are often accused by k-popies saying that we are toxic fandom, the worst fandom, etc. You know, bts has 18.7+ followers on twt make them the most followed K-act, and for sure make them known for the most powerful fandom. You cant expect 18.7+ M armys to have the same personalities, right? But, what i wanna point here is there are more mature and nice armys everywhere. I can say this confidently, our fandom is nicest than other. We know how to behave. We know how to chill with non fan/gp. We respect each other. If you being nice to bts and army you'll get x2 more than you give. We are so supportive and open minded as long as you dont shit to us.
Armys are so diverse, we are not only teen or 12 y/o kids only as other think about us, nope, you can found grandpas and grandmas, from 70 to baby. We also always make a charity or other event in every bts birthday. All those charity and event will be submited in the name of the member. And the member of bts also usually make a charity in the name of armys. I cant even put this kind of relationship into words. BTSxARMYs is more than just IDOLxFANs, we are more than that.

For the most part, the hate comes from the fans rather than the groups itself. The main group that BTS rivals are actually pretty close to one another but the fan bases just have heat between them. This is between BTS and EXO, but we don't like mentioning the name because we have nothing against EXO nor the fanbase in general. But there has been some tension between the people who try to put one of the other downs.

As an ARMY who sees people often generalizing our fandom because of a few bad eggs on Twitter, (I stg Twitter's just a place that the worst people go to vent these days it's kind of sad.) I think it's good to remember not to judge certain fandoms based on the handful of shitty people in them. I know some lovely Exo-l's who actually acknowledge BTS' achievements, and although they have a picky taste in music they're very respectful of other groups and never put them down. I just think it's good to extend that courtesy onto others.
The disrespect and hate! 😔 ugh, I feel sorry for those haters. They're missing out, and they try to belittle BTS so their group will seem better? The thing about BBMA's camera work was because it looked like they just wanted to show how many fans BTS had, and just wanted the attention because of numbers (since we're so many, that's a lot of audience), not because BTS is talented as hell. That pissed us off really bad. It was a disrespect against their hard work, BBMA's stage didn't even deserve to have such humble boys there, and they were so grateful and happy anyways. I really love them for that.

Yes, there is a certain fandom we have a really hard time with & there are a few other fandoms that tag along in the hate. Fandoms mostly from the big 3 (which no longer exist as of late). There has been a lot of pain in our fandom for many years & we never cared if it was us they were hurting, as long as it never reached the boys, but it always did, which hurt us even more. The boys knew we were hurting which hurt them & we knew they were hurting which hurt us. 2 or 3 years ago as they were talking to us on vlive they said "you can hate us, but you can't hate our ARMY", & we reciprocated with "you can hate us, but you can't hate Bangtan". Eventually at 2017 MAMA, in RM's acceptance speech he said "Thank you to Army we're no longer sad or in pain, we're confident & proud". They continuously tell us (a lot more recently) to trust them & that it's us & them no matter if anybody likes them or their music bc as long as ARMY like it & continue to stay by their side they're happy & can go on. We've struggled together, we've made things happen together, we've become happy together and now we just continue on together as always bc this bond is too unique, too connected to never not be BTS & ARMY. I always say, as much as ARMY love BTS, BTS love ARMY just as much 💜 You have no idea how many times they tell us "I miss you, I wanted to come share my feelings" "I've had some drinks & I can't stop thinking of you" "I can't sleep & thought I should come chat till I fall asleep" "I love you" & they mean it all, we're not delulus, the majority of us are grown adults with careers, you can't fake being genuine & humble. We'll all grow old but we'll always keep each other in our hearts bc of what we've done for each other. As a graphic designer, it was a very fascinating process to witness. BTS' new logo and brand won an award at 2018 iF Design Award in Germany. The iF Design Award is considered one of the world’s top three design awards alongside Germany’s Reddot Design Award and America’s IDEA.

A daesang is a grand prize in korea, it's the biggest award of the night. There's usually a daesang for best artist, best song, and best album. bts has won best artist for three years in a row, and they were the first group not from one of the big 3 companies to do so. You should react to mama 2016 where they perform blood sweat & tears and fire, but you should watch fire mv first. This is also a good performance to show your friend! thanks for giving bts a chance :)

Regardless of who specifically the haters are... at this point of BTS's career it is IRRELEVANT to know. BTS has done something phenomenal to the MUSIC INDUSTRY. Less focus on the haters more on celebrating achievements and giving more support to our boys.

