I was working on one 2004, that it just died on the highway. After much digging around, I noticed something weird on the gas, Water. I flush everything The best I could and it started, but was doing that for a while. IT went away eventually. Just my experience. Maybe need the carbs a little cleaning!!?
This bike has been gone for a long time, but turned out that the front cylinder wasn't firing. The membrane between the carbs was all gummed up and wasn't getting fuel and then carbs needed to be synced
Oh my god, I've been chasing this thinking it was a lean condition, I did not even think to check those cuz I installed the exhaust after doing an oil change and had an issue.
Never saw this note, sorry. Turns out, the diaphragm separating the two halves of the carb was filthy with varnish and crystallization from ethanol. No fuel getting to that half of the carb
Oh yeah. Got rid of that bike several years ago. It was the diaphragm between the two halves of the carb. It was filthy with varnish and crystallization from ethanol. Clean it up and tuned it and it was fine after that. Should be another video of it running better on my channel.
Diaphragm? I'm having some of the same issue, can you possibly detail that? I've already rebuilt my carb and cleaned it but I didn't take them apart from each other
Hello! you have a beautiful bike and the exhaust is just awesome! I am the owner of a 2003 yamaha dragstar 1100, can you tell me if I can buy this exhaust from you? judging by another video, you installed a different exhaust)
The bags were Bad Dad, I made the exhaust. Tips from Amazon, crossover for duals made from flipping the rear manifold upside down. Various radii and lengths of pipe from Lowbrow Customs. Sold that bike more than 3 years ago.
Check exhaust leak an valve clearance seems only happening o front exhaust valve might be riding the chek carb tune adjustment. But on a lighter note nice bike
The front cylinder looks to be running lean.
I have a 2003 1100 and mine was the AIS system one of the hoses had a hole sucking fresh air
It always seems to be the front cylinder. In every video I see. My bike too.
I just bought a 01 it does the same thing front cylinder

The diaphragm between the carbs was all gunked up. Was barely getting fuel to half of the carb
Had the same problem last year the exhaust gasket was cracked on my bike made the front pipe take in fresh air and pop off on idle and deceleration

How do you fix this and is this a problem for the bike
A lot of times, if you put on after market exhaust, you have to disable the AIS. Usually fixes it.... for the most part
I had the same issue. Went away after adjusting the fuel mixture.. Wierd it only happened on one cylinder though
Turned out that the "rebuilt and cleaned" carb was anything but. No fuel getting to one side of the carb
sounds lean or valve lash problem
Never saw this note, sorry. Turns out, the diaphragm separating the two halves of the carb was filthy with varnish and crystallization from ethanol. No fuel getting to that half of the carb
Did you ever figure out the problem?
Oh yeah. Got rid of that bike several years ago. It was the diaphragm between the two halves of the carb. It was filthy with varnish and crystallization from ethanol. Clean it up and tuned it and it was fine after that. Should be another video of it running better on my channel.

Sorry, this bike is long gone. I made true duals and sold them before I sold the bike.
Where can I get them bags and the mufflers
The bags were Bad Dad, I made the exhaust. Tips from Amazon, crossover for duals made from flipping the rear manifold upside down. Various radii and lengths of pipe from Lowbrow Customs. Sold that bike more than 3 years ago.

Previous owner claimed carb was cleaned and rebuilt. It was not, the shop screwed him. One side of the carbs was not getting fuel at all
And where did you get that gas cap your bike looks slick af
Where the gas cap pleaseeeeee
What seat is that
Boy oh boy...this bike has been gone for a long time. I don't remember what seat that was.
Where you get those pipes?
The bike is loooong gone. Those were Curb Burner pipes if I remember correctly.
Mine did same thing had bent valve 80 dollar fix
This bike has been gone for several years. Diaphragm between carbs was all gummed up and front cylinder was not firing.
Azienda dei scarichi?
Exhaust leak
Hardly any fuel getting to one half of the carb
Sync your carb
Hey there, yeah sold this bike a couple of years ago. I synced the carbs the next day, I think.
