Please share your favourite tips or tutorials for this game with me, because I was LOST! If you wanna check out my reaction to the cinematics make sure to check that out here: th-cam.com/video/uqzszQZDOZs/w-d-xo.html
You played this the day Fade came out lmao
I feel you should ask a member of your community to jump in a custom game with you.
Teach you some mechanics and go into some games with you.
The best turorial channel probably are gameleap and valorant pro guides. Sena does a great job in explaining the game too
I don't really have a specific guide, but a video on characters abilities should be helpful just so you can understand who does what.
Overwatch is way more complicated you’re just more used to it. They both take thousands of hours to get good at but valorant is easier abilities wise. Gunplay and movement is way more complicated in valorant though
Valo was my first fps so I was even nore confused, but after playing for a year, watching this brought up some funny memories. I didn't know you could walk so I would crouch everywhere to not make noise, I was so slow to turn around, I only used an ares then I only used a specter, I didn't know how to control my skye flashes, it was great
LOL thank you for making me feel less alone 😂
same, still learning fps fundamental, been playing for month now, seriously stressed, feel like gonna stop, always flame me, but i still want to play lil bit, just because i really like the characters, lmao
@@arifarrafi3302 Damn, that sucks, usually people stop after you say you're new, if it helps you can mute team voice or chat
@@abrawolf i dont know, i think its because im playing at SEA server, yknow, Asians like us tend to be uhh, more so NOT newbie friendly
Same bro... i just felt lost
wow dude that video is hilarious! i feel like i was kind of like this when i started the game bcuz it was my first comp mutliplayer game ever and now i'm diamond hope we'll see you grind the game too and join us in the game!
Glad I wasn't the only one confused at the start! Hoefully this gave a lot of you a good laugh 😂 and thank you, I appreciate that!
d-d-diamond???
wow I'm shit
this is my 12th multiplayer comp game and im silver, very epic
Me with 300 hours in rainbow six siege and still silver :(
26:48 i died of laugh twice for that Neon right there 🤭
I immediately went to the comments to see if someone noticed it too lmao
Wait lmao where is she looking
Wait what happened?!
@@ChocolateKieran you can see her basically looking at the wall like 5 seconds before she died. I'm the phoenix and i never noticed it at the time lol
@@rambujam she probably went afk lmao
as some who also plays overwatch on controller, playing and understanding valorant was very confusing but if you watch people on youtube or twitch play the game, you start to get a sense of the game, the characters and their abilities. i was ass bcuz ive never played on mouse and keyboard but now its one of my favorite games. i main reyna and sage.
We are the same! Hahaha, I'm gonna start watching people play to understand whats going on, thank you and hope you enjoyed the video 😁
@@ChocolateKieran check out guys like flights, average Jonas, flexinja who are guys that are good but also show off how fun the game can be
@@Alex3713 yeah but i think it will be better if he find a channel just talking about how the game works i guess
Personally I've been playing league for a very long time in high ranks and tried Valorant first time when it was a Beta version, nobody knew what to do in game and we all played pretty much like you. Keep it up, love the content.
That’s extremely comforting! Thank you 😂 I appreciate the kind words too!
nah, majority of people came from cs:go and they knew what they were doing
i love this boi, hope he gets good in the game
I actually really appreciate that, thank you so much!
@@ChocolateKieran OH MY GOD HE REPLIED! LETS GOO!!! what a morning rush HAHAHAH thanks for making my evening mate! love from the Philippines
As someone who played VALORANT as my first PC FPS this brings back memories of when I first started playing, and even though I didn't know who you were before the VALORANT cinematics video, I hope to see some more valorant content and even maybe catch a few streams of yours!
Edit: Also wanna mention I love how wholesome you are, since a lot of people in the mid ranks where I'm at are really toxic. Can safely say you have a great community because of who you are!
same i got placed in iron 2. now in immo but damn it was a hella journey
it's so cute watching you playyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! love from the Philippines ❤
Thank you!!! Love form the UK ❤️
The devs really just ported like 60 dollars onto your account damn I’m jealous
Damn thats $60 worth?! They're SO nice!
