Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on TH-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on TH-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on TH-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.

The whole album, New Gold Dream, has this same lush dreamy atmosphere. The original pressing of the album used gold vinyl with swirls of royal purple mixed into the record grooves. Love to have you react to the title cut, New Gold Dream. It's one of my all time favorite songs ever.

Maybe one of the most underrated bands ever, saw them live many times and in 1985 in Glasgow, Bono from U2 just happened to be one of the 1200 people in the crowd, he joined them on stage for the encore New Gold Dream 🙂

Simple Minds are currently (42 years after this song was released!) packing stadiums on a world tour...from the fan videos I've seen of it, they still sound amazing. 'New Gold Dream' is a masterpiece. I love many of their other albums also, especially 'Live in the City of Light' (1987) and 'Real Life' (1991).
I saw them in Birmingham last month (just happened to be on my birthday!)

The best Simple Minds albums were released way before they got famous over here via The Breakfast Club. (Although I love Once Upon a Time too!) Jim Kerr is definitely an underrated singer. 🏄♂️

Very underrated track from probably their best album New Gold Dream. Hunter and the Hunted from the same album is my favourite.

@@Summon256 WTF are u talking about. This was never a big hit anywhere and only charted in three countries. It was the worst performing single of New Gold Dream. Are u confusing it with another track?

Remember aliding a marblezed vinyl out of its gold sleevee...One of the best songs from one of their best album, etherial soundscapes... flows from track to track...they dont really come back to this sound til Big Music...try Blindfolded or Midnight Walking or honest town...
Dont recognize the image as simple minds, beautiful, but a little too goth... maybe a fan mix...the symbol i think is the logo from the Bauhaus best of album
Yes...I should have mentioned that about the image...I think it's just a fan upload though, the mix sounds the same to me as the other uploads of the original 12" (maybe that channel remastered it a little, I don't know). I agree about the album!
