11.6 is super respectable, especially considering it's 100k mile bike! WOW! :D These bikes are made to go 80k without any serious service, but you have to have a real unicorn to get to this level, too often they fall into the hands of ultimate destroyers...young dudes...and they're clapped out, disrespected, and thrashed to an inch of their life, it's sad 😢
Certainly, I don't get to ride this bike much, and am not great at launches, so this what what I could make happen in the few runs I got in. Unfortunately this dragstrip has been demolished and replaced with apartments, so I'm done drag racing. Nearest quarter mile track is 3 hours each way.
@@7x779 Yes, it has the gear driven cams. Curb weight of the stock bike is 525 pounds, I meant to get this one on a scale and see what it weighed, but didn't. The drag strip's scale was not on at the time. The bike had a weight saving aftermarket exhaust, but also had a luggage rack, so figure about even. The fuel gauge looked about half full by the video. Rider with gear would be around 175 pounds. Take away 18 pounds for the missing fuel and you have a rough total weight of 682 pounds.
He missed a few mods: Two Brothers full exhaust, Ohlins rear suspension, Sargent seat, Helibars, Garmin Zumo GPS and mount, heated grips, RAM Mount for phone, volt meter, USB ports, Givi rack system (side cases and top case, although the cases were removed for the drag strip), MOSFET regulator/rectifier with improved wiring, Stottoiler touring chain oiler, accessory fuse block, lowered foot pegs for touring comfort. The previous owner supposedly had the front forks "reworked," but I don't know what that included and it was 87,000 miles ago.
I have a v65 magna, currently in search of a 98-01 vfr800. So glad to find other people that have love for the v4 bikes!
did you ever get a VFR800?
The SM58 taped to the rear of the bike got a good laugh out of me! Creative.
that was incredible
Fantastic! Ive got a 98 myself, very good bike. I have a wolf undertail exhaust

Excellent! Well done.
Left quite a bit on the table I'd say. I manages a 1.9 second 60ft on my z400.

@Daschickenify sorry to hear that man. My local track was just auctioned off.
About the same as the Hornet 600, but Hornet is a little bit faster off the line
Clean bike dude, I just got a 99, what do you have done to yours?
This is also a 99', mods listed in description, mostly set up for touring but has a two brothers full exhaust. Thanks for the sub!
@@Daschickenify is that still a Gear Drive cam? Do you know what the curb weight of the bike was?