Wait how did u get that
*i requiere more of this for my own entretainment*
I will see what I can do 😂
Love your Valorant videos!! Please do more ❤️ I was also super confused when I first started playing but the fastest way to learn the game is just to keep playing a lot and have someone there to teach you the game
12:45 Kieran Says “lemme run that back” PHEONIX’S ULT IS CALLED RUN IT BACK, he’s making puns without even knowing
Or did I know?! 👀 ... Nah that was probably a coincidence LOL
YESS i was waiting for this one!! I was og a valo player but ur commentary abt overwatch actually got me into it!! super fun game
Play more and you'll be better day by day! Honestly, you're pretty good as a beginner already
I genuinely expected you lot to roast me (whihc I don't mind) but you're all too nice 😭 thank you ❤️
@@ChocolateKieran nah only in game people ate toxic
I just played Valorant from the past month and i actually picked it up pretty good, i was super interested in Astra, i end up trying her and i was just as confused lol, anyways i'm currently addicted to Valorant, I'd say i'm pretty decent, a good asset to the team and my go to agents at the meantime is Viper, Killjoy, and Astra, even though there are much better controller in the game, Astra is just soo much fun
Oh hey, hi-five for also being in the sad club of "started playing Astra like two weeks after she was nerfed into the bottom of the roster".
I still love playing her though.
love u bro, i know valorant for a while but watching you makes me feel like a first time meeting this game, u make smile so much thank you very much, hope u have a good day
Much love to you! Comments like these make my day! Thank you so much, you have a good day too 😁
Man you just have such a good vibe cheers to you man have a great day!
YOU have a great day! Just had an asshole comment on another video so you just made my day way better! I appreciate that 😁
Absolutely amazing content! This is the kind of stuff people like too see. Also this is so cool to watch because I just started playing a few months ago so I’m kind of bad too
I love when chat is so chaotic and only 3 out of 10 people are telling the right thing 😂😂
This is why I call them degenerates LOL
I’ve been waiting so long for this!!!!
Valorant was my first FPS, So ofcourse i was pretty shit at the beginning. My map sense was trash af. Now I could say im pretty decent. My main would be raze, but I get more game wins when I play Sova and Sage
Its TOUGH! But I respect you grinded and learned! Hopefully I can join you in becoming decent haha
Im at the shit at the beginning stage
Havent watched the video yet but I already clicked like cuz I know its about to be hilarious lmao, as long as you have fun, go do your thing fam. You having fun is the first reason why I subscribed to you and seeing you having fun is relaxing
You’re a whole legend! Honestly that’s what I’m here for too, I expected some roasting but honestly you all have understood the vibe and are having fun with me figuring things out and just enjoying the ride, so I appreciate that A LOT!
I love how the way you played reminded me of how I first started XD. Please keep playing you really make good content for Valorant! (Btw if you want to see something cool you should try Astra again in the practice range, go to the other island, use her ult on the first island and then see how huge her ultimate is
This was so fun to watch! It reminded me of myself when I just started playing this game, only you're way better than I was since Valorant's my first FPS game haha
I started watching this dude a few mins and his already my fav valo new coming yter😭😭😭
Yoooo, thank you! I appreciate that 😭
I hope we get more Val content! I love your vids
It’s so awesome that you’re playing Val now!
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed it 😁
This video cause on me a nostalgia sensation remembering when I was a little brat at this game. This was my first vídeo at your chanel such a fun vídeo if you could bring more Valorant I'd be pleasure
This is so entertaining to watch. I mean I've never been playing valorant but this made me burst to laugh! His reaction to the game was funny and It's very relatable since I don't know how the game works. 😂
Glad you had fun!!!
Nice
26.48 i love the neon standing there and nobody doing anything about it
My homie actually came and killed her shortly after if you watch back 😂
@@ChocolateKieran i know but that one second is just soo funny
Less go we got kieran to do it
If only I could queue with you guys! You are already doing great for a beginner, I remember not knowing anything getting into Valo and was so frustrated hahaha
I had lots of experience in cs 1.6 , so when i got in the game its was so ez to learn about it , then also watch so many of valorants gameplay
Awesome! I'll definitely have to watch some gameplay and tutorials myself 😁
Honestly, some great ways to learn valorant is by watching pro competitive games. You can observe a lot from crosshair placement to overall movement abilities. Plus, some clutches players pull off really make your favorite agents seem cool af. You should definitely play more valorant though. The coolest and most creative video I've watched to date!
