My mentor taught me to make beats on fl studio and mix vocals on protools. I like the way it looks and the plugins it came with is what made my decision.
I was using audacity so far, mainly for dj edits, removing slower areas of tracks, adding some effects, blending some songs together etc. but, looks like Logic Pro has lot more and comes with some music and beats too.
After so many years using other equipment live and working with computers in cyber security, first time working with computer audio and behind the boards which usually i task that to my engineer or co-producer while I manage other parts of the project
As a owner I am learning to use systems I normally pay someone else to do.Currently attending school logic pro is my first daw other than FL ,reason and loopcloud 7 that i am learning fresh. When i saw other tutorials they expect you to know your way some around using a daw, opening a new project, setting the bpm, finding your sounds, and finding your instruments or vsts.
Damn. This was THE best one I've seen and I've been watching these for days now. Everyone else is editing their videos to where they jump around super fast; I can't see where their mouse arrows are; the whole process of their videos is just too quick. I loved this, man. Well done. I'd love to see you just record several tracks. Guitar, drums, vocals, keys, whatever. I'm subscribing right now. Thanks again!
Thank you sir. Sometimes we take things we know for granted. Been on Logic Pro now for 5 days and had to just say OK. STOP! Like Grayboy82 says at the top - I needed to start from scratch. Step 1.
This is super helpful! Thank you so much for this video. I just got my MacBook Pro and installed Logic. I have a midi keyboard as well but I only really know how to play chords haha. It’s a process, but I want to learn how to produce my own songs as well and this is so helpful for me!
Thanks Bruh, as a almost 66 year old BASSIST, who's got some positive feedback from GarageBand recordings, I'd tried Logic Pro before, and ir seemed complicated, because I'm not the most computer literate cat, but you made it easy to follow,. I think I can start recording in Logic Pro. Thanks man.

Thank you so much for making a beginner video that is actually for beginners! I’ve been trying to record guitars but still have problems with even simple edits. For example, removing unwanted noise before I start playing, how do copy a section from a second take and pasting it into the first take, etc. You have a ton of videos. Did I miss a video that addresses simple edits?
I don’t have anything on that. But removing unwanted noises you simply either cut with the Scissors ✂️ T + I or grab the sample and remove it by dragging it in. Pasting is Highlight the section you want to copy then Command + C then go where you want to paste Command + V hope that helps
Very nice introduction. I've had Logic Pro X for over a year and have never turned it on. It came with my Mac that I bought to do FCP video editing. I must say I'm very old school. Logic Pro looks like a program I used in the 80's, Cakewalk but on steroids. I am going to have a lot of fun with this.
Thanks Raul. I started using FL but I thought of giving Logic Pro a try because I love Apple. After watching this video, it really inspired me to make a beat and to learn how to use Logic pro even more now. Thanks Rauls!
Brother, this was a HUGE help to me! I’ve had Logic Pro for years along with enough gear (both hard and software) to fill a garage) and I can’t tell you how many tutorial videos and dvds I’ve watched. Seems they all want to immediately explore every offshoot feature or sub-menu of recording which only confuses or makes it more complicated. I just want to see how to record a basic track, add another and keep going and THEN I’ll want to explore the other features. But your video gets Right. To. The. Point. Question… So I have DAW based software (Keyscape) as well as the Logic instruments but also have actual outboard musical instruments that I want to add like guitars, keyboards, etc. I also have v-drums , so my question is…if I initially start my first track using a software instrument then on subsequent tracks I want use an actual [line-in] instrument, does the previous software source need to still be available or activated in order to record along with/overdub tracks?
Awesome! I’m glad this video was able to help a bit! 🙏 and to your question. Not necessarily you can always mute the previous track by clicking the M and it’ll still record the new line in track then unmute to hear it together . Does this answer your question? 🤓
Thank you for sharing. You got me started and it's exciting because, I still have to learn a LOTTTT!!! Mainly wanted to know if there are automated tunes it can match the BPM and make the basic tone richer, even though I don't know much about music.
