I invested in bonds. At that time, i do not know what to do with my money and i do not want to put in the bank for the very low interest. So while i am trying to figure out and learning about other passive income opportunities, i put the money in bonds to at least get some interest. Anway, during the journey to put my money into bonds, i did also learn more about bonds.

Thanks for the vid. As interest rate cuts, have you thought of investing in US Treasury and Corporate bonds like LQD vs IEI vs TLT? According to The Intelligent Investor, Ben Graham advise to have both; this is also on top of their 401k which is our CPF. So as you mentioned here not having bonds due to already having CPF can have a deeper dive?

Great Video Kelvin! From a previous video that I saw, Are you able to explain on the power of compounding. It seems easy to grasp the concept, but when u mention being paid dividends and buying stocks and holding them forever, how does the power of compounding have a play in this? Any example?
hi Kelvin, if someone sells the bond market (before maturity), does someone actually have to buy it off the secondary market or it will be traded at the prevailing market value (just like share price)? Thanks!
you say your CPF is your bond holding.. but dont forget, you use it entirely to pay off your housing and monthly mortgage. so do you really have a bond holding?
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting but you’re using your CPF to pay off your monthly mortgage while at the same time using the $ amt to invest. Hence you’re more in equities, not bonds (nothing wrong but that’s a fact).
I don't really trust fund managers with my money. Their fees are high and i've never seen a fund manager who can consistently beat the S&P500 over the long term.

Hi Kelvin, very good video. Is bond better than endowment plan in terms of stability, return and flexibility?
Bond can let go anytime without penalty, endowment plan will alot if terminate early

Not entirely, i only use part of OA to pay. There's still OA remaining and SA