I love how in 26:49 you can see the enemy neon on the right completely clueless to what is happening
"I don't know why I thought she (neon) would have electricity attacks or something."
she does (its her ult ability)
also good guns are the phantom and the vandal. The vandal has better damage but phantom has more ammo.
another good gun is the judge but it's mainly a shotgun though.
Even as a veteran to fps games, this was a steep learning curve at first. But one tip I can give you is 1.) learn crosshair placement (the map has details to help you aim at enemy head level) and other than that just have fun with it, everyday I learn a new trick or tactic so just try your best and see what you can do :)
26:48
neon just be chillin
I was hella confused but I also had never played overwatch, CSGo, or any other FPS game before this. I found it very refreshing to see someone struggle like it did (I also came from console).
yoo that outro is the best
AYYY, I'm glad you like it, thank you 😁
i love how u running around with ur team without holding a gun instead ur in healing position ready to heal the squad haha thats cute
At 27:11 they have the same characters and same spot on the map as the Valorant music video. Chamber vs phoenix, sage, and brim. The amount of coincidence is insane.
holy shit this takes me back lmao its okay bro everyone starts somewhere
LOL, glad a lot of you can relate 😂 thank you, I appreciate that!
Someones A -Pheonix
26:48 LOL THE NEON
Hey im new to this channel and I really like your content. You just got an extra sub!
Thank you, hope you enjoy the videos 😁
Glad to see my main Yoru ( Yes I was playing Yoru before his buffs) in the beginning.
Yoru is COOL as hell!!!
When I first started playing other than my aim i was good i got into the game through the valorant tornament vct
Actually you’ll only learn the different agents and their abilities when you face them in a legit game rather than checking them out in the range. Well at least for me that’s how I familiarized them. Excited for you!
Thank you dude! I am starting to play Valorant and i thought i was the worst player in the world! But when i saw you playing, i got more confident about my skills! Thank you so much bro!! 😁 /j
Hahahaha, that tickled me 😂 honestly though if this can make people feel better about being new and trying then I'd actually be pretty happy!
Ngl the cinematics are what got me into valorant
Exactly what just happened with me 😂
Amazing content!!! Keep it up lad hopefully you get better at the game maybe even hit radiant who knows
I know it has been a little over a year but I understood the concept of the game straight away. friends of mine had to explain very little to me. The only thing I didn't understand was the spray pattern to the guns and that took forever. I was also unawre that you run faster when you have your knife instead of gun in your hand
When I first started playing, i always played with friends who were a lot more experienced than me, and so i was put in higher level lobbies which helped me learn quicker. With that, my best advice is:
-Change your crosshair, you can find lots of tutorials and good crosshairs to try out
-Watch your crosshair placement, try to line up your crosshair with your teammates heads in pre-round, so that you are at headshot level
-Watch lineup and setup tutorials for the characters you like playing most, and on each map.
im a new viewer i just got one of your videos recommended,, i hope you try playing valorant again ! its fun seeing more people introduced to games and stuff i like
Honestly, now that I think about it, the only thing I was confused by when I first played was all the abilities. Apart from that, I understood everything.
a few things, you can go thru walls and smokes, you just cant see thru them. neons "flash bang" that turns your screen black and white is not a flash its a stun. it turns your screen black and white to signal that you are concussed but you can still see unlike pheonix and yoru which you cant see your screen at all.
Im lucky to have had tf2 experience and had watched a video about csgo before trying valorant. But the friends that asked me to help them try the game definitely had the same experience as you did lol
I’ve been playing FPS games for a while so I was more or less able to pick up valorant quite fast. There’s a lot of mechanics that got into valorant, the more you play, you will understand the mechanical part of valorant. Aim is also a huge factor.
when i first played valorant the thing i got confused was about the ability usages and roles.
and my library just filled super quickly after watching a few vids on how to do this n that
few hiccups like burning my team alive, flashing everyone, and being the duelist i dint know i had to go in
wow
nice to see you first play this game like me XD
yoru actually kinda confuse but i have my friends there to help me understand XD
Hope you've been enjoying and having fun! I might have to hop in a call with friends to learn more too honestly!
Kieran: Am I playing valorant or a horror game?
Fade: Yes.
Facts lol
See, now I'm curious...
