thank you for sharing your story. I have a 17 years old daughter and she suffers from spasmodic dysphonia. she gets some times very sad and frustrated. it is encouraging to hear that you no longer suffer from SD.we went to a doctor and he said that there is no cure for that. we will do the exercises that you mention. can you please tell me how many minutes a day she needs to do those breathing exercises? thank you

How is your daughter doing? I've had SD since about 15. I know the frustration and humiliation it can bring. There is no "cure" because it isn't a desease. It's an incorrect way of speaking. You are lucky to live in America, where there are great voice coaches who can help your daughter. I hope she is doing better. She'll need all the support and love and patience she can get. God bless.😊

I have a friend with SD and I'm trying to help her get healed from it. She's had it for 10 years. 😔