Ok, so basically it started out with one fan base not liking bts. And that, plus a lot of other unfair treatment made ARMY very defensive.
Which started to piss other fanbases off. So, it was kinda ARMY against all at one point.
Now it's mostly the 'toxic fans ' that argue since the fanbases on all sides have calmed down, but sometimes others do still get annoyed with ARMY because of army being too enthusiastic, new army not knowing anything about k-pop and just claiming random stuff, and other people just assuming k-pop means BTS and gangnamstyle.
Also, deasangs (pretty sure I misspelled that) are major awards. They are mostly artist of the year, song of the year etc.

honestly? everyone hates us (armys) and they end up hating on bts because of it lmao. some people also hate bts even if they did nothing wrong just because they're bitter, but oh well. the thing with armys is that we're very honest. we say it how it is. people don't like to have facts thrown at their faces, and that's what we do ksdjsk. we always have proof to show how what we're saying is the truth.

I am ARMY Indonesia, honestly in my country there are four big fandoms that are always in conflict, two from girl groups, and two from boy groups, maybe you know who I mean. but the fact is that EXOL fandom is evil, they are always looking for faults with BTS and ARMY. moreover every BTS has a new achievement and record, a bad post will emerge. actually sorry for seeing them frustrated because their idols are no longer productive. while BTS are increasingly flying high and achieving with the works they make. if they want to reflect, why can BTS be as successful now ??? The ‘bangtan subs’ channel is a channel that was made by fans who thankfully upload the bangtan bombs with subs) Bighit does not copyright official bts content like the things I listed above because they see reaction videos as a chance to get feedback from fans and bts enjoys watching them in their free time. They might claim any money you get from reacting to bts’ music since under copyright laws, the music rightfully belongs to bts but they won’t take down the video and your channel won’t get a strike :)

Fact: when BTS held love yourself Tour in Singapore national stadium they even rented another whole dome stadium as a waiting area for ARMYs where other kpop groups held their concerts to.
kpop fans are a joke for us 😂 its literally bts and army vs all of them😂😂😂 kpop fans are mad at bts because they outsold their favorites groups (in every aspect) but since their debut bts have been hated by kpop fan community and kpop fans always bullied army (when it was a small fandom) everything changed after 2015 when bts fame started rising very fast and after 2016 army stop being quiet and started to clap back to haters shut them their mouths up , after army started protecting bts from antis kpop fans started saying army is the most toxic fandom and even " kicked us from kpop fan community along with bts " 😂😂😂 that was hilarious army even help to trend their hashtags on Twitter since we don't care about them and we take over the hashtag in a funny way we troll them 😅😂, army only supports bts and we only have each other (bts and army had been each others support since the beginning ) while others trend hate hastaghs against them 😢
bts did not have brother groups in their agency until this year (a few days ago they debuted )
other companies debut 2 or 3 groups at year so their artists support each other,
when army saw bts interactions with their brother group (both under big hit) army's heart broke because we realice how lonely they feel in that industry during their debut years💔 and they always showed admiration for artists from other companies and nobody talked to them, no even once,😢 💔and they (the artists, the media, and some koreans. ignored them for some years) this is because of the influence of big companies they have control of the media, bts did not gain many fans soon after their debut because they were cut off from award shows or were not invited to entertainment programs they did not get enough exposure many of us (army's) knew about them 3/4 years after their debut ...😫💔

Daesang (grand prize) is basically an award such as Artist of the year or song of the year, it's an important one and Bts got a lot of hate for winning them since 2016 because other fandoms didn't think they were "deserving" enough, there was a lot of hate that affected them personally and they talked about it through some songs.
But the important thing is that bts aren't bitter about it, they believe that because it was so hard they now have all this support. They are the most humble artists you'll even meet.
And to be honest ALL kpop fans want their group to have western validation, even their faves stated that they want western validation, they might not say it but they want it.
They wouldn't otherwise have all those collaborations with western artists, or aim for a billboard spot.
Bts doesn't really have a competition among the kpop scene at this point, their competition are the artists in the west, BTS took second place on the IFPI’s top ten, surpassing ed Sheeran ,Post Malone, Eminem and other mainstream artists.
Oh and we don't like that bbams live performance because their camera work was horrible, they kept showing the crowd and missed a lot of great dance moves, you'll notice that the way America films and the way Korea award shows film are so different.
In Korea they are used to filming kpop groups with choreography and they know how to capture their dance moves but at the same time they focus on their facial expressions as well, the emotion showed through facial expression are important as well.
We don't appreciate them showing the crowd.
They sold out Wembley twice in under 2 hours for both days,the first day 250k armys were waiting in the queue to buy tickets for the wembley stadium concert, they really sold out 150k (only 150k compares to 180k because seats behind the stage were not allowed to be sold) tickets as a korean band doing a concert in the UK, their impact wow.
A daesang is basically like a grammy for kpop idols. I, to be honest, think that most, NOT ALL, exo and blackpink fans hate on army’s and BTS the most, but that doesn’t mean all of them do. I’ve met some really nice exo-ls in my life, but I’ve run into more haters than nice people, sadly. :( Please don’t declare anyone enemies, though! The big3 companies are YG, SK, and JYP.