@@ChocolateKieran before the new agent if you go to the basement in the practice range there would be a jumpscare. You should watch the new agent cinematic
You did well for your first time! I do suggest tho to not aim down site, it isn’t as good to do if u want to be quicker with your gun
Thank you!!! I appreciate the tips and the kind words ☺️
@@ChocolateKieran No problem! I started a few months ago and I totally felt how you were haha! If I could have learned a few things back then it would be a game changer
Ayo that Cypher and Phoenix player KINDA CLEAN THO 😳🔥
RIGHT?! Who was that guy?! Wonder if he got any montages and highlights on his channel? 🤔 🌚
@@ChocolateKieran PERHAPS (wink wink nudge nudge)
26:51 u walked right past enemy neon 😂😂😂
For me I picked up valorant very quickly been playing 3 weeks now and I'm ranked Silver 2, main things I recommend is changing your crosshair and playing high volume so you hear footsteps and never run unless rotating, check corners and you should be good also I've been playing fps games pretty much my whole life so I'm used to fps games.
I remember my first and last time playing PvP in Valorant. It was back when the game was new, the Reyna and Yoru hasn't been added to the game yet.
Well basically I fell off the map from the game and the last thing I heard was "Sage??? " as Sova watched me fall
Oh did you only play that one time and never again?
@@ChocolateKieran Yeah figured that was divine intervention
My first expirience in valorant was even in 2020. But only 2 years later i started to play after i`m delete cs go. First games was like "what the hell is happening on my screen?". But now its more easy to understand gameplay and winning matches. Every new day i`m learning some new stuff in this game. But, oh my god, these bugs and lags..
26:48 hail nah that neon is doing something else
14:38 h o n e y, youve got a big storm comin
As a long time csgo player, I picked up the basic mechanics very quick with valorant. So all I had to do was learn what all the agents did. It’s a fun game
Chat did my boy dirty, no one told him he can't move while shooting lmao
Heres a tip : if your team proceeds to run(W) towards the site( area of planting the spike( bomb)) ( areas to plant spike are named as A B and C when you press M( minimap) you can see the locations .. you dont need to crouch or walk since you need to take the site and hold the site for the bomb to explode
Also if you are in the defensive side.: You need to protect the site from the attacking side and defuse the spike if they planted it.
If you are on the attacking side: you need to take a site , plant the spike and also hold it and prevent the defenders from defusing the spike
There are roles in valorant
Sentinels: you are one of the agents who are good at defending sites and also prevent flankers( people who sneak in behind )
Agents for sentinel: Sage, cypher, killjoy and chamber
Controllers: you block the vision of enemies by using your smoke abilities.
Agents for controllers: viper, brimstone, astra and omen
Duelists: they are usually the ones who are expected to get high kills and also create space when attacking a site.
Agents for duelists: Raze, jett, reyna, neon, yoru and phoenix
Initiators: they are the ones who coordinate with duelists in taking the site when attacking by either opening the site by providing crowd control or provide vision for enemies that hide within the site or area.
Agents for initiators: breach, skye, sova, fade, and kay o
I feel your pain bro when I was a beginner 😭
Glad I’m not alone 😭
I also started last week, currently finishing KAY/O's chapter 1
Ayyy, hope you've been enjoying the game!
@@ChocolateKieran Sure have! Have you?
in valorant, there is roles also. sentinels will be like supports, duelist is the engaging agents, controller are the agents who can defend sites by their skills or from the word it self control. initiator are the agents who have skills long range that can track enemies from afar. maybe you can pick first what roles you like or you'd love to master. Then pick agents who you comfortable to play with. the best guns are the expensive gun, operator is a sniper which can one shot if you hit them in the head or body but not one shot in lower body. Phantom and Vandal is also good, phantom is more on silencer and fast shooting and vandal is more on damage. love to see you play more 😂 but becareful on players who uses smurf acc
i loved when you said "heal cypher? but idek who cypher is" LMAOOO
I started playing Valorant as my first ever shooter-type game. I was playing with my brother at that time who killed everyone before I got a chance to do when I played without him I did not know what to do to get kills and not die at the same time. One month later I have improved so much and I sometimes pop-off with a quad-kill.
I started playing Jett, then moved on to Gekko for a day and then Viper for a week or so. Now I play Raze. When Raze us already taken I play eighter Pheonix or Sage
Dude, my first Valorant experience was 'bout 1,5 years ago and not gonna lie, Valorant is my first EVER 1st person shooting game. Same as you, I was reaaaaaly confused about everything and especially with controls and mouse sensitivity. All of that wasd e f x was not for me, but now I am hardstuck at Bronze 3 for 3rd act in a row...
