@@Klyce Nah man, it’s getting progressively worse lol. There were always people who weren’t willing to learn, refuse to pick up slack and only wanted to do ad clear. Because RON is soooo easy it’s allowed lazy people to be even lazier for an entire raid. Since 3/4 encounters have most of the rolls as ad clear, it’s just made it so NO ONE has to learn any mechanics.
I agree that seeing at least one of these videos get MOTW is 100% deserved, with how much effort goes into them and how good they are, but I don't think it's a very realistic option. IDK if Bungie puts stuff that swears as often as these do as MOTW. Bullshit, I know, but it wouldn't surprise me if they try to keep up some appearances, especially when talking about a game with a T rating.

You get people who don't know the terminology and joined on accident, people who only know add clear and think that means they "KWTD" and then struggle at planets (which requires more than two people to engage with a mechanic), people who "add clear" but cant do it for shit. And then the very sensible people who decide they don't want to deal with this shit anymore and bail on a lost cause. - Kudos to Skeletor for actually trying for a second there. I’m not gonna lie …..this is the best explanation I’ve ever seen of how to do a mechanic in the raid. Your videos of skeletor are immense your so funny
I checked the time stamps. The explanation starts at 1:40 and ends at 2:23. Skeletor explained this entire encounter in 43 seconds. That was faster that it takes Rick Khackis to finish his god damned intro. He’d need 20 minutes to explain the fucking encounter and you’d still be confused at the end.
Tom Christie really needs to do more raid explaining like this. How he explained it was extremely easy to understand and it took less than a minute! I'm a visual learner, so having guides in this format really helped me. He really got to the point and didn't leave anything out! Please do more of these for those who learn visually in the Destiny Community!!!

And when TH-camrs do it's a whole fucking hour long and I just can't do that. I can't. I need pictures and diagrams like you just showed and now I can finally do it. It makes things quicker to explain, and easier to understand, because my artist brain memorized all the positions and shapes and the pattern of the mechanic. Where as before I just saw chaos...utter chaos

@@NXDH927 I strongly believe left-top-right (so directional) callouts are superior as you can always in panic orient yourself and SEE what location the planet is at. Left is left, etc. Nothing wrong with numbers either tbh, but they rely on everyone knowing and agreeing on what planets are what. If in panic you forget the numbers there is very little hope you can recover it. But thas just my take on it. Use what you want.
@nietcool To each their own. My team runs numbers and we know our partners so we simply call a number switch sides and as skelator said DUNK and stay. Makes this encounter relatively easy.
I have left fireteams in that exact way. People are arguing over things that are really not that hard. Instead of pushing through for another 2 hrs on the same encounter, i just leave. I find a new group in like 15 20 mins, then beat the encounter in 20 mins. It's wild how people complicate some of these raids
I don't even play destiny 2 anymore (I got it when it had a cost, dropped off when DLC cost roughly the same price with more content then the base game) Why am I binging these?

This is the only encounter that I ad clear cuz for some reason people cannot read from left to right, instead they insist we read clockwise on left and counterclockwise on right. I'm sorry but the Datto way is just bad and I don't care for the 10 different variants of his strat.
As a solo player, this has me feeling so mixed. I love it because it's a great commentary, but it also shows what turns me off from not just raiding, but anything that makes me have to find people to play with. If you aren't there, day one, learning everything along with the community, you'll never learn. Sure there are sherpas and such, but it's not reliable and even those can have people that make the experience awful. I see the comments on here about how great and concise the explanation of the mechanics are, but this didn't teach me because that's not how I learn. I get more understand by actually doing it in the game than any direction, visual or aural, you can give me. And the farther out from the launch of something, the less people are willing to give others time to learn. That's why I solo dungeons. It's why I solo everything that is possible to solo in this game. Y'all think there is only one way to do things and you feel the need to get stuff done so fast, I don't think y'all realize how much you push people away and contribute to the low percentage of people that do the end game content. And this is not to say Bungie doesn't have some dirt on their hands either when they do nothing in the game help them learn either, but that's for another comment. But this video encapsulates so much of why so many of us other players leave you all alone in the raids.
