Such a mess, so sad after everything else the people of Kefalonia have to contend with.

Blimey, it looks like a tsunami hit. Good luck with the rebuild.

Again, why building something in an unsafe area like Foki? Greece.

why people even build houses in America then? There are huge hurricanes every year. Thats extremely unsafe. Also this phenomenon is extremely rare in Greece. Stuff like this can happen everywhere

Potatoes and Trucks I am not criticizing the buildings in Greece, compared to the cardboard boxes in the US they are strong and safe stone build. Ianos showed this, but to build a restaurant in such an unsafe area is a step too far. It reminds me on Athens, where houses in Alimos are build on former river beds. With catastrophically results at heavy rainfall. I live in Austria, were we had the same problems because licenses were delivered by the local mayor in the past, until the river flooded these houses due to heavy rainfall. You will no longer get any license to build a house in such an area or a mountain area with avalanche danger.

What a moron comment! I wonder how many years this restaurant has been in this spot without any issues. We've been going to Greece for the last 40yrs and never heard of a Midecane.

@@MKocharHockey It´s written Medicane. And 40 years are nothing. I´m doing business since 1975 in Greece and know what I´m talking about. What I am trying to say is the following: time gives no security. For the last 100 years nothing happened in my neighborhood, nobody could even remember hearing people say that someting happened. Until the avalanche came down one day in winter 5 years ago and destroyed a house. Nobody was injured. But as a result, nobody will ever get a license again to build in that area. Same should apply for Greece. Try to understand what is written.