I think it is important Kieran reads this note about the game for starters:
Many other players and I, picked it up fairly easily with the csgo experience, most players seem to be familiar with the main goals of the game immediately. Tactical shooters are probably the hardest games to pick when you just started playing with mouse and keyboard, there is no shame in it at all. The biggest part of the comunity in these games is pretty toxic so don't be bothered by anyone saying things in voice comms or text chat. A lot of the people get really mad when they lose and a lot of them are stuck in low ranks for their entire years of playing the game, hence the toxicity directed at others. It seems they are frustrated but can never admit to own faults or see their own mistakes. The games Riot put out are amazing but just beware of the toxicity, the best competitive games are the ones everyone with a big ego wishes to be good at but we can't all be the best. Now... Don't let that discourage you!!! the actual game is wonderful, it'll take a while to get used to and you'll learn the map layouts through experience. All the abilities and possible tricks you can pull of with them will just be a matter of time as well. You literally have to suck to learn the game, you'll learn the corners, covers and all the effects of the abilities by dying to them. You will understand what you do to opponents with your stuff by standing in their shoes first. That's actually how you get to know the basics. Chat will help you with any more advanced details in the future like strafing, peeking or bhopping and any other commonly known mechanics within the genre. Most important part is to stay completely unaffected by all the bs thrown at you by teammates, it may be highly offensive, just mute or play like it is not happening. The stronger, more mature mentality and aproach is the key to both having fun and definitely winning!
I guess you could call this some… Sage advice hahaha okay I’ll see myself out
Before I played valorant I had already watched streams of people playing valorant so when I first started valorant I already had an idea what was going on
The thing that in his first time it plays better than me ranked sages XDD
valorant was my like 3rd fps game, so i instantly knew what i was doing. i got bronze 3 right away as my first rank after couple weeks, i was not confused about how to kill people, just the abilities, it's called ADAPTING
Since he knows Yoru abilities now, we gotta make him watch Yoru montages, so he can see what big brain players make this character look like
Okay I’m actually super curious to see this now!
when i started playing valorant i didnt even know what sheids where. i played tons of matches without even buying them lol
There's so much to take in so quickly 😂
Pls do more of this :)
You did great bro!
You're too kind, thank you! 😁
26:49 the fact you passed right by her and neither of you realized gave me so much anxiety lmao
I think they must have been AFK LOL, they were so still I didn’t even consider them a hostile apparently 💀
so cool it would be fun if i could play with you some day nice vid!
I have some tips since I played since beta, Jett has a Jumping ability a dash and smokes, her ult is knives, omen has a blind that reaches enemies from other walls, he has a teleport like Yoru, his ult can teleport to out of reach places or sites, you can do some tricks like.. pick up the spike by pressing f, same by weapons. astra can stun and smoke and can pull. Fade is difficult by my opinion. Fade can pull people like astra she has an eye which reveals people, she has a seeker thing that reveals AND blinds players. I may show some more tips but I'm tired so I hope you learn something!
fun fact: Zeri and Neon has the same voice actor, and they're voice actor live in philippines!
You should do a journey on learning how to play this game
Maybe I will update you guys with Videos where I'm getting better 🤔
@@ChocolateKieran definitely make this a series ✨
I got an ace the first time I played Valorant as Brimstone and I had no idea what I was doing.
I had a lot of first person shooter experience before playing valorant , so the aiming wasn't that hard, pretty familiar to csgo i guess, the only thing that confused me was the abilities, great video! Keep it up
i am glad i had some CS knowledge going into valorant once I heard it was the same genre except with abilities it was easy getting into it but I had to practice since I never played online CS GO.
you'll get it eventually lol biggest thing for a beginner that isn't typical of other games is to not move and shoot
Thank you for the tip and your kindness!
I actually did not even know how to plant a spike when I first played. I also knew nothing about the agents and the fact that I had to buy something in preround so I carried a classic the whole game and bought guns for everyone. So you definitely played better than I did HAHAHAHA
not bad for your first game of Valorant my first game of Valorant I already knew what Im doing cause I like fps game
it was agonizing to assist at first but you got the spirit lmao
i was playing fps when i was 3 so i kinda understood, but like the flashbangs confused me so bad until someone told me abt it. LOL
