- जयंती कठाळे यांनी एक दशकाहून अधिक काळ एका नामांकित सॉफ्टवेअर कंपनीत नोकरी केली होती. परंतु 'मराठी जेवण हे सगळ्या जगात पोहोचलं पाहिजे' या आपल्या स्वप्नाला सत्यात उतरविण्यासाठी त्यांनी बंगळुरूमध्ये 'पूर्णब्रह्म' नावाचं मराठी रेस्टॉरंट सुरु केलं. पुढच्या काही वर्षांत 'पूर्णब्रह्म'चे संपूर्ण जगात ५००० हुन अधिक सेंटर्स सुरु करण्याचे जयंती यांचे स्वप्न आहे !
ऐकुया जयंतीच्या या अद्भुत प्रवासाची कहाणी !
विज्ञान, संस्कृती, शिक्षण, उद्योग, समाज, तंत्रज्ञान, पर्यावरण, कला, क्रीडा अशा विविध क्षेत्रांत अफलातून काम करणाऱ्या व्यक्तींना त्यांचा प्रवास, त्यांच्या कल्पना, त्यांचे विचार हक्काने मांडायचे व्यासपीठ म्हणजेच 'स्वयं टॉक्स ' !
सदर चित्रीकरण दिनांक १४ जानेवारी २०१८ रोजी स्वातंत्र्यवीर सावरकर स्मारक सभागृह, शिवाजी पार्क मुंबई येथे झालेल्या ' स्वयं' कार्यक्रमात झाले आहे.

बरोबर आहे. माज आहेच. अनेक मराठी लोक उद्योगात आहेत पण सोशल मीडियावर असे कोणी बोललेलं आजच पाहत आहे. किर्लोस्कर, गाडगीळ, परांजपे, चितळे, कामत, दातार, आपटे हे अनेक दशके उद्योग करत आहेत पण कधी असले व्हिडीओ मी तरी पाहिले नाहीत.

विचार शक्ति तीव्र असायला हवी, आणि आपल्या बरोबर आपल्या माणसाला पण पुढे नेण्याची मानसिकता हवी ़भलो तो मराठी असो किंवा ईतर ़ मराठी माणूस उद्योग धंदा

I am now settled in Fremont California... ithe Indian... especially marathi community khup mothi ahe... aplyala ithe kahi karta yeil ka?

As an entrepreneur - you are going in the right direction. PM skills in the IT industry has definitely helped. I have visited your restaurant when it was 400sqft and recently in the 5000sqft as well. I have had an enjoyable experience both the times, since Maharashtra cuisine is new to me and i love to try all vegetarian cuisines around the world. It is very inspiring some of your decisions - ensure women get franchise; discipline; confidence; staff having their lunch before service begins etc.
I dont know how to say - but mam you need to understand that vegetarian food doesn't only mean Marathi food. Even in Bengaluru - we have plenty of options for veg food, not just Bengaluru - whole of India we have plenty of options, but if you are picky about a certain cuisine that is not possible. Your portrayal of other food being distasteful compared to Marathi food does not suit you. Uphold your culture but do not demean other cultures. What do you expect - that Bengaluru or any other city will always welcome you with Misal or Pav or Poli? After staying for a decade plus in Bengaluru, you have not learnt any Kannada - when you value culture, you should value everyone's culture.
Anyways, you are an ambitious lady, i hope you will take this in a right way and adapt and co-exist without demeaning other cultures (including food).

I am glad you have kept the cost of the dishes high( which is very little compared to what we pay for the unhealthy pizzas and burgers).
Marathi dishes have a great value and why should they be sold at throwaway prices where no one will value them ? That too outside Maharastra?
Look at all the Bengali restaurants like Oh Calcutta , they are exorbitantly priced because they know the value of their cuisine.

I have been to Purnabramha restaurant in Koramangala. Initially, I was thrilled to find such kind of authentic Maharashtrian restaurant in Bangalore. (I am Maharashtrian from thane) But me and my wife were utterly disappointed with the quality of food. We had gone for a buffet in this restaurant. All the dishes - Dal, sabzi etc were cold. We could see a lot of oil on the Gulab Jamun. All this was for INR 400 per person which was not worth at all. Kanda bhaji plate was for INR 50. It was also served cold and tasteless. Food quality is extremely bad but the lady is good in presenting Marathi culture and traditions through the medium of this restaurant because of which her business has got flourished.

अवाजवी किमतीला बेचव जेवण. मार्केटिंग वरचा असला खर्च कमी करा आणि जेवणाच्या चवीवर लक्ष दया. आणि उगिचच बाकीच्या जेवणाला वाकड बोलल, नावं ठेवली की तुमचं जेवण चांगलं होत नाही. लोकांना लुटायचं बंद करा.

ह्यात काही अंशी तुम्ही बरोबर असाल पण तुमच्या रेस्टॉरंट मध्ये मी जेवलो आहे ते सुद्धा दोन दा कारण पहिल्यांदा मला जेवण आवडलं नाही तेव्हा वाटलं आपला गैरसमज झाला असेल पुन्हा वेगवेगळ्या डिश ट्राय करूयात पण दुसऱ्यांदा सुद्धा घोर निराशाच झाली.
अगदी बेचव जेवण स्वच्छता बरी पण तुम्ही फुगवून सांगताय एवढी नाहीच.
जवळ जवळ मी खाल्लेल्या सगळ्या जेवणाला सेम टेस्ट.
पदार्थ बदलून चव तीच राहते म्हणजे कळस आहे.
फक्त कॉफी आवडली मला.
